End It (Part 2)
As Cassandra slammed the car door shut, several men arrived just in time, but they were blocked outside.
She started the engine, spun the steering wheel wildly, and charged toward the gate.
The others followed closely behind.
“Don't open the gate! Block that police car!" Alexander's voice crackled over the walkie-talkie.
"Yes, sir." The gatekeeper did not dare delay.
Suddenly, however, the gate began to open slowly.
The gatekeeper froze in shock. "Sir, I didn't open it..."
"Lower the barrier! Block it!"
The barrier descended, only to be smashed clean in half by the police car with a thunderous crash.
Inside the gatehouse, the guard watched helplessly as the vehicles sped away.
Alexander raced to the entrance and watched the receding vehicles helplessly.
The gatekeeper's face drained of color as he protested, "Sir, I didn't open this gate."
"I know," Alexander replied. "She has Maxim's security key. This gate can be operated remotely. Only Maxim and I have that key. It seems Cassandra is the only one who knows Maxim's whereabouts now."
Meanwhile, on the highway, Cassandra was racing the stolen police car.
Officer James had already contacted traffic control and his team, ordering a full-scale pursuit of the hijacked vehicle.
Soon, sirens blared from all directions, causing Cassandra to panic and drive erratically.
A sharp turn lay ahead. Jack swiftly turned the wheel, but as the car rounded the bend, a police car blocked the road ahead.
With a loud crash, the Lamborghini collided with the off-road police vehicle. Jack didn't hesitate, quickly reversing and pulling sideways to overtake the police car from the flank.
Alison, who was sitting in the passenger seat, saw a car vanish rapidly through the windshield ahead of the police vehicle.
That car could actually transform!
"Jack, chase it! That's Matthew's car!" she shouted, pointing.
As they brushed past the police vehicle, they found that Cassandra was no longer in the car.
Matthew must have planned this in advance, whisking her away at top speed.
Why would he rescue Cassandra?
"Matthew hasn't shown up these past few days. I thought we had scared him off. I never expected him to come out like this, risking his life.” Officer James fixed his gaze on Matthew's car.
"He's looking for Cassandra. There must be a reason," Alison said.
"He might be looking for Daphne, not Cassandra," Jack said calmly as he drove.
Alison's heart skipped a beat.
"Has my DNA test report come back yet?" she asked Officer James.
"Oh, no... not yet," Officer James hesitated before answering.
"Officer James, I only need to know if Jack and I are related by blood," Alison said, smiling faintly.
"You and Mr. Jack are not biologically related, but you and Emily are one hundred percent biological sisters." Officer James gave an awkward chuckle.
Meanwhile, Matthew's car sped away, disappearing around a bend.
Faced with two roads ahead, Jack pulled over, unsure which direction to take.
"We lost him," he said helplessly.
"Damn it! That old fox's car can transform. That's how he got away last time," Officer James cursed.
"Hold on, Jack. I don't believe that car could have vanished so quickly right under our noses. We're at the fork now. There's no traffic on either street, but there are over a dozen cars parked along the road. I bet Matthew's car is parked among them, hidden right there."
“Open the door! I need to get out,” Officer James shouted.
"Don't get out." Jack called out, stopping Alison get out of the car.
