Chapter 261: Heart Racing
Alison felt she and Jack had become the protagonists of Titanic.
Couldn't it mean we could never be together? This thought weighed heavily on her heart.
The carousel stopped, and Alison jumped off.
"Alison, why are you looking so down?" He wrapped his arm around her waist as they walked toward the children.
"No-Nothing," Alison said, "Let's go home. The kids are tired. "
"My memory fails me. You just had a miscarriage and shouldn't overexert yourself. Come on, let's go home."
The family of four walked hand in hand out of the amusement park.
Jack waved, and two cars pulled up--his black Lamborghini and a stretched Lincoln limousine.
"Jack, why two cars?" she asked, puzzled.
Jack snapped his fingers and told the children, "Sophia, Ethan, you two ride home in the limo. Mommy and Daddy will take the other car, okay?"
"Why?" Sophia asked, a bit reluctant.
Ethan tugged on her shirt hem and whispered something.
Sophia nodded. "Okay, Daddy! I will take the other car with Ethan." "Come on, honey."
Ignoring Alison's blushing, Jack pulled her into his car.
They sat side by side in the backseat.
"Why aren't you driving yourself?"
"I didn't feel like it." His voice was already hoarse.
Then he pressed a button, and a glass partition rose between the front and back seats, separating them from the driver.
"Jack, what are you doing?"
His lips pressed down, kissing her, whispering, "Alison, relax. This glass is excellent at blocking sound, and no one outside can see us."
She hadn't expected him to be so eager in the car.
She murmured, "Have you been holding back this whole time? Didn't you have other women?"
"No." He said earnestly.
His lips and teeth sucked at her, trying to merge her entire being into his.
"Mmm... ah..." She tried to push him away, but couldn't resist sinking deeper into the tremors.
"Jack . . ." she murmured, her dazed eyes brimming with longing.
Perhaps tonight she should have a proper talk with him. She must have misunderstood him.
"Alison, give yourself to me." He coaxed.
"Jack..."
Finally, with a low growl, everything fell silent.
Consciousness slowly returned.
Suddenly, she gasped, "Ah!"
The car had stopped.
"Silly girl, we got home ages ago. Just notice it?" He had sensed that the driver had stopped and gotten out long before.
"Bastard," she said, pounding his chest.
"Stop fussing, sweetheart," he soothed her.
He carried her home as she blushed.
She made up her mind to talk with him after dinner.
At the doorstep, she whispered, "Put me down. Don't let the kids see."
"Why? It's normal for a husband to carry his wife." As he spoke, he pressed the doorbell, waiting for the kids to open the door.
Then he kissed her cheek.
The door opened, and Ethan saw everything clearly.
Alison dared not look at him, burying her face in Jack's embrace.
Just then, Jack's phone rang.
He placed her on the bed and checked his phone.
He scanned the message, then froze for a while.
He lifted his head and said, "Alison, I have to go out on urgent business. Take good care of the kids."
"Okay," she replied.
"And take care of yourself, too, okay?" he added.
"Mhm," she responded.
He added, smiling, "I love you, honey."
Her cheeks flushed as she pushed him away. "Go now. Come back early. I have something I want to tell you."
Though reluctant, she chose to trust him.
"I'll, Alison. Wait for me." His voice was hoarse as he kissed her lips before leaving.
