Alexia
I woke up in the middle of the night feeling a heavy, different energy and the images and sounds in my dreams didn't let me sleep. I got out of bed and realized that Estevan hadn't returned yet, he was still with King Thales.
Getting dressed, I got out of bed and walked through the castle, following the sound of low music through the corridors. I stopped in front of a room where the music was coming from, guards around, there was nothing.
I looked through the doorknob and saw King Thales in a bathtub, bathing in blood, strange music playing in the background, the goblet in his hand, the symbols on his body all made with blood.
"What are you doing?"
I turned abruptly when I heard the man's voice and turned to him, my heart racing with shock, I didn't know what to say, I crossed my arms over my chest.
"I think I've lost my way"
He looked me up and down.
"You're not from around here, are you?"
"How do you know?"
"Your skin is too white," he said calmly. "Or your accent, Torrem?"
I shook my head, nodding. The man had traveled a lot, but he didn't look old, on the contrary, he looked about my age.
"What were you looking at?"
He approached me, making me nervous, then bent down to look at the door handle.
"Do you like snooping around empty rooms?"
"No, it was the music, I don't know why I looked..." I said nervously.
"What music?" He frowned and then turned the handle, opening the door and slipping into nothingness, there was nothing in the room "This is a guest room that's been unoccupied for months".
He closed it again.
"I thought I saw something..."
"What did you see?" He frowned, his skin dark, his brown hair curly and his jaw square.
"I don't know..."
He smiled, his smile was beautiful.
"Witches"
"How?"
"Witches, sometimes they mess with your mind and here in Letrons there are many witches' covens."
I nodded.
"I've seen strange things, blood, symbols..."
"Black magic, it's forbidden"
I nodded, how could I say that I had seen this from the king?
"I don't think it's good to stay here at dawn," I said, starting to walk.
"I'll walk you to your room"
"I don't think it's good to be seen at dawn with a man in the corridors"
"It's not nice to walk alone at dawn in this castle, besides I'm Prince Noah and no one will make any comments"
I looked at him.
"Your mother, Queen Naomi, told me you were in town"
"Yes, I've just arrived, I was on my way to my room when I saw you."
I nodded.
"How well do you know witches?"
"Some do"
"I've seen things sometimes and also heard them, they want to show me something"
"So you have a connection with them"
I looked at him.
"Connection?"
"Yes, your spirituality is so strong that you connect with them easily. That doesn't happen to just anyone. Do you know your family tree?"
I bit my lip, holding back a laugh; I barely knew my mother, my father was even more distant.
"My family wasn't important, I don't know those who came before me"
"But I should" We stopped in front of my door, he looked into the room and his countenance became strange "This is Prince Estevan's room".
He looked me in the eye.
"You're the lady of fire"
I had to stop myself from grimacing, I was so tired of hearing that term.
"Alexia, your story is incredible" He kissed my hand goodbye "It's a shame you're already married"
He walked off calmly down the corridor, I watched as he walked away wondering what had happened.
Even though things were calm, the alliance with Letrons was delicate, but the next morning we said goodbye and before we stopped in an open field I saw a huge mansion, Estevan held out his hand.
"We're back, Silver," I said, stopping my stroking and taking Estevan's hand, I headed towards the big house in front of us.
I still didn't know why Estevan had taken me there, I hadn't slept properly so I was still drowsy, a little stop halfway before we got back since we were returning early didn't seem to do any harm.
I tossed back my flyaway hair, it felt good to trace it, it was better than putting it up in formal buns as no bun seemed to be able to hold back my long unruly hair, the fringe that fell over my face, the clear day loved the cool weather, we were higher up, but higher up, so it wasn't so stuffy, even though the temperature was still the same, there was an insistent wind that whipped across my face and blew my skirt away, leaving my legs a little exposed. That outfit seemed so uncomfortable at first, but overnight I liked it, especially saying goodbye to the tight corsets.
"Do you know what this place is or why I brought you here?" Estevan asked as we walked.
"I have no idea."
"And you're not curious?"
"I am, but I trust you"
My words drew a smile from him. As we stepped out onto the balcony, we were greeted at the door by a butler.
"Prince Estevan" The butler bowed.
"This is Alexia, my wife and future queen of Olimper. Tell everyone we've arrived," he said and the butler nodded and left.
I stopped at the entrance, the house was huge. The stairs were long. The carpet wasn't turquoise like in the castle, it was gold. The whole house had its own personality that was in no way reminiscent of Olimper.
"Come," said Estevan, stopping on the stairs, "I want you to meet someone very important."
I nodded and continued walking, looking around.
"This is a house of rest" Estevan began to say "It's far away from everything, especially the kingdom, and it was built for a purpose"
I heard shouts from the corridor and a man came out of the door with his eyes wide, but shouts came from the bedroom and Estevan let go of my hand and walked at a fast pace towards the bedroom.
A conversation started in which Estevan talked about the screams of a man in the background, I arrived at the door startled and looked at the man with disheveled hair and honey-colored eyes, golden and curly hair who was looking at Estevan angrily.
"You won't catch me, you won't!"
"Calm down Thomas, it's me Estevan" said Estevan, he took a step forward and the man moved away abruptly, he looked scared.
"You'll never kill me, never!" He threw his hand forward, making a strange sound, then ruffled his hair and laughed.
I felt sad seeing him like that and immediately connected the name to past memories, Estevan had already told me about a Thomas from whom he had been excluded from the royal lineage.
Thomas was Estevan's brother.
