Chapter 60 Vomits

Chapter 60 Spit All Over Him

As Jack turned around, Alison stuck out her tongue playfully. She had hurried over as fast as she could; it wasn’t a short distance from her place to here. If she hadn’t run, they would have had to wait even longer.

After tossing all the luggage into the trunk, Jack turned to her and said, “Come on, hop in.”

Just then, Aidan, quick on his feet, saw Jack about to open the back door for Alison and quickly called out, “Alison, sit up front with me.”

Alison agreed softly. Even though Jack was acting like a gentleman now, she was still annoyed about the prank he pulled on her two days ago.

So, she walked over to the passenger side, where Aidan was already holding the door open for her. With a bit of a huff, she plopped down into the seat.

Actually, she had come along to help Jack smooth things over with the Winston family, but she had no intention of getting too close to him.

Seeing Alison sit next to Aidan, Jack didn’t say much. He just leaned back in his seat and closed his eyes to rest. If it weren’t for Aidan’s situation, he wouldn’t be treating Alison so nicely.

Thinking about that face that always annoyed him, Jack felt uneasy. He still couldn’t believe he had taken Alison to the rooftop two days ago. It was like he was possessed. Even now, it seemed unbelievable.

The car drove steadily to the airport and finally parked in the lot. Jack got out, helped with the luggage, and pulled a folding wheelchair from the trunk.

Alison looked at the wheelchair, puzzled. “Hey, Jack, why’d you bring this? It’s bad luck to take it on a trip!”

Jack rolled his eyes at her. “Of course, it’s useful. Are you dense?”

Alison muttered to herself, “You’re the dense one!” She really didn’t understand what Jack was up to. It wasn’t until Jack brought the wheelchair to the driver’s side that she realized Aidan hadn’t gotten out of the car.

She quickly ran over, concerned. “Aidan, what’s wrong?” She had a hunch but hoped it wasn’t true.

Aidan sighed. “I slipped in the shower last night. The doctor said I can’t walk for half a month.”

“And you’re still going on this trip?” Alison frowned, thinking he was pushing himself too hard.

Aidan looked resigned. “Other than the final signing ceremony, I’ll need you and Jack to handle the rest for me.” He felt useless, but the doctor warned that walking could cause long-term damage, so he didn’t want to risk it.

Alison thought to herself, wondering who this important client was that required Aidan’s personal attention. But as a low-level employee, she had no say in the matter.

Now she understood why Jack had helped with the luggage. It wasn’t out of kindness; he had no choice. No wonder he hadn’t spoken to her in the car.

Jack became the busy one, handling the luggage check-in and boarding passes, while Alison pushed Aidan’s wheelchair, unable to help much.

After passing through security, they boarded the plane just in time. Alison had never been abroad, but the two men were experienced travelers.

On the plane, the three seats were arranged with Alison by the window, Aidan in the middle, and Jack on the aisle. Aidan had specifically arranged it this way.

Hmph, Jack might want to get close to Alison, but Aidan wouldn’t let him. Even injured, he would protect her.

As soon as they took their seats, Alison started feeling airsick.

At first, she tried to tough it out, sitting by the window but not daring to look outside. She closed her eyes and listened to soft music, hoping to ease her discomfort.

But soon, she couldn’t hold it in any longer. She felt the urge to vomit.

She quickly took off her headphones, unbuckled her seatbelt, and gently nudged Aidan. “Aidan, I need to get out.”

“What’s wrong?”

“I need to go to the restroom.” She covered her mouth, speaking through gritted teeth. She was about to throw up if she didn’t get to the restroom soon.

Aidan, with his injured leg, moved slowly, like a snail. Alison was getting desperate, regretting agreeing to this trip to Paris.

But it was too late now; the plane had already taken off. She felt worse and worse. Jack finally woke up and saw Alison’s pale face, looking concerned.

“Alison, are you okay?” Jack asked.

Alison was almost in tears. “I… I’m airsick. Please… move.” She could barely speak, and the two men didn’t realize how serious it was. She was about to throw up.

Alison decided to climb over Aidan’s legs but needed Jack to move first. Jack, finally understanding, said, “Why didn’t you say so earlier?” He grabbed her waist and lifted her over Aidan’s legs. But it was too late; Alison vomited.

She didn’t mean to, but the disdainful looks from those around her made her feel even worse. She hadn’t wanted to come, but they insisted, and now she felt like she was suffering.

She vomited all over Jack’s shirt. She thought he would yell, but he didn’t. Instead, he handed her a trash bag. “Here, use this. Don’t make me suffer more.”

Alison’s face turned red, but she couldn’t think about it. She vomited into the bag until she had nothing left.

Jack had already taken off his shirt and put it in the trash bag, handing it to a passing flight attendant. “Throw this away.” The shirt was ruined.

When Alison finally got through the worst of her airsickness, she looked up to see Jack standing shirtless in front of her, his bronze chest as fit as ever.

Aidan gently patted her back, scolding, “Alison, why didn’t you say you get airsick?”

Alison’s lips trembled. She had thought listening to music would help, but it didn’t.

Jack, coldly, said, “Give it to me.”

“What?” Alison was confused.

“Idiot!” Jack wanted to knock some sense into her. He grabbed the trash bag from her hand. “This.”

Alison let go. After vomiting, she was too weak to stand and slowly sat in Jack’s seat.

She thought Jack would give the bag to the flight attendant, but he didn’t. He threw it away himself.

Alison leaned back in her seat, exhausted. When Jack handed her a cup of water, she realized she didn’t even have the strength to drink.

She shook her head lightly. “I don’t want any.”

“Drink!” Jack tilted the cup, forcing water into her mouth. “You’re filthy.”

Alison knew she was a mess, but there was nothing she could do on the plane.
