Zion ordered the band of security to stop Morgan Harris from prancing into the elevator. Time on end Zion had told him I wasn’t on seat and my oil and gas business had taken me to Barcelona.
But Morgan had doubted Zion and bickered heavily with him, “I must see your boss , please it is very urgent. Something has happened to my bank account. I must see him,” Morgan pled and stroked his unkempt hair.
Zion stared at him from head to toes and studied how he had lost so much pounds and cuteness in just a week of losing his company to me. Morgan was a mirror of himself now. His collar bones were shooting out, eyes bleached brown and bulged out. Skinny cheeks that deprived him those killer-looks stuck out now.
Like poor economy Morgan was depreciating in looks and I couldn’t just wait to return from Barcelona and empty my vengeance on the asshole.
“Vacate! Go home, maestro!” Zion barked and clapped his hands, “I just told you the world richest man is not on seat and you are still in doubt, uh! Zion clicked his fingers and one of my staff advanced with a white paper. “Take the visitors’ paper and fill up. Once he is back you will get a phone call from us.”
Morgan struggled to collect the paper with trembling hands, as he stared at it sternly before shaking his head, “I am not a visitor. I know Brian Patrick is in there. Don’t you know me anymore, u? I am Morgan Harris, the chairman of the Morgan Group…”
Zion interrupted him with his scorn-filled eyes that warned him better than his frown, “Not anymore. All I see right now is Morgan Harris, a commoner a nobody. Isn’t it all over the news that Mike Don is the chairman of the Morgan Group after he became the highest share holder in the company? You should have chosen your enemies wisely rather than step on the toes of the world richest man, Brian Patrick…uh” Zion pressed his lips to caution himself, “I am such an ass. If he were here he would have spanked my ass for calling him such name. Mike Don is a trillionaire you shouldn’t toil with…”
Morgan had started shedding tears now and each tear that left his cheeks wet the visitors’ paper in his hold . “I shouldn’t have treated him badly when he was my delivery boy. I shouldn’t have accused him falsely either…” his voice broke out and he raised his gaze upon Zion, “I never knew he was the true heir to the Saint Don Group…”
Zion interrupted, “Glory to God! I am not having a dose of his vengeance. I almost became a victim of his wrath. I never knew he was the true heir to the Saint Don Group. All the while I thought I was the true heir. I never knew I was the cousin and worse still I snatched his wife, Melissa Fanny in marriage…” Zion snorted, “I am still fortunate to be on his payroll as his personal assistant.”
Morgan caught his tears with a handkerchief before sniffing. His eyes reddened so much that Zion had pity on him, “In my next life I would never maltreat any person whether rich or poor…”
Zion interrupted, “Yeah, especially personality that bears Mike Don, they are good at vengeance.” He shrugged, “Come to think of it, what offense did you commit? Did you snatch his wife like I did?”
Morgan shook his head in the negative , bit his lower lip and replied , “I underrated him, I nicknamed him the delivery pig boy, I wrote him off and counted him to be vulnerable .”He breathed uneasy before adding, “I…I “ he stuttered, “I accused him of siphoning fifteen billion dollars, even when he never did.”
Zion shook his head and sighed. “That was so evil of you. How could you have done that to a destiny Croesus like Mike Don, uh? Zion fetched him a new visitors’ form to fill, “Please fill it up. My boss is in Barcelona as we speak. This time around you need to stop crying and don’t wet the form with your dirty tears because I won’t give you another.” He warned sternly, and added, “Perhaps you need more handkerchiefs we have got plenty of them.”
Few days dragged by and Zion pranced into my office after knocking, “I am happy to see you back from Barcelona, boss. Hope you had a wonderful trip…”
Zion was yet speaking when my door creaked and opened again; Morgan Harris barged in on us and shot his frown.
“Heh what the hell is wrong with you? Zion yelled at him and wanted to put a call to my security to bundle him out immediately…
“You don’t have to bother, Zion . I got this under control,” I sounded coldly and smiled briefly.
Zion was still infuriated at him, “Apologies, boss. I told him to hold on while I go inside to inform you of his presence. I never knew he would barge in like a bat from hell…”
Morgan Harris fell upon his knees and pled, “Please Mike Don, I can’t access the fifty million dollars you paid me some days ago for the shares of the oil well. My bank account has been frozen by you. You have taken ownership of my company by forceful act and now my account…”
I yelled furiously and slammed on the table, “Go to hell, Morgan! I never took over your cheap company by forceful means. You willingly endorsed your signature on those documents and handed me your license and prove of ownership. As for your bank account, you may not be accessing it anymore because it has been linked to the missing fifteen billion dollars you accused me of…”
Morgan had his hands on his head and wailed, “No, no, please tell me is not true. Tell me you are bluffing. How could you have done that to me, Mike? You have ruined me like a nameless pauper…”
“uh…uh…oh, a nameless pauper? I shook my head, “By the time I am through with you , a nameless pauper would be better off than you!” I beamed and sighed.
Morgan covered his teary face with his hands…
Trouble ahead…
