Chapter 349: You ARE MINE
The sound of a helicopter split through the night.
Alison cursed inwardly. Her escape had reached its end.
With the helicopter’s arrival, the woods erupted in confusion and shouting.
Pierre, accompanied by a wolfhound and several men, swiftly landed in the woods the boarding ladder swinging in the wind.
“Bunch of wimps! Where is she?” he barked.
“She vanished right around here,” a subordinate replied.
“Release the hounds! Search!”
The dogs’ barking was close and growing louder by the second, pounding terror into her chest.
A man crouched beside the wolfhound and spotted her in the flashlight beam.
“Pierre, she’s here,” he reported excitedly.
“Should we drag her out?” he added.
“No need. I’ll handle this myself.” Pierre strode forward, his steps deliberate.
“Take the hounds away,” he commanded in a deep voice.
Trembling, Alison closed her eyes.
“Heh. Alison, you’ve certainly surprised me. Come, give me your hand. I have to treat you well tonight,” Pierre chuckled.
His hand brushed her arm — her body flinched, instinctively recoiling.
In the darkness, a loud laugh rang out.
“You’re mine now, hahaha…”
He pulled her roughly out of the narrow crevice beneath the boulder. Before she could utter a sound, Pierre pulled her tightly into his embrace.
Her hands instinctively shielded her eyes from the harsh light — the glare was unbearable.
Noticing the flicker in her eyes, Pierre quickly barked at his men,
“Don’t shine it on her!”
The flashlight beams swept away, and she felt the sudden wash of darkness swallow them both.
“Light the path! You idiots!” Pierre growled as he carried Alison toward the helicopter’s boarding ladder.
“Let… let me go, please?” she whispered weakly.
“No—way.” Pierre chuckled darkly.
“You’re the treasure my father personally recommended to me, you know?”
Seeing Pierre treat her with such strange affection, his men exchanged bewildered glances.
Each man silently thanked fate he hadn’t laid a hand on her — otherwise, he’d already be dead.
The helicopter roared into the night sky, its engine howl tearing through the silence.
Alison froze, her mind blank.
“Alison, what are you thinking about?” Pierre asked, his lips curved into a captivating smile.
“My children,” she murmured.
“How about I bring them over tomorrow? Let them keep you company?” His voice was gentle, softer than the monster she’d seen before.
“No, they couldn’t sleep in a strange place,” she objected, thinking fast — escape would be impossible then.
“Huh? What about you? Can you sleep at my place?” he flirted, making her blush.
She fell silent, afraid to invite his mockery.
“What’s wrong? Why aren’t you speaking? Shall I give you a massage?” he leaned close and whispered, his tone tender — disturbingly intimate.
“No, not. It’s not numb anymore,” she replied hurriedly, her face pale.
“Really?” His hand slid down to her calf, his fingers kneading lightly through the fabric.
The numbness in her legs gradually faded.
“Pierre, can I sit up for a moment?” she asked softly.
“Why? Uncomfortable lying on me? Other women rushed madly into my arms,” he sneered.
“Pierre, I… I just want to stand for a while,” she stammered, barely holding back tears.
