Chapter 178 Emotions

Chapter 178 Emotions
Emerald’s POV-

Evander and I walked back into the conference room; Evander immediately pulled me into his arms and made me sit in the chair next to him. I knew there was no way Evander and I were going to be able to hide the fresh new mark on my neck, or the fact that our scents were mingled together.

“You two are nasty, little heathens, aren’t you?” Dante said in a sing-song voice, making me blush.

“Shuttup.” I replied, sinking down in my chair.

The room filled with laughter and then congratulations, all that did was make me more embarrassed. I’m still not used to how open everyone is about their sex lives. It’s not just this group of us; it’s every wolf I’ve met so far. They all talk freely about their mates, their sexual combabilities, how and when they were marked and mated the first time. It’s almost like a rite of passage. It’s so different than how humans view the same activities.

After everyone got their comments out in the open, Alsie asked, “Where did you two do it? Don’t tell me it was in that tiny guest bathroom?”

I smiled a little, “No. It was in the smaller storeroom with the covered couch. Can we please talk about something else?”

Alsie cracked up laughing, “Damn, that room is small and packed to the rafters with furniture. Sure, moving on to the pack merger.”

“Um, I know everyone appeared to like my ten-point plan, but how much of it is actually doable? Andrew, Benji, Jet have you guys thought about the triple Alpha proposal?” I asked, I really wanted some honest feedback on my ideas.

Benji stood up and walked to a desk in the corner of the room, he opened the small middle drawer and pulled out some papers. “Andrew, Jet.” Benji said as he handed both of them a thin packet of papers. “These are the Alpha agreements, as discussed. These documents give the three of us an equal share of the new pack that will be formed when Axinite and Far-Side merge. These papers also break down our individual roles, our compensation, and there is an exit plan. I’m thinking that after a few years, both Andrew and I will be able to resign our Alpha duties and focus solely on our Royal responsibilities. I’m hoping that at least two of the Betas will be able to take over mine and Andrew’s roles.”

I watched as Andrew and Jet read the paperwork Benji had prepared.

“There is a lot of responsibility on Jet in this outline.” Andrew acknowledged.

Benji nodded his head, “Correct, there is. That’s because no matter how I configured it, Andrew you and I cannot give up our Royal roles all the way. Once the initial installation has taken place, and the Betas are decided, Jet will have to take over more of the day-to-day duties. Plus, Andrew you and I have to take in consideration, Alsie is pregnant, that means more little ones running around here.”

“I’m good with this, Benji.” Jet agreed and signed his name on the last page of the document. Jet handed the signed sheet of paper back to Benji, Benji signed his name, then passed the sheet of paper to Andrew, Andrew did the same. Once the three of them signed the document, Andrew handed it to Alsie, and she placed it in a file folder.

“I will have this certified and stamped tomorrow.” Alsie said. “It will be filed the same time as the Luna paperwork for Emerald will be filed with the Gold Tower.”

“Can the Gold Tower stop anything we are doing?” I asked, all of sudden feeling very concerned.

Spinel looked at me, squinted his eyes, and furrowed his brow, “Are you feeling ok, My Love?”

“For the most part, yes. But, I don’t know, it feels like my emotions are all over the place, and I am really picking up vibes from all of you, way more than normal.”

“Huh, maybe it’s just because this is the first time, we’ve all been together for an extended period of time.” Reilly suggested.

I nodded my head, “Yea, that makes as much sense as anything else.”

“Have you tried blocking us out?” Kane asked.

I nodded my head, “Yes, multiple times, but for whatever reason, I can’t keep the block up. It’s like I can’t concentrate on two things at one time. I guess the best way to explain it is, I feel tired on the inside. I’m sure that description doesn’t make any sense to any of you.” I laughed.

“Interesting. I find you very interesting, Emey.” Alsie said, “Now to answer your question, no the Gold Tower can’t stop a Luna ceremony or a pack transfer. As long as all parties agree and the agreement is written fairly, the Gold Tower cannot intervene.”

“Next order of business is the High Tower.” Declan said.

“Hold on, you didn’t cross off item #3 Pack transfer finalized and registered.” I said pointing at the white board.

Declan smiled, “You’re right, I didn’t cross it off because it is not complete. The Alpha agreement is complete, but there is still a lot of ground to cover on that one. Back to the High Tower.”

My body tensed up, my hands started shaking, my breathing deepened, I started to feel completely enraged. I wanted to destroy every one of those bastards. I closed my eyes and tried to ground myself with a few breathing techniques. It didn’t work, in fact it had the opposite effect, I could feel myself becoming even more mad, more protective of the people in this room. I opened my eyes, and the entire room froze, all their eyes had landed on me. Jet, Spinel, Declan, Dante, Andrew, and Evander’s eyes kept flashing from gold, silver, back to their normal color.

That was when I noticed that Lycans eyes turned silver when their beasts were close to the surface, and the werewolves eyes turned gold.

Spinel eyes were full on purple, “My Love, we really, really, need you to get your emotions under control. The anger you are feeling is coursing through all of us who have marked you. We can feel what you’re feeling in a way we have never been able to feel it before. Please, before something outrageous happens, think happy thoughts, do something, anything, but please dial back the emotions.”

“I’m trying. I want them to bleed. They tried to take me from you, from all of you, and they had no authority to do so. They are corrupt and they need to be put down, in a slow, painful way.” I hissed.

I closed my eyes again, took three deep, cleansing, breaths, placed my forehead on the cool table, and thought of happier things, within a couple of minutes I felt my emotions become stable again. I lifted my head and opened my eyes. Everyone had relaxed and the air in the room was much lighter.

Spinel hopped out of his chair, “Everyone be QUIET!” Spinel walked to me, put his hand on my shoulder, leaned down, and gasped.

“Two heartbeats!”
