Chapter 100 - Violet

I left the hall, giving it one last look before walking up the stairs to my room. The hall was going to be filled with people I didn’t know. Thinking about that made my stomach twist. I breathed past the nausea. “One more day, and you can relax.” I said to myself as I went into my room and pulled out the dress that I ordered online.

Simon was disappointed that I didn’t go to the dress maker in town. He said that he would buy me anything I wanted. He constantly forgets that I still have a duffle bag full of cash stored in our closet. I could have bought a crazy expensive dress, but the one online was the one I couldn’t get out of my mind. I did have to use his credit card though which made him happy.

A knock came from the door, Greta popped her head in. “I thought about it and decided you needed this as well.” She pushed through the door and revealed two bottles of champagne. “You can’t have a spa day without champagne.”

I beamed at her. “This is definitely not like our childhood spa days.”

“You only can go so far with fizzy water and orange juice.” She laughed as she set the bag of supplies down on the coffee table next to the bottles of champagne. She had a garment bag over her arm that she laid across the back of the sofa. She sat down next to it and grabbed the remote and started flipping through the reality tv options, before landing on the Housewives of someplace.

I pulled my dress out of the bag and hung it on the back of the closet door.

“Ok, we got trashy tv. I brought my dress…holy shit. Vi, that dress is gorgeous!” Greta came and stood next to me staring at the dress I had been dreaming about. “It’s perfect for you. Go put it on!”

I slipped it off the hanger and went into the closet. Since it arrived, I hadn’t had a moment to try it on. There was a chance that it wouldn’t fit, and I would be screwed. I threw my clothes to the side and climbed into the dress. It glided over me like butter. The straps were off the shoulder, sweetheart neckline, and a mermaid cut. The dress hugged my body in all the right places and had a slit running all the way to my hip. The dress was black, but a dark purple sequence covered the dress in elegant floral shapes twisting and etching through the dress. I zipped up the back as far as I could, then using magic to pull the zipper the rest of the way up.

I looked at myself in the full-length mirror that hung on the closet door. The dress was perfect, it accentuated my breasts and showed the curve of my ass.

“Hey!” Greta yelled, banging on the door. “Get your sexy ass out here.”

“Okay!” I laughed. I slipped on the shoes I bought as well black, peep-toed high heels. I didn’t normally wear heels, but this occasion called for it. I walked out of the closet.

“Holy shit!” Greta said, giving me a once over. “You’re hot. Like so hot I would do you hot…don’t tell Si I said that.”

“Really? It looks, okay?”

“Better than ok. You’re going to give Simon a heart attack when he sees you. You two will probably need a few minutes alone before you can join the party…if you know what I’m saying.” She winked at me.

“Shut up.” I shoved her. “Now get your dress on, I want to see it!”

“It’s nothing compared to yours.” Greta said as she pulled her shirt over her head and stripped completely naked in front of me.

“Gods, Greta.” I covered my eyes with a hand.

“What? You’ve seen me naked before.”

“Back when we were ten. You’ve definitely filled out.”

“Thank you.” She grunted. “Hey zip me.”

I pulled my hand away and walked over to her slowly, making sure not to fall. I zipped the back of her dress up.

“See nothing can compare to that dress. But I like this one.”

Greta stood in front of me in a blush pink, full length, chiffon gown. When she walked it flowed behind her. The top was a corset, shoving her breasts up. She wasn’t as well-endowed as I was but this dress made her look huge.

“That dress is gorgeous on you…and can I mention your tits?” I laughed.

“Right?! That’s why I chose this one. I want to drive Jared crazy all night.” She smirked at me.

“And you will for sure. And probably all the other male wolves coming.”

“They better not come after me. Jared will have their heads. But I might like it. I love when Jared gets a little jealous.”

We looked at ourselves in the mirror. “What are you going to do with your hair?” I asked. Greta had a short pixie cut, there weren’t a lot of options for her.

She ran a hand through her hair. “I was just going to style it with some gel, maybe put a few gemstones in it. What about you?”

I looked at my hair, I never had my hair done before and I normally just wore it up in a ponytail or bun. “I might just leave it down and curl the ends, for a softer look.”

“I love that.” Greta said as she ran a hand through my hair. “Ok, let’s get these dresses off before I ruin mine and let’s get to this spa day!” She turned her back to me, signaling that she wanted me to unzip her.

“How long do you think it will take you before you spill something on it?”

“You’re cruel.” Greta said, turning toward me and letting the dress fall to the floor. “But I give myself an hour, tops.”

“I bet you’ll spill something within thirty minutes.” I laughed. “Make sure to only drink clear drinks, then no one will know.”

“Smart. I’ll do that.” She went back to her clothes and threw them on and poured a glass of the champagne for both of us.

I pulled my zipper down with magic and let it slide to the floor. I gently put it back on the hanger and into the bag as if it were so fragile that any movement would tear it.

“Jesus, Violet.” Greta was staring at me, wide eyed. “What happened?”

“What happened?” I didn’t know what she was talking about.

“Your back, it’s scarred to hell.”

“Oh.” I bit my lip. “You know when I talked to you before…you know me, and Simon got together.” I cleared my throat. “That was part of the takeover. They weren’t particularly nice when people got out of line. They would us magic to inflict pain on us.” I shrugged. I didn’t know what else to do.

“We’ll get them.” Was all she said. She gave me one last look and went back to the sofa.

I pulled on my sleep shorts and a tank top and sat down next to her, taking a sip of the champagne. The bubbles tickled my nose and the liquid worked through me, almost relaxing me instantly.

“I really needed this.” I smiled at her as a woman on the tv screen threw a drink into another woman’s face. “This is very trashy tv.” I laughed.

“We need it.” Greta said as she dug into her bag and pulled out our spa day paraphernalia. In no time, the coffee table was covered in the different activities we would be doing throughout the day. “We are going to do face masks, paint our fingernails and toenails, we are going to use lotions and potions and pretty much everything I have.”

“Let’s get started.”
