Chapter 52 FINALE

I leaned back on the sun chair, my face looking up watching the golden brown leaves blow along the wind. Holding my favorite ice cream, feeling the cold dew from the cup drench my hand. I closed my eyes as Minnie talked continuously.

"Tell me if it wasn't for me you guys could've." I opened my eyes and shifted my gaze to her.

Minnie placed her two fingers together and then separated them while puffing her cheeks making an exploding sound with her mouth. I clicked my mouth and pushed a mouthful of ice cream inside her mouth.

I laughed when she gagged and coughed out loud. I placed my snack down and held my stomach, laughing at her.

"I'm sorry." My eyes turned crescent as hers squinted, her eyebrows meeting at the center.

"You're so mean!" She took out her hanky and with a flushed face she wiped the cream on the side of her mouth. With a chuckle still escaping my lips I shook my head and got my hanky and helped her wipe off the cream on her collar.

"Yah, you're the best." I said while helping her, I looked at her. She pouted and looked away but a small smile slipped.

"Sejeong-ah." I stopped wiping and peeked to the side, behind Minnie a tall man holding an umbrella came. My smile now exceeded it's limits, I gave Minnie my hanky and stood up.

"Sehunie." The sun-ray bathed him, every feature of his face lightened up when he put down the umbrella, I heard the chirping of the birds, the wind blew the aromatic scent of flowers in our view.

What a perfect day.

"I thought the sun was too hot for you so I brought." He motioned the umbrella by his side, I giggled and looked at Minnie.

"Yah, it's been two years but thank you." She hissed as I took my bag and ran to his side.

""Sorry if I took too long." I shook my head.

"You're just in time." I looked at my bag and back at him.

"Let's go?" I asked and turned to Minnie for a moments. "We'll be going now." I waved at her. She nodded with a smile as she went back to her seat, still waiting for someone.

Sehun and I walked side by side under this small umbrella that he brought with him, it was so little to cover us but suddenly it became enough when he placed his hand on my shoulder, pulling me closer to him.

"How did the preparations go?" I asked. He sighed in satisfaction and nodded.

"Everything's going very well."

"So you're done?" I looked up to him, his face is just inches away from mine. I didn't lean back instead I smiled more, teasing him is fun.

Sehun's the President of Vionale this year too, he has to cooperate with the student council for the school events. Us members of the Vionale are just his little minions, he does most of the work.

He's been busy but he always made sure he has time for me, when he feels that I've been lonely he would let me come to his office, I would help him with the paperworks so we can go home earlier.

He made sure I was never alone and I to him.

"Almost, if the council didn't keep messing up we could've been done by now." I looked down at our synchronized feet walking.

"Let me guess, Eunwoo's part of the reason?" I said in a matter of fact with a chuckle. I heard him blow out air.

"Not just him, Irene too." I stopped walking and turned to him, I raised my eyebrows with my mouth parted.

"Don't tell me they broke up again."

"I think they did." He crinkled his nose. I placed my left arm and with my fingers I pinched his pointy nose.

"You should be the one teaching Eunwoo!" I scolded. He laughed, I released his nose from my fingers and fixed his hair which was messed up by the wind.

"I won't. I'm still wary of him with you." I pulled some of his hair. He winced and pulled back the sun touched my face as the umbrella went with him, I released my grasp of his hair.

"Stupid." I whispered.

"He'll learn on his own." He pulled me back to his side again, fixing the umbrella on both of us.

It was quite a long journey but we all somehow managed. A lot has happened in two years, people changed beyond my expectations, and one of them is Irene. It was like she found the key to the chain that she once thought was inescapable, she started to became genuinely happier, her eyes brightened up as her heart started to warm up.

What shocked me was not that she changed, it was when we all found out Eunwoo's behind her change. That's their story to tell, but I'm happy for them even when they fight often but I know they'll find their way back to each other.

To their home.

"LET's always strive for more."I looked at him with awe. Sehun put down the microphone and bowed in front of all the people present in the room. He just finished his speech and even before he can step down Father and Uncle were already at the end of the small stairs.

People cheered as he stepped down the small elevation in the room.

"You did it." I heard father. He tapped Sehun's shoulder, Sehun smiled and bowed to both of our fathers.

"It was due to your support fathers." I turned red when I heard how he called father. Father seemed taken back but he laughed it off, uncle then pulled Sehun in a warm hug.

"I'm so proud of you." My eyes moistened when I saw the scene, this is just so beautiful. I turned to both my sides when I heard a small sob. Mother and Auntie are already getting emotional too as they held my hand from both sides.

"I can't believe you kids were able to beat your dads." Auntie exclaimed. I turned to her not really sure of what to say to this emotional beautiful woman beside me so I just smiled.

"Let's go to them Emma, Sejeong." Mother pulled us closer to the guys laughing at something probably uncle said. As they talked about how proud and happy they were for our achievement, they then suddenly made a world of theirs and forgot that we're standing beside them. People then started to crowd our parents.

I can't really butt in their conversation now, can I.

I felt a hand snaked its way to my waist, pulling slowly next to him. I smiled and just let him.

"You look so beautiful." I pinched his hand on my waist playfully.

"You said that already." I looked up at him.

"I know, but I'm just always out of breath when I'm looking at you." I could say the same for him. He's 20 years old, the prime age of a beautiful man. His features sharpened as his body became broader, he honestly looks a thousand times better than the models I met.

For me, I've grown a lot in many areas and yes including those parts. Overall, I think I'm a beauty.

I think that's why he's holding me even closer when a person with lazy eyes went near us.

"Congratulations for the success of the company." He pulled out his lollipop and courteously bowed. When he bowed his eyes wandered longer on my hand holding my purse.

"And the engagement, I almost forgot." He looked up and licked his lollipop.

"For now can you please just throw your candies? I feel sick watching you." I told him, his lazy eyes looked at me.

"Noisy." I gasped and acted to throw my purse at him.

"Showing off your ring now huh." I exhaled. I turned to Sehun who's just listening.

"I told you not to invite him." He turned to me and helplessly sighed.

"If I could I would want him out of my management too."

Sungjae was one of the few people we recruited to help us make our system. I knew he was smart but I didn't think he would be so intelligent that he can rival the top dogs of other companies, he's helped the company a lot that's why we're on the top. We can't do anything even if he annoys me sometimes.

"So annoying." I said under my breath.

"Well, since Mrs to be is really irritated I'll go to our table now to ruin your night." He looked at me to wink and turned around, I kept looking at his back and we saw him being embraced by my best friend.

I turned to Sehun almost instanty instead of looking at the God forsaken sight, just how did they end up together? They're both so affectionate that it caused my eyes to burn.

"Yah why're you smiling?" He's grinning, I pushed his side with my finger.

"I just couldn't believe we made it." His smile caused me to stop and look at him longingly.

"I guess we did it." I nodded. He looked down, taking my hand he fondled my ring with his thumb.

"We did it." I looked down at the enchanting diamond ring on my finger, my heart leaped and looked back at him.

Yes.

We really can't predict what will happen, sometimes the world suddenly becomes too cruel for us to live on but then the next day you'll want to hold on as if you never wanna leave it. At odd and unpredictable times, we cling in fright to the future but we forgot that we can focus living in the present. That's how scary unpredictability is. We tend to fear what's yet to happen letting ourselves in the present be lost and push us to that kind of future.

But I learned we can also  find happiness in the unpredictable loveliness. Life's uncertainty helped me to grow, to love myself and to love back. It helped me to train myself to stay and live my life to the fullest.

At the end of the day the reason we're breathing is to live and to try making each day the best until we discover the best day.

I think I'm living that day now, as I looked down on my arms.

"She's gorgeous." He whispered, almost crying on my ear and kissed my head. A tear of joy escaped my eyes as my hand caressed her small face.

The day you were born was the best day of mine.
