Chapter 137 She Must Be
Jack knew deep down there was no escaping Alison tonight. But as he looked at her, he felt a twinge of hesitation. That hesitation was quickly overpowered by his desire for her. He suddenly scooped Alison up, cradling her in his arms, her head resting in the crook of his elbow.
"Jack, put me down. I want to go home," Alison's eyes were wide with panic at his sudden move.
A wicked smile played on his lips. "Since your kid's fine and doesn't need you, how about we cancel that vacation?"
Alison knew exactly what was coming next. She wanted to run, afraid of the intensity Jack was exuding.
She opened her mouth slightly, trying to say something, "But Aidan, he..."
"Shut up!" Jack growled, cutting her off. "Tell me, are those two kids his?" He had seen the kids call Aidan "Daddy" with his own eyes, but he needed to hear it from Alison.
Alison fell silent, unsure of how to respond. If the kids weren't Aidan's, how could she explain who their real father was? She closed her eyes, not wanting to face Jack. She felt like an ostrich, trying to avoid the question that was so hard to answer.
She feared Jack would take her kids away and that it would affect his happiness. She didn't want to take that risk; she just wanted to quietly protect her children.
Her silence made him think she was admitting it.
Jealousy surged within him as he carried her to the bathroom, his footsteps echoing his anger and frustration.
He wasn't going to let her go.
Tonight, she seemed different, yet the same. Everything was so confusing. Once in the bathroom, he dropped her onto the shiny floor, making her wince in pain.
He quickly stripped off his clothes in front of her. Her body felt tainted, touched by other men, even if it was just her brother. The thought made his face flush with a mix of desire and anger.
Clothes scattered on the floor, and she watched in horror, retreating like a frightened rabbit until her back hit the cold mirror, sending a shiver down her spine. There was nowhere left to run.
He stepped forward, his tall frame looming over her, and lifted her like a small animal, forcing her to tilt her head back against the mirror.
The showerhead sprayed water down on her, drenching her. She stared at him, unaccustomed to this side of him. His hands roamed her body without mercy, scrubbing every inch as if trying to peel off a layer of her skin, causing her immense pain.
She remained silent, letting him do as he pleased. First, he scrubbed her face, and when his fingers pressed hard against her lips, they turned red and swollen, throbbing with pain. Moving from her lips, his hands traveled down to her neck, scrubbing vigorously before moving lower, grabbing one of her nipples.
He continued to rub harshly.
The area turned red, losing its previous fairness. She trembled like a small rabbit in front of him. His excitement grew, but he didn't want a dirty version of her.
He had to clean her body thoroughly before she could please him. Their agreement had just begun, hadn't it? She had to fulfill her part.
He couldn't afford to be soft-hearted; being soft-hearted would only lead to being deceived by her again. She looked so much like her, but the red mark on her chest was unexplainable. If she had really been with his brother, he would kill her.
Tears welled up in her eyes as she shook her head, saying she wasn't in pain, but her heart ached even more. Tears mixed with the warm water from the shower, making it hard to tell which was which. She looked at him with a sorrowful smile.
His hand moved down to her flat stomach, thinking of the two kids.
"Did you have someone else's kids?" He didn't believe for a second that the kids were adopted.
She shook her head desperately, tears flying. "Jack, no, no." She silently repeated to herself that the kids were his, not someone else's. As she shook her head, water droplets from her short hair splashed onto his face, making it glisten.
Tears flowed freely, but Jack didn't notice, thinking it was just the shower water. Her body was still stunning, hard to believe she was a mother. He started to wonder if the kids really weren't hers, maybe they were adopted, or even his brother's illegitimate children.
His heart softened again, a feeling he was all too familiar with. Their previous encounters had been in the dark, where he hadn't seen her body clearly. But now, the familiarity was almost overwhelming. She was so much like her. Though women's bodies were similar, each had unique features.
But if it was really her, why hadn't she said she was Alison and not Emily? Why hadn't she told him the truth? These questions puzzled him. His eyes scanned her body, and aside from the unexplainable red mark on her chest, everything else was too similar.
The woman in his memory wasn't Emily, he was increasingly sure of that. Back then, she had deceived him with her clever tricks. Initially, he didn't believe her and even wanted to drive her away. But gradually, her gentleness captivated him, leaving only her in his eyes and heart. However, when he decided to accept her, she dealt him a fatal blow, making him fall from the clouds to the depths, hating her.
Everything was so mysterious, and she remained silent.
He let go of her small foot, water splashing as her beautiful toes appeared especially cute to him. He had always liked her feet, small and pretty.
His expression flickered between a smile and deep thought, making Alison unable to read him. She really didn't understand him anymore, not at all.
Jack stood up, his tall frame once again looming over Alison. Seeing her trembling body, he smiled slightly and led her into the bathtub filled with hot water. Except for one spot, he had already cleaned her entire body.
He had seen countless women's bodies, but the most memorable one was hers. Yes, it had to be her. But he didn't understand why she chose to remain silent.
Fine, if she wouldn't speak, he wouldn't expose her. From now on, he would thoroughly understand her, control everything about her. He would gather evidence, leaving her no place to hide.
The image of the two kids flashed in his mind again. Whose kids were they?
"You look a lot like her," he suddenly said, startling Alison.
"Huh? What?" she asked, confused.
"Nothing," he replied with a wicked smile, determined to uncover everything. He wasn't that easy to fool.
He lifted her short hair from her forehead, "Grow your hair out. You'd look beautiful with long hair."
This moment of tenderness made Alison feel like she was back in the past, enchanted by his voice, she nodded.
He stroked her hair, "That's a good girl."
With just a bit of tenderness, he captured her heart, making her willingly submit to him. Wrapping her in a towel, he wiped the water from her body as they walked, water droplets scattering like his anger being soothed.
