Chapter 884 Who Is She
Chapter 884 Who Is She
"Your Highness, what on earth is going on? We demand an explanation!"
"Yes, you're not going anywhere until you explain yourself!"
Suddenly, a crowd of people gathered around, clamoring for Ethan to explain himself.
Ashley heard the commotion and turned to Ethan with concern. "Darling, why are there so many strangers in the grounds of Grayson Mansion?"
Ethan cast a cold glance at the agitators. "Perhaps this isn't a coincidence after all."
His eyes swept the perimeter, and sure enough, he spotted a luxury car hidden in the corner.
Ethan narrowed his eyes, his gaze calculating.
The crowd surrounding the stage began throwing objects, shouting phrases like "Totti is a fraud!"
The situation escalated rapidly.
Without warning, a water bottle flew directly at Ashley!
"Darling, look out!" Ethan pulled Ashley behind him protectively.
Before Ashley could react, the bottle struck Ethan instead.
"Darling, are you alright?" she asked worriedly.
Ethan shook his head. "I'm fine, but it's dangerous here. You and the family need to get inside."
He pushed Ashley toward John and the others, calling out, "Take Ashley back to the house. I'll handle this!"
John and Mia exchanged uncertain glances.
Garrett and Doris shared a look of concern.
Atticus and Adina appeared equally worried.
Ashley refused to leave Ethan alone in this dangerous situation.
"Darling, I'm not leaving. We'll handle this together," she insisted, gripping his hand.
Ethan was touched by her concern.
"Sweetheart, please," he said gently. "Take the children inside. I can't bear the thought of any of you getting hurt. And don't worry, I'll be perfectly fine. Please go inside with your parents."
Ethan's expression was resolute.
Ashley hesitated, reluctant to leave him facing danger alone.
"They're frauds! Kill them!" someone shouted, hurling a stone at Ashley.
Ashley snapped back to reality, pulling Ethan out of harm's way.
She was even more determined not to leave him alone now.
Mia stepped forward. "Hayes, listen to Ethan. You're pregnant, and Andy and Nate are here too. You need to protect them."
At the mention of the children, Ashley looked toward Andy and Nate.
This was the first time they had witnessed such hostility. Nate's face had gone pale with fear.
Andy appeared calm on the surface, but the terror in his eyes betrayed him.
Ashley's heart ached for them.
Ethan caught Garrett's eye. "Dad, get them inside, quickly!"
Garrett nodded. "Ashley, let's go."
Ashley sheltered Andy and Nate, looking back at Ethan anxiously. "Darling, please be careful."
Ethan managed a reassuring smile. "Go on, now."
Under the protection of her family, Ashley led the children into Grayson Mansion.
Only after ensuring their safety did Ethan turn his attention elsewhere.
His gaze hardened as he focused on the troublemaker who had thrown both the bottle and the stone.
Ethan's eyes darted to the luxury car in the corner.
Suddenly, someone hurled a stone at him!
Ethan caught it mid-air, radiating an intimidating aura as he approached the attacker.
His commanding presence caused the agitators to retreat.
"Tell me who sent you," Ethan demanded coldly.
The Grayson Mansion was remote, surrounded by dairy farms. Water bottles and stones of this type weren't common here.
These projectiles suggested premeditation.
The crowd exchanged nervous glances, trembling under his intense stare.
"Won't talk? The police haven't gone far. Perhaps you'd prefer to explain yourselves in jail."
At the mention of jail, their faces drained of color, and they scattered immediately.
Ethan made no move to stop them, instead smirking coldly.
His gaze shifted to the luxury car, and he strode purposefully toward it.
Inside the car, someone spoke, "Master, he's coming this way. Should we leave?"
The person addressed as "Master" sat in the back seat, their features obscured by darkness.
"He's clever, indeed."
As Ethan approached, the mastermind sensed danger.
"Drive. Now," they commanded.
"Yes, Master."
Just as Ethan was about to reach them, the driver sped away, almost in panic.
Ethan watched the retreating vehicle, his expression hardening.
He quickened his pace to the parking area, started his car, and gave chase.
The luxury car, thinking they'd escaped, drove at a moderate speed. To their surprise, Ethan caught up quickly.
Ethan honked his horn and shouted, "Pull over now!"
His tone was commanding and authoritative.
Inside the luxury car, the driver panicked. "Master, he's caught up to us!"
The master ordered, "Lose him!"
"Yes, Master!"
The luxury car accelerated.
Ethan matched their speed, following closely.
The two vehicles raced through empty streets, taking corners so sharply that their tires sent sparks flying from the pavement.
After several rounds of this chase with neither gaining advantage, Ethan's expression darkened. He pushed his car to its limits.
His vehicle shot forward at incredible speed, overtaking the luxury car. In a dramatic maneuver, Ethan spun his car around, blocking the entire road!
The luxury car's driver's eyes widened in terror as he slammed on the brakes.
The two vehicles stopped just short of collision.
The driver, still shaken, said, "Master, he's insane! Using such extreme tactics—did he not fear a fatal crash?"
The master laughed coldly. "He would never risk that. He calculated perfectly that you would brake in time."
Meanwhile, Ethan exited his vehicle and approached the luxury car, knocking on the window. "Open up!" he shouted.
Ethan's voice was ice-cold. "I despise those who hide in the shadows, plotting their schemes. If you have any courage, face me directly!"
The luxury car door opened, and a woman stepped out.
Ethan's eyes widened in shock. "You! You dare cause trouble again?"
