Chapter 35 35

Chapter 35 35
Kimberly’s POV

After school that day, I expected London to be on my case. Surprisingly, he was not which I was thankful for. I was not interested in catering to him right now. My emotions were all over the place.

I was walking to my bike when someone cut in front. I stopped in my tracks as my gaze flew up the person’s eyes. I’ve had enough of people’s bullshit for today, and I'm not interested in more.

It was Julian, and what I wanted to say died on my tongue as I raised my head to look at him.

“What are you doing?” I asked him cocking my head to the side. He’s done a good job of avoiding me all of these days now, I do not understand why he has to spoil that. I was already getting used to the fact that we are getting away from each other’s space, which was great.

Without replying to me, he grabbed my hand and started to pull me towards his car.

“What are you doing?” I was confused as hell.

“Get into the car.” He said simply as we stood beside his very posh car. Since the first time I saw him with a driver driving him around, I’ve not seen the scary driver again. Probably because he already regained the use of his legs.

“No, I won’t. You don’t get to order me around. What gives?” I asked him, feeling anger starting to seep into my veins.

“Get into the fucking car right now.” His voice dropped. Shivers skitted along my body from the warning of his tone. He sounded very scary.

“Why will I enter your car? For all I know, you want to hurt me. Give me a reason that will make me want to enter.” I asked him again, squaring my shoulder.

“I won’t call you in front of the whole school if I want to do something bad to you. Now get in.” This time he sounded like he had completely run out of patience.

I looked around me and behold, there were people stealing glances at us. They looked like they were not curious about what was going on but they were and I wanted to go against what he said but I entered the car.

He rounded the car in front and entered the driver’s seat, fastened his seat belt, and eyed me to do the same thing and I rolled my eyes, but I did it. Moments like this are when I wish London were available. He…..

“Dead the thoughts of your little boyfriend coming to save you.” He said and turned my head sharply to face him. How did he….. “you were looking around. I guessed that you were looking for him.” I scoffed.

“You’re just an annoying bug around my ear that won’t go away.” I snapped angrily. For one moment there, I got a jump scare about how he knew what I was thinking.

He zoomed out the lot. I watched my bike in the corner where I parked it.

“You will bring me back here to take my bike in the next hour. My parents don’t know I will be coming back home late, so it must not exceed that time.” I told him in a blank tone.

If he heard me which I knew he heard, he did not reply to me. And I hated him for that. I fiddled with my fingers as he drove me to where we were going. I could recognize the trees that were coming into view. It was his house.

The memory of what happened in the house started to rush to my head and I felt my heart start to rise to my cheeks. By the time he had already parked the car inside his compound, I was completely red and kind of aroused as the thoughts plagued me.

I rushed out of the car immediately and started feeling embarrassed.

“You should keep your thoughts in check. Don’t be caught red-handed. It’s not really good for you.” He said behind me and I swung around to face him. That is the second time he’s doing that thing. How did he figure out what I was thinking?

“Are you a vampire or something? How are you reading my thoughts?” I asked him. My heart was thumping loudly in my chest trying to figure him out.

He froze in front of me and looked at me properly. I looked at him back too. I would have cowered if I were not determined to get an answer from him. His eyes moved from my face down to my neck.

“If I were a vampire, would I not have gone for you here?” My breath hitched as he tapped on my pulse point gently. That simple statement suddenly made me hot all over. I know I was the one who said that we were over and all. But right now. I was rethinking my decision. I really wanted him.

“And how I knew what you were thinking, it was obvious. The smell of your arousal permeated the air.” He shrugged and walked past me into the house.

It took a while and the click of the door for me to actually get out of the reverie that I was in and I turned around to follow him inside.

“I was not…..!” I stopped mid-sentence. I did not want to say the word. I could feel the way my cheeks heated up again.

Damn this guy. I heard him chuckling somewhere in the house.

“Why have you brought me here?” I asked, stubbornly raising my cheek. He was in front of me in no second, invading my space, whilst I was breathing him in.

“Next time someone pressures you as I did, you kick them in the balls. You don’t have a self-protective instinct inside of you at all. And that’s very bad. Would you go along with everyone who threatened you to get in their car?” He said in a low rumble.

“What? Are you shutting me right now?!” I gasped in disbelief.

“Unfortunately, no.” He stepped back and looked me dead in the eye. “You will be learning self defense today and after I will give you something for the mark that burns on your hand.”
