Chapter 166 You want me to write a song?
Emerald’s POV-

The four of us boarded the private jet and started overnight trip to Nebraska.

“Thank you for coming with us, Andrew.”

“Of course, Kitten.”

I sat back in my seat and let my gaze wander around the cabin of the plane. My eyes landed on Andrew, he was reading a book and making some type of notations on a pad of paper. I watched him. I watched how his lips turned down and his brow furrowed as he hurriedly scribbled something on his paper. I sat in my seat and took in every detail of Andrew. Andrew, Evander, and Osiris are identical triplets with one exception, their coloring differs. Their skin color, eye color and hair color have the same colors but in different ways. Andrew is 6’7” tall, same as his brothers, he has mocha colored skin with copper eyes that look like colored glass, his eyes are rimmed in the same color turquoise as Osiris’s primary eye color. Andrew’s hair is a sandy brown color with the same copper highlights that both Osiris and Evander have.

Evander has a dark caramel complexion with medium dark brown, wavy, hair with the same copper highlights as Osiris and Andrew. His eyes are a striking emerald-green rimmed in the same color copper as the highlights in his hair.

Osiris has a coffee-colored complexion with turquoise eyes rimmed in emerald-green. His hair is wavy, dark, midnight black with shiny, copper highlights all throughout.

If you like tall, dark, and handsome, the Sandolf triplets have plenty of it.

The triplets personalities are as different as their eye color. Osiris is a thinker and a planner. He doesn’t like surprises; he likes to plan his day in advance.

Evander is strong, he is a good man. He’s a peace maker, quiet, always thinking of others. He has a special ability that lets him read others when he is in his wolf form. I learned this within five minutes of meeting him.

Andrew is a warrior, not just any warrior but the Lead Warrior of the Royal Warriors, him and Dante share the position. Andrew leads the werewolves, Dante leads the Lycans. He’s also a sarcastic, foul-mouthed, hot-head and has some major anger issues. Some women are attracted to that. Shit, I’m attracted to that.

“You’re staring and it’s making me lose my place.”

I chuckled, got up from my seat and sat down next to Andrew, “What are you working on?”

Andrew sighed, “I’m trying to come up with a training program for the younger pups.”

“I’m going to ask a few questions, please don’t get frustrated with me.”

“Shoot.”

“Why are pups training?”

Both Jet and Andrew snickered at my question, and now Jet had changed seats and was sitting at the table, with Andrew and I.

“Pups start training for several reasons, this isn’t battle training, it’s more like self-defense. It’s to keep them safe, give them the basic skills to hunt, it teaches them basic survival skills.”

“Ok, I get it. How old are they?”

“All ages. Starting as early as four years old. Right now, I’m trying and failing to work-up a mock program for the four-to-six-year-olds. I picked up this book, and it isn’t helping.”

I grabbed the book and put it down. “Children love games, especially games with songs, it keeps them engaged longer which gives the teacher more time to teach. Think about it, we’ve all heard or even learned the clean-up song. Clean-up, clean-up, everywhere. Clean-up, clean-up everyone do your share. It’s cheesy, but effective.”

“Emerald, I love you, but how in the actual fuck and I supposed to come up with a song for pup training?”

I laughed, “I’m not suggesting you write a song and sing it. I’m suggesting you come up with something similar, a training regime that is simple, easy, and can be put to song. Use the clean-up song as reference. Strike, kick, everyone everywhere. Run, hide, all of us do our share.”

Andrew smiled, “That shit might just work. I can work with that. Damn, you’re amazing!” Andrew kissed me on the forehead and got back to making notes.

“One crisis averted.” I joked.

“Wanna talk about the Peridot Industries thing?” Jet asked, shrugging his shoulders.

I sighed, “There isn’t much we can do until Monday. We will need the full files on the Asher build. Spinel might be right; it may be some sort of programming glitch. My issue is, even if it is a glitch, they still let us pay the overages, they’ve never called, emailed, or anything to say, “hey we got a huge oopsies over here and we need to make it right.” I’m confused on why were paying for the build.”

“Huh? What do you mean? Why are you confused?” Jet asked, apparently just as confused about my confusion as I was about the build.

“She ran-away to good ‘Ol Nebraska before we made the new agreements.” Spinel chimed in.

I winced, “Oopsies.”

“Long story really short, we changed the parameters of the build-out, and the land-lease, giving Peridot more favorable options after ten years.”

“The agreement was already pretty damn favorable, nice work whoever negotiated that deal.”

“Thanks.” Spinel said, taking a mock bow while sitting in the window seat, captain’s chair. “Either way, Asher Properties was getting hosed. They need to develop that piece of land because they need the revenue the leased suites is going to give them, and we don’t. I had then over a barrel and I was really, really pissed off. I re-negotiated a few other deals in your absence, and let’s just say, a few companies I don’t particularly care for, got the short end of the pissed off stick.”

“Ok. Good to know. Something about that doesn’t surprise me. I say we go through the entire thing with a fine-tooth comb. Every progress billing, every paid invoice, everything. I already found $1.5 million in billing overages within two hours. Let's put together an iron-clad case of fraud and theft, break the original contract, sue them, and say fuck it. Someone else will lease the land, or we develop it ourselves. It’s in Seattle proper, it has mountain and water views, within walking distance of the trolley car. Keep it, sell it, whatever we do with it, it’s a gold mine.”

“Got any ideas?” Spinel asked me.

“A couple, we could turn it into affordable housing, that wouldn’t be any skin off our back money wise. The grants, tax breaks, and city funding would cover about 33% of the total costs. We could build-out a full-service shelter and treatment center. We have pack members who have advanced degrees in drug and alcohol counseling, we have more nurses and physicians assistants then we have work at the pack.”

“That’s fucking brilliant!” Andrew stated. “There’re tax breaks, government funding, a whole shitload of grants that will help with a project like that. With the zoning laws within the city, you guys would be building one of the biggest facilities in the nation, pairing with wrap-around services, sober housing, and a work program. FUCK! That’s winning on multiple levels for a bunch of people who need it.
