Once my phone rang one of my protocol officers scuttled to my phone and handed it over to me.
“You are onto the world richest man. Can you please send me the pictures of Rolls Royce Cullinan in your garage. I have a budget for thirty million dollars. I would want ten of it. Yes thank you,” I said and hung before the protocol officer took the phone from me.
I sat in the exquisite gold galvanized king-size sofa with a strong featured face as the maidens and costumiers decorated me. When my gaze fell upon a tuxedo that was just brought out from the wardrobe, I dragged a frown across my face, shot a menacing irritating gaze at it before I gestured at it.
“What is that?” I stretched my hand to it, and stole a glance at the label, “No!” I left it in the hands of the costumier, “I demanded for a tuxedo from the Royal English Designers. I can’t pay one million dollars for a tuxedo and don’t get value for my money.”
The costumier bowed, “Boss apologies. But this is customized as you demanded and the English dealers say they can’t afford your taste.”
Puzzled within me, I narrowed my eyes at him, “You should have told me they can’t afford my taste rather than give me flimsy excuses.” A huge frown flushed across my face as I gestured at the costumier to rise.
The costumier was about prancing into the wardrobe when I blared, “Heh, what do you think you are doing?” I asked, pushing out one of my legs to one of the costumiers who was donning my feet with luxury polished oxfords.
The costumiers bowed, “Boss I want to return it to the wardrobe since you don’t have need of it. Perhaps you may like the one I will bring next…” he elucidate still bowed.
I interposed with a grunt. “No, no, that piece must not return to my wardrobe anymore. I gift it to you dear…”
I wasn’t done speaking when the costumier fell upon his face and broke down in tears. “Oh boss this gift is too much for me! This tuxedo is worth one million dollars; my generation may never make a hundred thousand dollars let alone this! You are spoiling me dirty boss! I will be of all humans most miserable if I wear this asset. Please I beg of you, permit me to insure the tuxedo. My generation shall know no poverty hence forth.”
“Come on dear, do whatever you like with it. I have no need of it anymore. You can return now and fetch me a mafia suit, the one with the ten million euro price tag from Italy.”
The costumier took a bow and disappeared.
In the heat of costumiers decorating me, one of my smart protocol officer pranced into the costume room and bowed with a knee on the floor , “Boss, your cousin Zion Peters visits you. He is at the visitor s lounge, boss,” the protocol officer reported.
I let a contagious smile but soon my face flushed with a scowl when the protocol officer spoke yet again.
“But boss his eyes are welled up with tears. I don’t know if you would want him to join you in such fallen countenance. I stand to be corrected if I am asking wrongly, boss.”
I shook my head gently, “No, you asked rightly,” I said before casting an encompassing glance across the room, “Now costumiers leave my presence this minute. I want to break words with my cousin.”
“As the world richest man pleases!” they echoed in unison took a bow and dispersed irregularly.
Upon gaining entrance into the costume room Zion bowed and fell upon his face, “My honor to be with the world richest and true heir to the Saint Done Group, Mike Don!”
“Arise my beloved cousin,” I intoned and caught sight of Zion’s eyes which swarmed with tears. But then my brow knitted as I questioned yet further, “Why the fallen countenance cousin? Why the teary face?”
Zion sniffed and sucked a deep breath, “Melisa just divorced me because of my sudden poverty. The Fanny’s wouldn’t want to give me a second chance because I have opted to work for you. I feel dejected and downcast…”
I let a contagious smile before snorting and saying, “I thought I gave you a preamble of what the Fanny’s wouldn’t do once you reveal your intention to work for me. And about Melissa divorcing you is no news, have you forgotten she is my ex wife and I was a victim of what she did to you, uh?”
I rang the bell by my side and handful of costumiers and protocol officers sprang out, “I want my cousin to be charismatically dressed in the best English blazers, diamond jewelries and perfume,” I ordered and they bowed swiftly. Furthermore I dialed some numbers in the phone and once the receiver picked I spoke into it, “Get the private jet ready. I would want to fly with my cousin.” I hung up quickly.
Minutes dragged by before the costumiers gave Zion a befitting iconic appearance. He was donning English blazers, sleeves, diamond necklace and oxfords.
“Now your job as my personal assistant just begun, cousin. Here is the key to an Austin Martin car. This also is the key to your detached duplex.”
Zion Robert broke down in tears as he fell on his knees and grabbed me on the legs, “Steady on, Zion this is just a tip of the ice berg. I want you to relocate your father down to Rio Hondo. He must not keep suffering as a poor gardener. I want him to join my team as my special adviser. I have a master plan for everyone. I need everyone to grow with me. I am already dominating the world.”
Zion said after wiping his tears. “I am grateful for carrying me and my father along. We will forever be loyal to your lead.” He asked yet further after dimming his eyes thoughtfully, “What about the Fanny’s what plan do you have for them?”
I grinned and gnashed my teeth, “Their downfall is best discussed on the private jet. You can’t wait to hear what I plan to do to them,” I groaned through clenched teeth.
