Chapter 7 Terror From Dylan?

Chapter 7 Terror From Dylan?
I choked when the bell rang, because I didn't respond to the sound; it rang repeatedly and faster as if pressed with anger. My heart was beating faster; it seemed like Dylan was angry because I didn't open the door.
I glanced back at my phone and didn't see any more messages or calls from Dylan, even though he was supposed to contact me to open the door.
This is no longer the sound of a ringing bell but has been replaced by a loud knocking on the door. The faster I went, the colder my body became with sweat. When I closed my eyes and mouth, that's when I heard his voice.
"Daniella, open the door! It's me!"
My eyes opened quickly, and my body, which was initially tense, gradually calmed down. This isn't Dylan's voice; it's a woman's voice.
"Lily?"
I rushed to open the door, and Lily, with a worried expression, looked at me with a lot of cold sweat on my face. Lily didn't say anything; she looked left and right, then went inside, pulling my hand, and closed the door tightly. The door automatically locked, and Lily led me to the sofa to talk to me.
"Why? What happened? Why are you scared?" Lily asked in a hurry.
"Dylan called me; he's following me and telling me his regrets over the phone. When he called me, he was downstairs and said he was coming up here. Then suddenly I was afraid; I was afraid he would hurt my baby." I held my stomach with my still trembling hands.
Lily turned to look right and left, then went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. "I didn't see anyone in the elevator. Are you sure that's Dylan?" Lily asked.
"Of course, that's his voice. When I looked down, he was also looking at me. There's no way I'm wrong," I replied, reaching for a glass of water Lily offered.
"Alright, if you're sure, maybe he saw me and didn't come up here to meet you." Lily was right; that makes sense.
"He must have left, right?" Seeing that I was still worried, Lily patted my shoulder and wiped the remaining sweat from my forehead to calm me down.
"He must have left; I'm here to keep you company. Don't worry." And Lily's words now make me much calmer.
"How did you know about this apartment when I haven't even told you yet?" I asked curiously. I just remembered that I haven't told Lily yet, but Lily is already here even before I gave her the address.
"Damian told me. He asked me to keep you company for a few nights until you get used to his apartment." Oh, I'm so relieved to hear that. Lily will stay with me here for a few nights so I don't have to worry about Dylan coming here.
"And you'll do as Damian says and stay with me for a few days here?" I confirmed again, and Lily nodded in agreement.
"No one can go against Damian's wishes in our family." Suddenly Lily said something I couldn't understand.
"Family? Are you and Damian family?"
"Yes, he's my cousin." And for years, even when we were still sitting in the same school desks, Lily never said that she and Damian were siblings.
"Damn, you've been lying to me all this time?" I couldn't hide my disappointment.
"I didn't hide our relationship. It's just that Damian is too quiet and you never ask." Lily defended herself, feeling innocent.
"At least Damian should be seen at your house. Why am I the one who goes back and forth to your house but never meets him?" My protest.
"He's my cousin, not my brother. Of course we live in different houses, and you won't find that quiet man at my house because he only attends important events." Lily defended herself again. Looking back, I probably should have asked Lily, but nothing about her behavior made me suspect they were siblings.
"Damn it, okay, let's forget everything." I went back to drinking the water Lily had given me until it was all gone without a trace.
"Okay. Basically, Damian is my cousin, and he's nothing special or worth showing off," Lily said, placing her crossbody bag near my pile of bags.
"I'll probably stay here for three nights. Are you okay? My workplace is too far from here, so I can only accompany you until that day," Lily mumbled as she changed her clothes.
"That's okay, I'm very grateful," I said lightly. I reached for the TV remote on the table and pressed the buttons to find an interesting channel to watch in the evening.
"Daniella, by the way, why are you so afraid of meeting that man? I mean, Dylan. Aren't you still in love with him and hoping for his responsibility?" Suddenly, Lily was back by my side, staring at me so closely.
"When did I ever say I still loved him and hoped for his responsibility?" I asked casually.
"You didn't say it, but your facial expression, your eyes, and every word hinted at it, even if you shouted curses against it."
Lily is right; it's not that easy for me to forget someone who was once in my heart, especially since Dylan is the father of the baby I'm carrying.
I admit I still love Dylan and hope for his responsibility. But suddenly, my mind reminded me of how rude Dylan was when we dated. He once asked me to abort this baby and end our relationship, and although it was excessive, I was afraid he had evil intentions in his heart to hurt or kill us both so that no matter where he went, his name would remain clean of scandal.
"I don't know; suddenly I'm afraid Dylan will hurt my baby." I only explained the gist of it to Lily, but she seemed to understand because she nodded her head as a sign of comprehension.
Some time passed; Lily and I had taken turns going to the bathroom and getting ready for bed. Unfortunately, Lily complained and grumbled because there was dry trash belonging to Damian that he seemed to have forgotten to throw away.
When Lily went to take out the trash, the sound of my phone ringing suddenly came back. Dylan, using the same number he used earlier, sent me another picture message.
"It seems the timing isn't right; I'll get back to you later. I'm leaving these flowers at your door as my apology."
As I read the message, the sound of the door clicking shut finally echoed. Lily also entered the room, flustered.
"Someone put a bouquet of flowers in front. Do you know who sent it?" Lily examined the bouquet of flowers from front to back, hoping to find the sender's name, even though it was clearly exactly the same bouquet of flowers that Dylan had just sent me a photo of.
