Chapter 36 - The Drawings
**Hailey's P.O.V.**
I lived on the streets for over three years and saw some crazy things. However, nothing could have prepared me for the whirlwind that is Davina. Once they had put their things away, she came to the office dragging Jock behind her. He looked like he wanted to be anywhere but there. When she sang her song, I understood. I wonder what the queen thinks about her singing about spinning on a dick. Now I realize why the others kept stopping her before she sang. Although, Kerri thinks she's a riot.
"Are all your songs like this?" Stephanie asks with embarrassment. Davina's face lights up as though no one ever asks her about her songs.
"Most of them. Don't tell the others, but the songs I sing to Camilla aren't like these. I just like to get a reaction out of her parents. They all act like they're mad at me, but they have no one to blame but themselves for giving me so much material. Before I met Jock, I was living all alone for many years, and most of my songs were sad. Now they're happy or make people mad." She giggles as she dances around the office. I like her. She's like a breath of fresh air.
"You can sing to us anytime you want," I tell her, making everyone, including her mate, look at me like I've gone mad. Davina stops twirling and stares at me in shock.
"Really? Even if I say things that most people find inappropriate? Jessi says I don't have a filter, and if I do, it must be broken. I'm already working on a new song about the daughters of the Moon Goddess. Come on, Jock, let's go." She grabs his hand and pulls him toward the door. I haven't heard him say two words since they arrived, but before they leave, he turns to me with a small smile.
"You just made her day. Thank you." He's a good man, and I can tell he loves Davina. She may act a little airheaded, but I think there's more to her than she lets on. After they leave, the others turn to me and stare.
"What?" I ask them as though I have no idea why they're looking at me.
"Do you really want to hear a song about you spinning on Dante? I have to admit her song cracked me up, but that was when it was focused on someone else. I don't want to even think about what she'll come up with about all of us," Kerri says. I look at Natalie, who sits on Brent's lap, laughing.
"At least she said she's making one up about the three of you. I can't wait to hear it." I giggle and nod. Although her song has me thinking things I shouldn't. Is it possible to spin? No, it can't be. It couldn't hurt to try, right?
*"I know what you're thinking, and no, you can't do it, so stop thinking about it."* Dante mindlinks me. I try not to laugh when I reply to him.
*"If I want to try, you can't stop me."* I do laugh when I see the look on his face.
"Before dinner, I want to talk to Brandie to see if she remembers anything about the three that had her under their control. I don't want to overwhelm her, so Dante and I will go alone. We'll come back when we're done." I say as I stand up and pull Dante with me. I don't know why I have this urgency, but I feel like we need to do this now. When I start going downstairs, Dante hesitates. I turn to him and see his disappointment.
"Is everything okay?" I ask, stopping on the steps.
"I was hoping the real reason you wanted to leave was because you wanted to try spinning." I start laughing as we head down the steps. Of course, that's what he thought.
"I think we should wait for later. We have other things we need to take care of first." When we reach the bottom of the steps, he pulls me into his arms and kisses me.
"You know, you looked good holding the pup in your arms. Makes me want one of our own." He says against my lips. I smile and kiss him again.
"Me too. We'll have one soon enough when my heat comes. Let's tackle one thing at a time, and we'll steal Camilla every chance we can while she's here so we can practice." I would love to have a pup who looks like Dante running around the packhouse.
When we arrive at the cell where Brandie is being held, I see her sitting on the cot with a pad of paper and a pencil. She looks like she's drawing.
"Brandie? Can we talk to you for a few minutes?" I ask her. She looks up at us as she sets her things down and walks over to the cell door.
"Of course." She replies.
"Have you thought any more about the things that sent you here? We were wondering if you remember anything else about them." I ask. She smiles and nods.
"I've thought about little else since coming here. That's why I asked the woman who brought my food for paper and a pencil. I wanted to draw them, but I can't seem to get them just right. I don't know if my mind is playing tricks on me or what." Brandie picks up her pad of paper and hands it to me.
Dante and I look through the pictures. Some of them show three dark figures wearing long robes, but you can't make out what's under the robes. Then there are pictures of the three figures each by themselves. One is definitely a woman, but her face is always distorted. Another Brandie shaded dark to make him look all black. The third looks like a monster, and I can tell that's the one she's having the most trouble with.
"It's ridiculous, right? They don't even look like they're from this world." Brandie sighs. I think she's right. I believe they aren't from this world, or at least not this realm.
"I believe you saw exactly what you think you saw. We have many people coming for us from different realms, so this is probably what these three look like. I want to let you out, but do you mind staying with us? I don't want them to get you again if you leave." I want to keep her safe, and I don't feel that she will be if she's out there alone.
"Yes, I'll stay here. I have nowhere else to go, and I don't want to see them again." She smiles at me as I open the cell door.
"Good. I'll have someone show you to a room." At this rate, we're going to be out of rooms soon. "I'm going to keep your drawings. I want to ask my sisters if they have any ideas about what they could be."
"You can have them," Brandie replies. I get someone to show her to a room, and then we return to the office, where everyone is still waiting. Our help is there, too, and I take Camilla from Jessi as soon as we walk in.
"I want as many pup cuddles as I can get while you're here," I tell her while sitting on Dante's lap. He's in love with Camilla just like I am and starts rubbing her little cheek. Do you think Jessi would notice if we kept her?
"Did you find anything out?" Kerri asks. I quickly explain what Brandie told us, and they all look at the pictures.
"I know who they are," Kerri says, studying the drawings. "She actually did a really good job."
"Who are they?" I ask.
"The Triad. The one that looks like a female is a witch she's called The Darkness. The black one is a demon named Ayin. The last one is the monster, and his name is Therion. Satan, Zeus, and Mom have been trying to stop them for centuries. They keep sneaking their way through the realms. If they want the legends, that means they plan to come to Earth for good. If that happens, that will be the end of this realm. They will turn it into their version of hell."
