Chapter 47

The atmosphere was thick with tension. Every eye in the room was on Andrew as he stood confidently, his phone in hand. His piercing gaze locked onto Hayley Monroe as he scrolled through the file on his screen. The smirk tugging at the corner of his lips only made the moment more unbearable.

With deliberate slowness, he read aloud, “During your first year in college, records show that you checked into different hotel rooms over a hundred times—with eight different men. And these weren’t just random names. We’re talking about Thomas Kent, Jace Williams, and Emmanuel Brooks. Recognize those names, Hayley?”

The color drained from Hayley’s face. Her entire body stiffened as if she had been struck by lightning. Her mouth fell open in shock before she found her voice, her tone sharp and panicked. “What the hell are you talking about?! That’s a damn lie!”

Her voice cracked, betraying the fear that had just gripped her.

Abner, her husband, had been silent up until now, but the look on his face said everything. His brows furrowed, his expression darkening as he slowly turned to face her. There was disbelief in his eyes, but there was also something worse—doubt.

Andrew, of course, wasn’t finished. Not even close. He casually flipped to the next page and continued, his voice dripping with amusement.

“Oh, and here’s where it gets interesting. A few times, you booked a room with two men at the same time—Archie and Benny Miller. Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t they brothers? So, Hayley, tell me, was that a study session… or something a little more interactive?”

A sharp gasp left Hayley’s lips as she took a step back, her hands shaking. Her eyes darted wildly around the room, looking for an escape from this nightmare. “Shut up! Shut up! This is all nonsense!” she shrieked.

Andrew chuckled. “Nonsense? I haven’t even gotten to the best part yet.”

He scrolled a little further and then let out a low whistle. “Oh wow, would you look at this? During your second year in college, you had yourself a sugar daddy. Not just any sugar daddy, either. The vice president of Superliton. And guess what? He paid you thirty grand a month for three whole years. That’s quite the allowance, don’t you think?”

Hayley felt like the walls were closing in. She had nowhere to run. No way to deny it.

And Andrew was still going.

“Oh, but here’s the tragic part. During that time, you had four abortions. All done at Beverly Hills Women's Hospital. And the last one?” He sighed dramatically. “Well, that one left you unable to have kids.”

His eyes flicked back to Abner. “Mr. Brandon, if I’m not mistaken, you and Hayley don’t have any kids yet, do you?”

Abner’s jaw clenched. His hands curled into fists at his sides. His breathing had turned ragged, and his gaze burned into Hayley. “What is this, Hayley?” His voice was eerily calm, but there was no mistaking the fury simmering beneath it.

Hayley was shaking uncontrollably now. Beads of sweat formed on her forehead as she clung desperately to Abner’s arm. “No! It’s not true! You know I was a virgin when I met you! You know that!”

Andrew let out a low chuckle. “Oh, sweetheart, relax. We’re just getting started.”

Panic exploded in Hayley’s eyes. She tugged harder on Abner’s arm, trying to get him to leave with her. “Honey, let’s go! We have a dinner to attend, remember?”

But Abner didn’t budge. His gaze remained locked on Andrew. “Keep going,” he ordered.

Andrew smirked. “Gladly.”

Flipping another page, he read, “After graduation, she got a full-body makeover at a plastic surgery clinic. A month later, she landed a job at Brandon Group. And how did she do that? By scratching your Bentley in the parking lot. Sound familiar, Abner?”

Abner’s eyes flashed with realization.

Hayley’s legs wobbled. Her body gave out, and she collapsed to the floor, her face as pale as a ghost.

Andrew pressed on. “Oh, and this is a fun detail. Half a month after meeting you, she took a little trip to Bourbon. Care to guess why?” He let the question hang for a moment before answering it himself. “A hymen reconstruction surgery. After that, she returned, played the innocent card, became your girlfriend, and six months later, you put a ring on it.”

Abner’s face turned an alarming shade of red. His entire body trembled with barely controlled rage. “So that night… when you told me it was your first time…” His voice cracked. “That was a lie?”

Hayley shook her head frantically, her eyes filled with desperation. “No, I swear! You were my first! I love you!”

Andrew sighed and shrugged. “If you’re so confident, why don’t we just check the medical records?”

That was it. That was the final straw.

Abner exploded.

With a single motion, he grabbed Hayley by the collar and slapped her across the face. The sound echoed through the room. She staggered, barely catching herself before falling.

“You still won’t admit it?!” he roared. “Fine! I’ll confirm everything myself! And when I do, you and your entire family will be out of my house! Your parents? Gone! Your brother? Fired! I’ll make sure you all end up on the streets!”

Hayley burst into sobs, falling to her knees. “Please, Abner! Don’t do this! I was young and stupid! But I’ve changed! I love you! I only want to be with you!”

Andrew snorted. “Oh, sure. That’s why even after marrying him, you were still sneaking off with your sugar daddy. You know, for old times’ sake. And guess what?” He pulled out his phone. “There’s a video. Want me to send it to you, Abner?”

Abner’s entire body tensed. His breathing turned heavy. His hands balled into fists.

And then he snapped.

With a growl, he lunged at Hayley, slapping her repeatedly. “You lying, cheating witch! I’ll kill you!”

Hayley screamed, trying to shield her face as her hair flew wildly around her.

Abner’s voice boomed through the room. “I want a divorce! And don’t even think about getting a dime from me! If you try anything, I’ll make sure your entire family disappears!”

Hayley felt like her entire world was collapsing.

She had spent years scheming her way into the Brandon family, dreaming of a life of wealth and status. And now?

It was all over.

And it was all because of Andrew Blackwood.

She hated him. More than anything. More than anyone.

But Andrew? He simply chuckled and turned to Clara. “Babe, let’s go. They have a lot to sort out.”

He took Clara’s hand and led her toward the elevator.

Clara was still in shock, her mind spinning. “Andrew… how did you know all of that?”

Andrew shrugged. “I have a friend who was wronged by her. He’s been collecting dirt on her for years. Turns out, it came in handy today.”

He pressed the elevator button.

Clara blinked at the number. “Wait… that’s the Grand SKY rooftop. Did you press the wrong floor?”

Andrew grinned. “Nope. That’s exactly where we’re going.”

Clara’s breath hitched.

The Grand SKY rooftop?!

It was the most exclusive place in Beverly Hills. And tonight, a mystery man had reserved the entire place.

There was no way.

No way Andrew could have booked it…

Unless…

Her heart pounded as a crazy thought hit her.

Could Andrew be the mystery man?

She slowly turned to him. “Andrew… did you book the Grand SKY rooftop?”

Andrew smirked. “Of course. I wanted to give you the most unforgettable anniversary ever.”

Clara’s mind went blank.

If this was true…

Tonight, she was about to become the most envied woman in Beverly Hills.
