Chapter eleven
Estella's head hurts. Like hell.
And her thighs hurt too. Like a deeper level of hell.
In fact, her whole body hurt very badly. And what was worse? Estella couldn't open her eyes, she was too weak. Which meant she couldn't see what new injuries Dexter had added to her body.
And Estella badly needed to see them. They were an anesthesia to the pain. She needed them to keep the desire for revenge alive. If not, Estella knew she will succumb to the pain and try to kill myself.
Like she had planned to do.
After some more trying, Estella gave up trying to open her eyes. Just then, she heard footsteps. Then the sound of a door opening. And something clanking against metal.
Not a chain.
Which new torture object has Dexter brought?
A second footstep. Door opening and closing. Then a voice.
"How is she?" It asked.
Not Dexter's voice. It was the same soothing voice Estella had heard once before. The same one that had calmed her, then left her in even more despair than she was before it came.
"She's still unconscious. Her mind is too broken, and her body is almost going vegetative. Her defense mechanisms against mental pain."
The second voice sighed. And Estella thought she heard pain.
"Just do what you are best at. It would be a shame for her to die just now she has regained her freedom."
Wait… what?
Estella had been trying to shift her legs, any part of her body really, to let them know she was conscious. But she paused in the attempt when she heard the last statement.
What does he mean by now she has regained her freedom? Is she longer at the Blood Mansion?
"She won't, I promise. But she may take a long time to heal. She is going to be bedridden for a long time." the other voice said.
Estella decided the not so soothing voice was a doctor, judging from the way he spoke.
"When it does it, I want it to be complete." the soothing voice said. It was a command, not just a statement.
"Yes sir!" the doctor replied. Estella could almost hear him standing at attention.
Some more footsteps, and the door closing again. That was when Estella realized that it had been doors closing all these while, not gates. The dungeon had gates, which means she was definitely not at the dungeon anymore.
So, where was I?
Before Estella could ponder more on this, she felt something pierce into her arms. Probably a needle.
"Go to sleep, poor girl." the doctor whispered and left.
Estella instantly felt drowsy. Her lids pressed on her eyes. Only the beeping of a machine now, and a drip-drip sound. Which dragged her into a dream. Something was dripping…
___
… drip!
That was the sound the drops made as they hit the ground. The drops of her blood. Estella watched another drop fall to the ground, then she closed her eyes and bit back the tears.
Yet, they came in torrents. Soon, her blood wasn't the only thing dripping to the floor.
"Yes. Weep, sweet dear. I thought the guards said you can endure pain?" Dexter's voice taunted her from below.
"Why did you try to kill yourself then? You tried to escape me? Let me tell you now, sweetie, not even death can take you from me. Not till I have done what I want with you!" Dexter said fiercely.
Estella only shut her eyes more tightly and felt herself swinging on the chains on which she was hung.
"I think I want to have another go." Dexter said suddenly. "My pecker can't stand, but my finger is itching for that warmth." he laughed stupidly.
Soon, Estella felt herself going lower. She didn't even try to resist. She had gotten used to being violated several times a day by now. She just allowed herself descend limply, till she was level with Dexter.
There was no ripping of clothes or pants this time. Dexter don't even bother putting her in clothes anymore since the last time he tore the one she wore.
She just felt her legs pulled apart by the chain, then his fingers were invading jer vagina hole mercilessly.
Then she stiffened. Not because of what was being done to her. She could hear a hell of a racket somewhere outside.
Dexter obviously did not, being too absorbed in abusing her.
The racket was coming closer to the dungeon. Soon, even Dexter heard it. He paused a moment before the gates burst open.
Estella could not resist opening her eyes. At the gates, with a dreadful rage on his face, stood the most handsome man Estella had ever seen. Behind him was a man in a biker's jacket.
With the rage still on his face, he started advancing in her direction. Estella started trashing, trying to get way from the rage….
___
"Shh!" the soothing voice said, stroking her face.
Gradually, Estella realised she was screaming. She calmed down, but her breathing was still forceful.
Suddenly, her eyes snapped open. The first thing she saw was the same face that had set her screaming in her nightmare.
Indeed, she almost screamed now. She shot up on the bed, and the drip connected to her arms snapped, leaving a gaping wound. But this time, there was no rage on the face. Only fear, and concern.
The man was stroking her face with tender fingers. And incredible as it seems, there was tears in his eyes.
Estella stared in confusion. Why was he crying? Had he not come to torture her? Then she remembered she was no longer in the dungeon.
"Where am I?" she asked the man.
"You are where you are safe. No one to torture you here. You're absolutely safe." the man whispered to her.
The man's voice was extremely soothing. For some reason, it really made her feel safe. She almost felt like curling up in his arms and going right back to sleep. And she knew that this time, she wouldn't have any nightmare.
"Who are you?" Estella asked.
The man's handsome face seemed to break.
"You don't feel it too? I am Brian Stone, your one true mate!"
Estella's heart seemed to leap. Could it be true? She thought Dexter was her mate?
But she could not deny that she felt a sort of attraction to this man. She felt…as if he could understand her pains. As if he could soothe her.
Brian continued looking at her with a hurt face. Estella felt a little awkward. She shifted uncomfortably. Because of the hurt on Brian's face, she felt compelled to add
"I don't feel the bond. My wolf is suppressed. A second time."
Just as Brian opened his mouth to reply, the door burst open and a man that looked like a doctor rushed in.
When he spoke, Estella knew he was the doctor that had spoken when she could not open her eyes.
He turned some dials on a machine beside the bed almost frantically. It was only then Brian and Estella heard the erratic beating from the machine.
"What's wrong?" The doctor continued working on the machine frantically. Then he realised that that there were other people there.
His eyes trailed to the drip plug, lying on the floor, and the blood flowing from where it was formerly connected to Estella's arms.
His eyes flashed in panic.
"Why did you remove the drip? The poison will spread faster now!" He wailed.
"Poison?" Estella asked blankly.
