Chapter 34

Chaos exploded all around me, bodies flying across the room, people shouting, and blood covering the floor and furniture, I saw some of The humans go down Quickly, none of them are able to defend themselves as the Vampires could.

i had spoken to most of them, and I have gotten to know some personally, they were really nice people, somewhere even Betrothed to other vampires, They were just waiting to be turned.

Now they never would be.. I wanted to help, I wanted to do something, but I don't know what I could do.

I'm just as weak as the other humans. I don't even know how to use my powers yet, They come to me randomly, I can't control it.

But right now i wish that i could.

Calen shoves me backwards, "you need to get out of here" he says, His voice urgent. "go and find somewhere safe to hide. I will come for you when the battle is over."

I nod my head, Knowing it would be better for everyone if I wasn't seen, the chosen would fight harder if they saw me and if they knew that I was here.

I wanted the queens people to concentrate on protecting themselves not on me. they had families here, they had children here, they needed to concentrate on them.

i felt useless as i turned to leave, but just as i was about to evacuate with the other humans i heard a familair voice scream and my head whipped around, Celeste backed into a corner by three of the chosen vampires.

I looked around, panicked and scared, Searching for someone that might be able to help, someone like the Queen, but I couldn't see any of those I knew in the crowd, and I didn't know who was friendly, and who wasn't.

Terror shot through my body, i had to do something, i couldn't allow the little princess to be hurt, i would never forgive myself if i left now and she was murdered by the vampires who came here to find me.

but I had to move fast. I can not allow them to get to her first, and i certainly can not allow them to hurt or worse kill her.

I took my pumps off and lifted my dress, running as fast as I could to try and get to her.

panic ripped through my chest when one of them get to her first and grab her, shoving her against the wall, i had to do something!

i had to save her, i couldn't lose anyone else.

She was an innocent child, and i won't let them kill her.

"Leave her alone!" i scream, my voice carrying over the entire room, everyone stopping what they were doing at the sound of my powerful voice.

I growled with nothing but fury, I hated them all, They were always trying to take everything from me, they killed my sister, my mother, and my father. Now they were going for an innocent little girl, Who have done nothing wrong to anyone, who is innocent and pure and kind.

She didn't deserve this. She sure as hell didn't deserve to die..

I scream as loud as I could, my voice bouncing off the walls, the room shaking, and trembling beneath my voice, stone falling from the ceiling. The vampires look terrified, which was a nice change, it was their turn to be terrified for once, it was their turn to see what fear felt like, feel their skin crawling in Terror.

They would know what it was like to feel pain today, They will know what it is like to hurt, they will know what it is like to Mourn.

But they would not hurt that little girl, I will not allow it.

I called upon everything within me, I called upon the power I knew that was there, I begged it to help me, I begged it to protect the girl, and before I knew it, the chosen vampires, were dropping one by one, each one grabiing their chest and screaming as they exploded, their bodies ripping apart from the insude out.

Vampires were running, on both sides, trying to escape my furious anger, trying to get away from whatever i was doing to them. but it had already started now, and it wouldn't stop until all of the chosen vampires were dead. i kept my eyes on the ones near the young princess, watching as they dropped like flies before they could harm her, relieved that i had managed to save her when no one else could.

but i wasn't done yet, their were still chosen here, i could feel it, i could feel their lifeforce as i killed them, i could feel their pain as they exploded and died.

Calen came rushing towards me as my feet began to grow tired, my legs collapsing from under me as i fell into the floor, he got to me just in time to stop my head from crashing into the stone.

"Stop Ariel! You are killing yourself." Calen shouts frantically, pulling me into his arms, blood covering his white shirt, though i wasnt sure if it was from me or not.

"i ... i have to.. i have to save Celeste." i whisper, my voice weak and my eyes heavy.

"shhhh its ok, my sister is ok, you saved her. you saved us all." He says, smiling sadly, but i didn't know why he was so sad, he bites his wrist and presses it against my mouth, "drink princess, please, do it for me."

i obeyed him, too tired to argue, no matter how bad the blood tasted.

Why wont he let me sleep?

i need to close my eyes.

just for a momnet.

"i am so tired." i whsiper, my voice barley audible even to my own ears.

Calens holds me closer to him, "its ok love, you rest now, you did so well."

i nodded, wondering why he looked so sad as the darkness pulled me into its depths.

the darkness was nice, it was comfotable.

it was safe.
