Chapter 37

When news spread that someone had spent millions to rent out the entire Grand Sky just for one night, people couldn’t help but wonder: Who was this lucky person who could afford such a crazy gesture? The gossip went wild. Who would want to confess their love with such an expensive display? The whispers echoed through the city, and everyone was on edge, waiting for the big day to find out who had made such a bold move.

It was almost like they were waiting for a big show, a movie to unfold right before their eyes. People from all walks of life couldn’t stop talking about it. Would the love confession be as grand as the rented venue? Or would it end up being just another overhyped, underwhelming event?

They wanted to know everything—the who, what, when, and why. Everyone wanted to be there to witness the story unfold in person, and they knew it would be a spectacle. Some had already made plans to show up, hoping to catch a glimpse of the event and maybe even take pictures or videos to share later. The curiosity was undeniable.

Meanwhile, Andrew, the man at the center of it all, was making sure everything went according to his plans. He had made arrangements with Alessandro to set up some surprises for the Grand Sky event. After all, the whole thing was supposed to be a surprise for Clara, and he didn’t want to give too much away.

He had a grand vision in mind. This wasn’t just any ordinary event. No, this was supposed to be the moment—an unforgettable wedding celebration on their anniversary, a night to remember for the rest of their lives. There was no room for mistakes. Andrew wasn’t about to let anything go wrong. He needed everything to be perfect. His love for Clara deserved that much.

The Next Morning

Andrew woke up early the next day. He had a clear mission in mind—he needed to buy Clara a car, a really special one. He had a lot of money in his account, but so far, he hadn’t really spent much of it. He had been saving it for the right moment, and he figured this was it. He was ready to splash out and buy her something meaningful.

He thought about it for a while. A Rolls-Royce was the obvious choice for someone who wanted to impress. But then, Andrew hesitated. He knew Clara too well. She wasn’t the type to flaunt her wealth or seek attention. She would probably find it too flashy, too much.

So, Andrew scratched that idea. A Rolls-Royce was out.

He thought again, pacing back and forth in his living room, trying to figure out what car would suit her best. Clara needed something classy, but not too over the top. Something elegant, yet practical. After much thought, he settled on a sedan. Not just any sedan, but one that had a good balance of luxury and reliability.

Andrew decided on a Visiondot sedan. It wasn’t the cheapest car, but it was stylish and would certainly make a statement without being too flashy. The price seemed fair, too—around five hundred thousand dollars. That wasn’t too much, but it was enough to show how much he cared.

He didn’t want to spend a fortune, but he also didn’t want to buy something too ordinary. This was Clara, after all. She deserved the best.

After making his decision, Andrew left his house and headed to the dealership. When he arrived at the Visiondot showroom, he parked his scooter in front and walked inside. The dealership was sleek and modern, with shiny cars lined up in perfect rows. Andrew was dressed casually, and as soon as the salespeople saw him, they raised their eyebrows. He didn’t look like someone who was there to spend big money.

One of the salespeople looked at him and sneered, muttering, “That guy came on a scooter. He’s probably just here for the free air conditioning or Wi-Fi. Ignore him.”

Andrew wasn’t bothered by the comment. He was used to people underestimating him. He just smiled and kept walking, heading straight toward the Visiondot sedans.

The showroom floor was quiet, and as Andrew looked around, he could feel the eyes of the salespeople on him. He was used to this kind of thing—people assuming he wasn’t a serious buyer. But Andrew wasn’t fazed. He had a plan, and he was going to stick to it.

A salesperson approached him. “Can I help you with something, sir?” she asked politely.

“Yes,” Andrew replied confidently. “I’m interested in buying one of your Visiondot sedans. The top-end model, if you have it.”

The salesperson’s eyes widened in surprise. “Oh, the top model? Are you sure? It’s... quite a bit more expensive than the others.”

“I’m sure,” Andrew said. “I’ll take it today.”

The salesperson hesitated, clearly not believing him. “Well, sir, we have a few in stock. They’re priced around six hundred thousand dollars.”

Andrew nodded. “I know the price. It’s fine. I’ll take it.”

Just then, another salesperson—this one more experienced and wearing a sharp suit—walked over and overheard their conversation. He looked Andrew up and down with a dismissive expression. “Excuse me, sir, but are you sure you can afford that? You don’t exactly look like the type who’s here to buy a luxury car.”

Andrew smiled calmly. “I can afford it.”

The salesperson scoffed. “Right, sure you can. You probably came in just to take a look and waste time. I doubt you can even get a loan for a car like this.”

The more the salesperson spoke, the more Andrew could feel his patience wearing thin. “How much commission do you get for selling one of these cars?” Andrew asked.

The salesperson raised an eyebrow. “Ten thousand dollars,” he answered, a smug grin spreading across his face.

Andrew nodded slowly. “Okay, I see. Well, you’ve just lost ten thousand dollars.”

The salesperson blinked, confused. “What are you talking about?”

Andrew turned and began walking toward the door. “I’m leaving. And I’m going to buy the car next door.”

The salesperson scoffed again. “Good luck with that.”

But Andrew wasn’t listening. He walked out of the showroom and headed straight for the BMW dealership next door. He was determined to show these people that he meant business. They had underestimated him, and now it was time to prove them wrong.

As he entered the BMW showroom, Andrew was immediately drawn to the sleek, shiny cars lined up inside. His eyes fell on the BMW 740i, a stunning luxury sedan that was the epitome of class. It wasn’t as flashy as the Visiondot, but it had a quiet elegance that spoke volumes.

He walked up to the sales desk and spoke to a young woman behind the counter. “Do you have any 740i models in stock?” he asked.

The woman looked at him for a moment before nodding. “Yes, we do. Would you like to take a look?”

Andrew smiled. “I’d like to buy one. Today.”

She raised an eyebrow. “Are you sure? The price is… quite high.”

“I know the price,” Andrew replied confidently. “Let’s make the deal.”

The woman hesitated for a second but then led him through the process. As soon as the paperwork was signed and the payment cleared, Andrew walked out of the showroom with the keys to his brand-new BMW 740 in hand. The staff couldn’t believe it. They had just witnessed someone walk in and buy the car on a whim.

As Andrew drove out of the dealership, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of satisfaction. He had shown those people at the Visiondot dealership that he wasn’t the kind of guy to be underestimated. But as he drove away in his new car, he couldn’t shake the feeling that he might have gone a little overboard.

What was he going to do when Clara found out? How would he explain his sudden spending spree?
