Chapter 111 Best friends

Chapter 111 Best friends
Aloria
The sun filters through the trees, casting a warm glow on the forest floor as I stroll along the edge of our territory. The gentle breeze rustles the leaves above, and the sweet scent of blooming wildflowers fills the air. I can hear the distant sounds of laughter and celebration from the pack, but for now, I relish this moment of tranquility, soaking in the beauty of the day.

It is so nice that I can now walk her without fearing for my safety… I am not naive, I know there are still dangers in the world… there are rogues and werebears and people who are simply evil… but there is no one who has their eyes aimed at me, and it feels so glorious to just be able to enjoy a walk.

My hand slides down to rest on the small bump in my belly. I am so exited to become a mother, to see River as a father. And I am so happy for both his and the rest of the pack's reaction, I know our little pup will be loved and spoiled in the best of ways.

As I meander along, I spot a familiar figure emerging from the trees, and my heart leaps with joy. It’s Daphne. She’s become such an integral part of our lives lately, and seeing her brightens my day. It is like She is fully a member of the pack now, and everyone is threating her with kvindens and respect.

“Daphne!” I call out, waving enthusiastically. She grins widely, her eyes sparkling as she approaches.

“It’s so good to see you, Aloria,” she replies, her voice warm and welcoming. There’s a lightness in her step that tells me she’s looking forward to her time with the pack… or maybe with a certain member.

“I’m glad you’re spending more time with us,” I say, taking a moment to appreciate her presence. “You belong here with all of us and not alone out there in the forest. It’s nice to see you so happy.”

Daphne’s smile falters for just a moment, then she nods, her expression thoughtful. “There’s so much to do around here, and I enjoy helping… especially with the kids, and it’s nice not to be alone anymore. The pack has really embraced me, and it feels… right.”

I can’t help but tease her a little. “Is it just the pack, or could it have something to do with a certain beta?” I raise an eyebrow, a playful grin on my lips.

Her cheeks flush a rosy pink, making her look absolutely adorable, and I can’t contain my laughter. “Maybe,” she admits, her voice barely above a whisper. There’s a twinkle in her eye that speaks volumes, and I can’t help but feel a surge of happiness for her… for both of them.

“I’m so happy for you and Kellan,” I say, my heart swelling with joy. “He’s an amazing guy, and you two are perfect for each other.”

Daphne’s smile widens, her cheeks flushing even more. “Yeah, isn’t he?” she replies, her voice filled with warmth. There’s been an undeniable spark growing between them, and it makes my heart flutter to see her so content.

As we continue walking, she glances down at my stomach, her curiosity evident. “Can I… can I touch it?” she asks hesitantly, her fingers twitching with excitement.

“Of course!” I reply, a smile spreading across my face. I can’t help but feel proud as I place my hand over my belly, inviting her to join.

Daphne gently places her hand on my stomach, her touch light and reverent. “Wow,” she breathes, her eyes widening with wonder. “There’s a strong and spirited pup inside here. I can feel it… He or she will keep you on your toes, but also give you so much happiness and pride. ”

I chuckle, feeling a rush of warmth at her words, I have absolutely no doubt She is right, not when River is the father. “I hope they take after their father,” I say playfully, thinking of River’s strength and determination.

Daphne laughs, a melodic sound that fills the air with joy. “Oh, I think they’ll be a perfect blend of both of you. Just imagine how adventurous they’ll be with a father like River and a mother like you… and unstoppable force.”

The thought sends a thrill through me. I can already envision our little one exploring the world around them, discovering the beauty of our territory and the love of our pack. “I can’t wait to show them everything,” I say, my heart swelling with anticipation.

As we walk together, I feel a sense of camaraderie with Daphne. We share our dreams and hopes for the future, our laughter ringing out like music through the trees. It’s moments like these that remind me of the strength of our bonds, not just with River and the pack, but with each other as friends.

The sun climbs higher, painting the sky with hues of gold and blue, and I know that this day is meant for celebration. With Daphne by my side, I feel empowered, ready to embrace the adventures that lie ahead.

“Thank you for being such a wonderful friend, Daphne,” I say sincerely, my heart full. “I’m grateful to have you in my life.”

She beams at me, her joy infectious. “And I’m grateful for you, Aloria. I can’t wait to see you become a mother… and who knows, maybe you will be one soon too.”

“Neither can I,” I reply, a soft smile playing on my lips. Together, we walk back toward the heart of the pack, where laughter and joy await us. The future is bright, and I can’t wait to share it with those I love.
