Chapter 251

Chapter 251

Knowing she couldn't help here, Evelyn could only nod and follow William as he left.

After getting in the car, Evelyn kept a cold face and remained silent the whole time.

When they got home, William brought over a document folder and knelt down on one knee.

"I know I did many things to hurt you when we got married. I understand that some mistakes can't be made up for, but right now I just want to tell you that without you, my life has no meaning. So I'm willing to transfer all my assets to your name."

As he spoke, he opened the folder, revealing property transfer agreements.

"Just sign these, and everything under my name will be transferred to you. If you want to punish me, it'll be easy. I'm not doing this to force you. I just want to show you I'm sincere."

After finishing, William handed the folder directly to Evelyn.

He was completely putting the power in Evelyn's hands now. Once she signed and got a lawyer to process the property transfer, William would have nothing left.

Evelyn was completely shocked.

Although he had mentioned this before, she had never taken it seriously. She never imagined he would actually do it one day.

But why did her heart feel so empty?

If William had done these things when they were together, how would they have ended up like this?

Now, with things the way they were, she didn't know what to do.

Seeing Evelyn's dejected look, William quickly pulled her into his arms.

"Please, I know you're upset with me, but I really don't want to be apart from you. Without you in my life, I don't know how I'd get by."

By the end, William's voice carried a pleading tone.

He had never suffered any hardship before. Whatever he wanted, he got immediately, never having to work hard for anything.

But after the divorce, he realized there were things money couldn't buy.

Coming home to an empty house, William felt empty inside too, as if something important had been carved out of his life.

This pain left him feeling hollow, as if life had lost all meaning.

William maintained his half-kneeling position, "I know you resent me, and you probably think if it weren't for me, you wouldn't be like this now. I admit it's all my fault. Please give me a chance to make it up to you."

"Of course, if you hate me, you should keep me around even more. Then you can torture me however you want."

As he finished speaking, a tear rolled down from the corner of his eye.

Seeing that tear, Evelyn felt even worse.

"I don't know what will happen next. All I can say is I'll give you a chance, but if one day I want to leave, you can't stop me."

"I won't stop you from leaving me, but you can't stop me from staying by your side. I'm willing to be your servant for life."

Seeing William like this, Evelyn closed her eyes, feeling irritated.

At the hospital, Haven's family quickly packed their things and went to the house Mia had prepared.

When they arrived at the villa complex, they were stunned.

They never imagined that the house Mia casually arranged for them would be a villa, complete with housekeepers and servants.

In the village, the biggest houses they'd seen were brick buildings. They never thought they'd get to live in such a nice place. Their eyes lit up with excitement.

Haven was even more amazed, "I never thought that bitch would be useful for something, getting us to live in a house like this. What do you think we should do next? Stay in the country or go abroad?"

Honestly, Haven had lived in the country her whole life and didn't want to leave, especially since she didn't speak the language.

But the others had different ideas.

"Actually, I want to go abroad. They say it's easy to make money overseas, and we have money now. We could start a business abroad."

"You keep thinking about making money abroad, but have you thought about how we'd live when we don't speak the language? What if someone tricks us? I don't want to go. I want to stay here, stay near Stella."

Soon, everyone split into two groups, one wanting to stay near Stella to take advantage, while others wanted to go abroad.

Seeing everyone arguing, Haven got irritated, "Alright, stop fighting. We need to think this through carefully, but there's no rush. I think we should see their attitude. If they're friendly, and we can get better opportunities, of course staying in the country would be best."

It was obvious that both Mia and Matthew were extremely wealthy and didn't care at all about houses or cars.

Haven naturally wanted to stay in the country, so she could give her family better opportunities.

Looking at her grandchildren, Haven smiled broadly, "See? Our family has money now. Study hard these next few days, especially you guys. Since you're already in college, work hard. If there's a chance, I hope you can get into Matthew's company."

At these words, everyone's eyes lit up.

But someone raised a concern.

"Are we safe now though? What if Isabella is ruthless and sends someone to kill us?"

Although they'd never met Isabella, they'd heard her voice on the phone.

Her voice was cold, and the threat was clear. She warned them repeatedly that if they betrayed her, she'd make them wish they were dead.

That's exactly why Haven had refused the others' money.

This time, if Mia hadn't sent bodyguards over, they wouldn't have dared tell the truth.

Thinking about the threat to their lives, worry showed on everyone's faces.

"We should get out of the country quickly. No matter what, once we're abroad, she can't drag us back and kill us, right? And the world is so big. She won't be able to find us."

Haven hesitated for a moment, lost in thought.

If they fled abroad, would she ever have a chance to come back?

But thinking of Isabella's cold demeanor, she finally made up her mind.

"Life comes first. Let's go abroad and hide for a couple years. During that time, you can work on improving your relationship with Stella. That bitch will never get rid of me in this lifetime."
