FUNERAL
That kiss was a mistake. It was never supposed to happen. I thought touching my lips, well it already happened. There is no going back now. you are such a pervert. Ivy, I scolded my wolf and sauntered into the house.
I saw my mom sleeping on the couch. Her eyes were puffy. I pulled her blanket up her chest and patted her hair before going to the dining table that was filled with different dishes ready for me to eat. I sat at the table and ate until my heart's content and left the rest of the food.
I strolled into my room, taking off my clothes and dropping my phone on the table. I yawned, putting my hand on my mouth as I stretched my muscles. I jumped on the bed wearing only my undies and pulled the duvet up to my chest, closing my eyes as I drifted to sleep.
The sunlight paved away into my room, shining its blinding light in my eyes. I rolled on the bed, closing my eyes with the duvet, but it was useless. I was already awake. I had to get up. Today was the day. The day I would have to say my final goodbye to Belle. I really miss her. I was sitting up on the bed, running my hands through my hair, when I heard the sound of the door opening and closing, and I looked up to see my mom approaching me with a tray of food in her hand, a sandwich, and juice.
She sat on the bed and held the tray in front of me. She lift the sandwich up and put it in my mouth without uttering a word. What is wrong with mom? I just woke up and she was asking me to eat. I hadn't even brushed my teeth. I crinkled my nose and took a bite of the sandwich so as not to get her angry and started chewing it.
"How is it?" she asked, with her gaze fixed on me.
"It's delicious, mom." I replied with a bright smile, taking the sandwich from her and continuing to eat it. She smiled and stroked my hair while staring at me with a lot of love and admiration.
"I miss feeding you. Today is your friend's funeral. Are you going to go?" she asked bluntly.
"Of course mom, she is my best friend. I wasn't able to protect her, but I must be at her funeral." I said.
"That's good to hear. Eat up and go freshen up. I will also accompany you to the funeral." She said, and dropped the tray on the counter close to my bed before making her way out of the room. I finished the sandwich and jumped off the bed to drink the juice. I carried the glass of juice and was about to take a sip when my phone began to ring. I picked up the phone and stared at the caller. It was Jackson.
"Good morning honey. I am calling to inform you that I have managed to dig out your friend's bone from the place where they buried her with the help of Andrew, so her parents can bury her in a more respectful way." Jackson said. Why is Andrew suddenly being so kind lately?
"Thank you so much. Her parents will be very grateful, although you guys are murderers!" I yelled and hung up, tossing my phone onto the bed. Alpha monster, you will have to pay for murdering my friend without a reason. I said, clenching my fist. All I want now is revenge. I will first do that by dating Anthony and dumping him.
"Don't do anything stupid. Anthony is a sweet boy. I think I have a special bond with his wolf already." Ivy said.
"Don't even think of falling in love with him; I don't like him." I replied and drank all the juice in one go.
"Then who do you like? Andrew?" she asked.
"I don't like any of the brothers. Although they are our mate, you know that. I don't know why I am explaining things to you, but you know very well that I don't like them." I replied and dashed into the bathroom.
After hours of getting ready, I was good to go. I ran out of my room to my mom, who was in the living room talking to Jackson. They were both wearing black clothing, and so was I. I was wearing a short black strapless gown that reached my thigh. It was sexy enough to grab Anthony's attention. I noticed my mom and Jackson were checking me out with their eyes scanning my body.
"What are you wearing? Isn't this dress too mature for a girl your age?" Jackson asked, moving closer to me. I was about to speak when he took off his suit jacket and knelt in front of me, tying it around my waist.
"You are not supposed to wear such revealing clothes. It's your friend's funeral. You are not going to a fashion show." he complained and stood up looking down at me.
I clutched the jacket at my waist and started untying it. "I know I am not an adult but this is what I want to wear and in a few months I will become an adult. This clothing was bought for me by Anthony. He wants me to wear it to the funeral." I said, staring at him with puppy dog eyes. His brow furrowed.
"What is going on between the two of you?" He inquired.
"Nothing, he is just being generous." I said and brushed past them, ignoring Mom, who seemed to be lost in her own thoughts.
I was taken to the funeral by Jackson in his car. He drove into the pack cemetery and parked the car at the side as he saw a few pack members ahead sitting in different chairs. They were all dressed in black as they bowed their heads.
I stepped out of the car and bumped into a wall. Actually, it was someone's chest. I felt his hard abs and looked up at him. It was Anthony. He had dyed his hair blue just like he promised to be honest. He looked stunning and it made my heart flutter. Snap out of it. You want to take your revenge.
