Chapter 14
"You really are crazy, Alissya!"the girl thought. It was getting dark. But Alissya was still busy treating people who were there, without worrying about the condition of the girl's body, who had even fainted when she arrived at the palace earlier.
"Alissya, you should rest, child. Let Mara do all this."
Crystal said as she approached Alissya, seeing the girl still struggling with the medicine in her hand. Alissya wiped the sweat from her face and smiled at Crystal.
"I'm going to rest for a while, Mom,"Akssya said and Crystal nodded.
Alissya went to a nearby well to get her hands and feet treated. Not long after that, Grace came over to Altssya and brought her a new outfit.
"Don't work too hard Queen, your body hasn't recovered properly,"Grace said worriedly,
No problem ma'am. I can still do it,"Race sighed softly at how stubborn Alissya was. She was more concerned about treating old people than her own noise. Grace helped Alissya walk to one of the houses in the neighborhood. But their steps stopped when they saw the man in front of them.
"Your Highness,"Grace saluted as she saw Evan's arrival. Meanwhile, she turned her face to the man.
"Where can i change, ma'am?"Alissya asked. At Mr. Loise Gueeni's house,"let me take you."
They walked back to Mr. Loise's house. Just then, Alissya ordered her face and Evan to walk past the man. Grace, seeing Alissya's attitude, frowned in confusion. But she didn't want to interfere in their affairs.
Arriving at Mr. Loise's house, Alissya immediately entered one of the rooms in the house. Slowly, Alissya took off all her clothes and replaced them with new ones. Right now, Alissya felt very tired. She was also not strong enough to stand up. Alissya massaged her head, which felt like salat. Finally, Alissya decided to rest her body on the bed in the room for a while.
After a few minutes Alissya decided to leave the room. But Alsssya frowned when she didn't see Grace's whereabouts.
"Where is she?"Alissya muttered.
Alissya left the house to go back to helping Crystal and the others. She couldn't possibly sit alone when they were all busy helping the injured.
But she was stopped in her tracks when she saw that everyone there was fully recovered. She even saw Calvin in his mother's arms. Eventually, the girl's eyes caught up with Evan, who was standing not far from her.
"It's good that he treated everyone,"Alissya muttered and turned to leave. Alissya decided to find a quiet place to rest.
She was in it now, under the tree where she saw Calvin. Alissya looked up at the star-studded night sky. Alissya smiled as she saw the moon slowly rising from the clouds.
"Queen, why are you outside? The night air is not good for you,"Grace said, coming out of nowhere.
"I just want to look at the moon,"Alissya said, but sounded like someone in the middle.
"Oueen Crystal said that we will stay in this village tonight because it is not possible to return to the palace,"said Grace, making Alissya roll her eyes.
"Then where will we sleep?"Alissya asked.
"I have prepared a room for you and Her Majesty, the Queen,"Lotse said, approaching Alissya.
Alissya sighed softly, and finally the girl rose from her seat and followed Lotse to the room that had been prepared for her.
"Thank you, sir, for giving us a place to stay for the night,"Alissya smiled at Loise.
"I am more grateful to you for helping the people of our village, Your Majesty."
Alissya smiled and went back to her room. But she was when she saw Evan's presence in it. Finally, Alissya decided to climb onto the bed, ignoring the man. Meanwhile, Evan, who had been looking at Alissya, who seemed to be ignoring him, just frowned in confusion.
The next morning Evan woke up without Alissya around. The man frowned when she saw that the clock still showed seven o'clock in the morning.
"Where did that girl go so early?"Evan said as he rubbed his face roughly.
Evan got out of bed and went to the bathroom to wash his face. Not long after, he came out neatly dressed and walked to the window of the room. Just then he saw Alissya sitting with the villagers, laughing together.
"You should try this, Your Highness. Kylie is the best cook in this village,"said Lidya, one of the women there, as she handed her a cake made by the villagers.
"Well, I'll try it,"Alissya said as she took a piece of cake and put it in her mouth.
Alissya's face immediately lit up when she felt how delicious it was. It was even better than the cake Auntie Anne used to make.
"Wow, this is delicious,"Alissya said, making them all smile happily.
"Thank you Your Highness,"Kylie said smiling.
"Please don't call me that. I don't deserve it,"Alissya said, making them all look at each other in confusion.
"Don't say things like that, girl. You're going to make a very good queen. Lord Evan is very lucky to have a partner as kind and gentle as you."
Alisya replied. She didn't know what to say. She could only smile and ignore the words she had just heard,"where is Calvin, ma'am?"Alissya asked Kyle.
"He's still sleeping. The boy can't wake up this early,"Kylie said with annoyance, making Alissya chuckle softly.
Not long after, a young man approached them and bowed his head to Alissya.
"This is Jevano, Your Highness, the son of the chief of this village,"Lidya said.
"Weren't you the one who helped me find all those medicinal leaves yesterday?"Alissya asked in surprise.
"That's right, Your Highness,"Jevano said smiling while treating a headache, "I'm Alissya, you can just call me by my name. There is no need to be so formal,"Alissya said smiling at Jevano, who was immediately stunned by the beauty of the girl.
Those who were busy joking with their teachers immediately became tense when they saw Evan's arrival. They stood and bowed respectfully.
"Your Highness,"Evan ignored her and stared intently at Akssya.
"We're going home now,"Evan said in a cold tone. Alissya, hearing this, just sighed softly and got up from her seat. A carriage stood ready to take them all away. Loise and the other residents gathered around and thanked them for their help. Kylie and the others gave Alissya some food for the journey. Alissya smiled and took all the food. Alissya's eyes fell on Calvin, who was in Kylie's arms. She gently rubbed the top of his head.
"You have to take care of your mom. Do you understand?"Alissya said and Calvin nodded in agreement. At that moment, Alissya went to the carriage and climbed in with Evan's help. The carriage left the village to return to the palace. Silence. Not a single sound came from the couple. Alissya, who stared out with a flat face, while Evan leaned back and closed his eyes.
"Who was that guy you were talking to before?"the question that came out of Evan's mouth suddenly broke Alissya's reverie.
"Who?"Alissya asked without turning around. Evan slowly opened his eyes and looked at her. Meanwhile, Alissya, not hearing the man's answer, immediately turned to look at Evan. Their eyes met. They reached each other before Alissya finally broke eye contact.
"A lot of guys talk to me, so i don't know who you're asking,"Alissya said. Shortly after, Alissya felt a breeze hit her body and at that moment she saw that Evan had disappeared from his seat.
"He always just leaves me!"Alissya said annoyed.
