You Really Disgust Me (Part 1)
Alison was thrown to the bed with a "thud."
Before she could react, Jack pinned her down and demanded, "What is he doing here?"
Alison gasped for breath, her face pale.
She looked up at the man on top of her, her lips slightly parted, yet unable to utter a single word.
There was nothing left to say between them.
In fact, he was the one who should have explained the situation with Gwendolyn to her.
However, he had no intention to explain.
The two stood there, facing off, the silence suffocating.
Alison's face grew paler, but her gaze grew increasingly resolute.
"Speak up. What exactly is he doing here?" Jack stared painfully at the woman beneath him.
Aidan was his brother, and he knew how Aidan felt about Alison.
"Did I come back at the worst possible time?" His voice was low and slightly trembling.
Of all people, Aidan was the one he'd been most reluctant to face these past few days. During their confrontation that night, he'd let Aidan beat and injure him—not because he felt he owed Aidan anything, but because deep down, he knew he owed Alison.
Although nothing had happened between him and Gwendolyn, outsiders might think he'd cheated on her. Therefore, he'd used Aidan's fists to try to ease his guilt toward Alison. He never expected Aidan's attack to make Lucia jealous or lead to her premature labor and tragic outcome.
In the days since, he had been consumed by guilt, knowing his thoughtless actions had caused young Tyler to lose his mother.
Despite his guilt, he would never allow Aidan to have improper intentions toward Alison again. His pride would never permit it.
Alison's anger flared instantly, and the image of Gwendolyn's photo on the Maple Gold Crown Hotel's awards board flashed through her mind.
"Yeah, you really picked the worst time to come back. Why don't you just leave again? That'd be best."
She wanted him to go back to the Maple Gold Crown Hotel, the comfort of that other woman.
She looked at him and felt only nausea.
"Get out! Get the hell out of here!" She growled under her breath.
If not for their three young children, she would have wanted to leave immediately.
Jack stood there motionless, merely staring at her coldly.
His large hand gripping Alison's collar tightened suddenly, and his other hand tore violently.
Alison felt a chill across her chest.
Jack had actually torn open her clothes.
The sensation made her feel as if she'd been instantly transported back to the night they first met.
"Jack, get the hell out of here!" she growled; her anger seemed to spread to the children in the villa.
Downstairs in the living room, Lyla and Tyler's cries instantly shattered the night's silence.
Ignoring the baby's crying, Jack hooked her chin with his long finger, lifting her lips slightly.
His mouth claimed hers.
He bit down hard, transferring the anger and bitterness in his throat to her.
The crying continued unabated, and Alison was frantic with worry.
She pushed, punched, and kicked with all her might but couldn't budge him at all.
"Jack, that's your daughter!" she cried out in desperation.
But he remained unmoved, his lips roaming over her skin, biting and kissing, refusing to let her go.
"Jack, you disgust me," she said with revulsion.
"You don't feel disgusted when you're with him?" he sneered.
"You're responsible for Lucia's death. Now her child is crying over there, and you're completely unmoved. Jack, you're so heartless," she accused.
At the mention of Lucia, the man finally stopped pressing against her.
He narrowed his eyes.
He turned, picked up her phone, and called Skyla.
"Lyla and Tyler are on the living room couch. Take them to your room to sleep. If they get hungry, just grab the formula in the fridge."
"Yes, sir," Skyla replied without hesitation.
Soon, the children stopped crying.
Silence returned to the villa.
Alison glared at Jack angrily.
For the first time, she realized just how despicable he was.
Seeing that he had no intention of letting her go, she simply closed her eyes, stopped struggling, and appeared completely resigned to his will.
If this were what he wanted, she would play along to the very end.
"Damn it!" Jack stood up and turned to leave the room.
Soon, the sound of light footsteps echoed down the hallway, accompanied by Aidan's mutterings. "Lucia... Alison, give me some more wine. I want to drink some more."
Five minutes later, a car pulled out of the villa.
Jack had driven Aidan away.
An hour later, Alison, who had just finished showering, was dozing off when she suddenly felt a tight grip around her waist.
In her sleep, she instinctively leaned toward the man beside her.
