Chapter 12 — I'm Bored
Kyle's POV:
So we got comfortable in the elevator.
Well, not comfortable. I wonder if anyone can be comfortable being trapped in one space.
I removed my tie and jacket, leaving them on the floor, and I unbuttoned the first three buttons of my shirt.
Macy had stopped trembling as there was a little source of light from my phone.
"What are you doing here?" I asked curiously, bumped that I didn't know what she was doing here so early in the first place.
"Don't you see, I'm baking cookies," she replied instinctively. Then she bit her lip, and I froze.
Flashback to eight years ago. I saw Alexis being so calm.
It was awkward as well. We didn't see each other in months, and we both haven't talked since the Jasmine incident.
She walked on the paved walk, and I followed behind her in silence.
"This is awkward," she admitted, and I nodded my head in response.
I really didn't know what to talk to her about. Should I apologize first or offer my condolences?
We approached a bench and sat on it. I followed behind her and sat on the bench.
"So, what are you doing here?" she asked, and I rolled my eyes.
"Don't you see? I'm baking cookies," I replied to her sarcastically, and she chuckled.
**
This felt like dejà vú
"Did I say something?" She voiced out again, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"N-no," I sighed deeply.
"I'm here because Penelope called me and told me to come to the office immediately."
"Penelope? She's in Paris? Or.."
"I don't know. But she did tell me to come," she replied, and silence fell over the elevator again.
Her sudden hand movement made me stiff.
"Your elbow is so uncomfortable!" she complained. "That's not my elbow..." I slowly said, and I felt her body stiffen as she turned her head to see where she was.
"Shit!" she muttered, her face was turning red. I could see it clearly.
She quickly removed her hand from my crotch and moved a little bit away from me.
"I'm sorry. I didn't know." She closed her eyes in embarrassment.
"It's okay. But just one question, why would you think my elbow was down there?" I asked in amusement.
"Well, excuse me for the poor lighting."
"There's no need to get upset," I commented, and she rolled her eyes.
Why's she mad? Shouldn't I be mad? Women, I tell you.
"I'm hungry and bored," Macy whined, rubbing her stomach.
"I've got nothing on me to offer you to eat. But we can pass the time with a game." I suggested, and she smiled. "Okay."
Look at me talking about playing games. It has been forever since I ever suggested something like that.
"Truth or dare?" I smirked dangerously, but she didn't catch me doing that.
"Shoot."
"Truth or dare?" I questioned.
"Truth."
"Have we met before?"
"Not at all. Truth or dare?"
"Truth."
"That girl you told me about, Alexis, I think? Do you miss her?"
"I do. Truth or dare?"
"Dare."
I smirked, "I dare you to come sit on me and make out with me for at least twenty minutes."
She gaped at me. "You're getting married."
"I'm not married yet, and, come on. It's a dare. Don't be a spoilsport," I said.
Alexis's POV:
Am I really doing this? Oh my god.
I got up to my feet and moved closer to him, and I sat on his lap.
I wouldn't lie and say I didn't enjoy being on top of him. It felt like old times.
Before I grabbed hold of his face, his hand were already placed on my face. Staring into his ocean blue eyes, and him gazing into my eyes, and then my lips, it didn't take long before his lips crashed on mine.
The kiss started slow. It was like we were craving each other, and we were waiting for an opportunity to show it. His mouth gradually moved from my mouth, and he started kissing and sucking on my neck's weak spot. He kissed my collarbone and up to meet my mouth again, His hands from my face to my back, as he was making me grind on him. I took the hint and slowly up and down as he groaned in my mouth, causing me to grab his harder.
His hands found their way under my top, and he rubbed his hand on my bare skin, up to meet my bra.
I jolted from my position when the lights suddenly came on, and the elevator started moving.
Breathing heavily, I pulled away from him and stood on my feet. I glanced at him. He wasn't wearing his tie or his jacket, and I was flushed.
He pressed a button, causing the elevator to stop moving, and he began to fix his tie and shirt. He pressed the button again, and the elevator started moving again.
"Let's do this again sometime, friend," he said, coupled with a wink.
The elevator door opened, and we saw Penelope standing in front of us with a grin.
"Penelope!" he yelled, hugging her.
"Kyle!" she muttered, hugging him tighter.
"What happened? I thought you told me that you'd be in Paris for a week?" he asked her, and she smiled. "We had a change of plans. Couldn't wait any longer." She answered
"What couldn't wait any longer?"
"The wedding. It has been moved to two weeks from today. That's why I invited Macy here, to inform her of the changes."
"Who moved the date?"
"Our parents."
They kept talking like I wasn't even there. The moving date must have been a surprise to Penelope as well because her facial expression was somewhat sad. Kyle's face displayed only anger.
I cleared my throat, making both their eyes fall on me.
"Oh Macy, we're so sorry! Talking like you weren't here. So what do you think?" Penelope asked me and Kyle waited for a response.
"My opinion doesn't really matter, as both your parents have already decided," I said rudely, but that was not how I intended for it to come out.
"So, can you handle it?" she questioned, and I nodded my head.
He is going to get married in two weeks. I'm going to lose him forever.
"You both did not take the news the way I expected you all to. Or maybe, I said it in the wrong way?" Penelope commented, glancing at me and Kyle, who just sat quietly.
"No, it was just surprising, though," I commented.
"I also didn't ask, how did you both cope in a tiny space for exactly two and a half hours?"
Thoughts of the elevator came to my head, and I put my head down to cover my cheeks. Kyle cleared his throat loudly, making me look up.
"Nothing happened. She spilled my coffee on me. That's all." He answered her with a smirk.
"I'm leaving. Macy, wanna come with?"
I nodded my head as she leaned in to kiss Kyle on his cheek and started leaving, I look at Kyle one more time, and he shot me a wink, causing my stomach to dance around.
