Chapter 69: Unspoken Thoughts
Chapter 69: Unspoken Thoughts
2 Months Later...
Joella
"Haden, you are going to make me fall."
"I am not, trust me."
I clung tightly to Haden's arm as he carefully guided me toward his planned surprise. We had driven for quite some time, clearly leaving the city behind.
Curiosity bubbled inside me as the car finally came to a stop. Haden loosened the blindfold with gentle fingers, allowing it to slide smoothly down my face. As my vision adjusted, I froze in awe at the sight that greeted me.
Oh. My. God.
The house, no, mansion, that stood grandly before me stole my breath completely. We stood upon an expansive stretch of land, lush and vast. I turned my head and realized we had entered through towering gates that must have been at least fifteen feet high. Beside the gate was a security tower still under construction, hinting at the immense scale of what lay ahead.
The landscaping was partially complete, but the vision behind it was clear and captivating. The mansion itself was finished and radiated grandeur.
"Welcome home," Haden murmured softly in my ear.
"Haden, this is…" My words trailed away, caught somewhere between awe and disbelief.
Haden smirked, clearly enjoying my astonishment, and gently turned me toward an unfinished fountain area. "The three entryways you see here will all converge at the fountain."
He turned me again, this time gesturing toward a cluster of trees nearby. "Most of the trees have been cleared, except these. The project should be completed by the end of the month."
"I like the trees," I responded softly, still overwhelmed.
"You'll like what I'm building here even more," he replied, the playful smirk deepening.
At that moment, one of Haden’s men drove up in a golf cart, promptly stepping out to hand Haden the keys.
"Get in, Tesoro," Haden instructed warmly.
I climbed into the golf cart, and Haden began driving around the sprawling estate. My jaw dropped further as we explored the property. Behind the mansion was an expansive in-ground swimming pool paired with a jacuzzi designed to resemble a hidden cave. Though not yet fully complete, its future elegance was unmistakably evident. Nearby stood a pool house so large it could easily pass for a separate family home.
Continuing onward, we came across the beginnings of a full basketball court and tennis court. Beside these was a wide, untouched grassy area that Haden explained would remain open for football and soccer. He mentioned he was still undecided about constructing a baseball field.
As we circled around to the other side of the house, my eyes caught sight of the start of a beautiful vegetable garden. Beyond that, far across the property, I noticed what appeared to be a large barn and stable under construction. Uncertain, I turned to Haden for clarification.
"You said you wanted horses," he answered simply.
I stared at him, completely astonished.
"What?" Haden asked, enjoying my shocked expression.
"Haden, this is… I… I'm lost for words," I finally managed, overwhelmed by the enormity of his thoughtful gesture.
"Then I guess I did good," he chuckled softly, clearly pleased with my reaction. "Come on, let’s go see the inside."
"Haden, you outdid yourself." The house was truly magnificent, boasting expansive rooms with soaring ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows. The shades were conveniently controlled by a simple switch. The impressive home featured eleven spacious bedrooms, each with its own en suite bathroom, along with four elegantly appointed powder rooms.
The kitchen was enormous, outfitted with professional, restaurant-style appliances designed to accommodate any culinary adventure. The sheer number of rooms was overwhelming, leaving me uncertain about how we could possibly utilize them all.
"This is a lot of house," I remarked softly as we strolled back into the grand foyer.
Haden's arms wrapped securely around my waist as he pressed a gentle kiss to my cheek.
"Our family is growing, it's perfect," he whispered, his lips trailing lightly down to my neck.
"It's four of us," I responded softly, my eyes fluttering shut as he began to tenderly suckle at the sensitive skin.
"Soon to be ten," he murmured, punctuating his words with a gentle bite that sent a surge of pleasure coursing through me.
I giggled lightly, gently pushing him away. "You're still on that, huh?"
"Baby, I want a large family. I'm making sure we have the space to do that."
"Well, we definitely have the space," I acknowledged with amusement.
"I have one more thing to show you," he said eagerly, grasping my hand and leading me toward what appeared to be a solid wall.
I looked at him in confusion, but his smile reassured me as he reached over and opened a discreet box situated on the side of the wall. With a simple press of a button, the wall seamlessly opened, revealing a remarkable surprise.
"There's an elevator?!" I squealed in delight.
Haden laughed warmly, clearly enjoying my astonishment. "For when we get old and can't manage the stairs as well, or for those times when we're feeling particularly lazy. There are three elevators throughout the house."
"Haden, I honestly can't believe this is going to be our home."
"Well, believe it, baby, you deserve it."

"Did Ella like the compound?" My dad said as he dropped a stack of papers on my desk.
"I think she's still in shock."
"I'm in shock, that's a lot of land. But it's a smart idea."
I nodded.
"It's guarded, heavily secure, and has everything my kids will ever want or need. I even have space to add more if something comes along that I didn't think of."
"Yeah I saw that. You really want eight kids, huh?"
I nodded as my mind drifted to what it would be like with eight copies of Ella and me running around. Would they all have hazel eyes, or would some have mine or Ella's?
"And how does Ella feel about that?"
"She's warming up. Right now she's saying four max." And I'm ready to start making them again.
I smirked as I kept that thought to myself, but as I looked back at my dad, he gave me a look as if he already knew where my head was going.
"Best of luck to you two, after you, I was done," Dad said with a chuckle.
"You could've given me a brother." I used to beg my parents for a sibling, but they were true to their word; they only wanted one.
"What and miss the chance of having a spoiled, entitled little fucker who didn't know how to take the word no?"
I glared at my dad, causing him to belt out a laugh.
"I still love the little fucker so stop glaring." He said with a grin.
I rolled my eyes and shook my head as a grin came to my mouth. I couldn't deny what he said, but still. My attention was pulled to my phone when I saw a message from Ella.
I opened it to find a picture of our beautiful boys sound asleep.
My Love ❤️- Diapers changed and bellies full ❤️😍🥰
I couldn't help but smile at the photo.
Me- Ready for more?
My love ❤️- Depends on how fast you can get here 😏
Immediately, I stood up.
"Hey, Dad, I'll be back okay."
I said as I rushed out the door before he could respond. I did hear him chuckle behind me as the elevator doors closed.
Me- I'm on my way.

Tony
"Little bit!" I called out for Ella as I walked through the door.
The penthouse was filled with boxes everywhere. You could tell they were preparing to move.
"Yes?" Ella spoke softly as she walked down the stairs in simple cotton gray shorts and a white cropped t-shirt.
She wasn't wearing a bra, and I quickly averted my gaze to the floor as she stopped in front of me.
"Did you need something?" She asked, crossing her arms.
I released a breath and looked at her face.
"Yeah... here," I said, holding out a bag and looking up at the ceiling as if something was interesting up there.
She tilted her head, looking at me strangely before grabbing the bag.
"Why are you being weird?" She asked, still analyzing me.
"Um, well... how do I say this?" I mumbled.
"Well... umm... are you cold?" I asked quickly, looking all around the house.
"A little, I guess." She said, still staring at me, confusion clear on her face.
"Why the weird quest- Oh! These are so cute!" She squealed as she pulled out two pairs of black and red sneakers for the twins.
"Aww, thanks, Tony!" She said as she opened her arms and came in for a hug.
On instinct, I quickly moved out of her way, and she frowned.
"What is going on with you?"
Before I could answer, the door opened and Haden walked in. He nodded at me before his gaze turned to Ella, his eyes roamed over her, before he pulled her to him and placed a kiss on her lips. She smiled up at him before lifting the shoes.
"Look what Tony bought the boys!" Haden smiled before looking at me.
"Thanks, man." He said.
He looked at Ella, then back at me. A knowing look appeared on his face.
"Why do you seem flustered?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
"You noticed too!" Ella said, and I audibly groaned.
"It's nothing, I'm heading out," I said as I made my way to the door.
"Hold on!" Haden said as he followed me out the door. "How long did you stare?" He asked with a grin.
"You know I didn't." There was no use in lying. I knew what he was talking about, and if I denied it, he wouldn't trust me anymore around Ella.
"I know because my baby is oblivious and confused about why you won't look at her. You're a good man, Tony." Haden said, patting my shoulder.
"You're also one of her favorite people, and I would've hated having to kill you." He said with a playful grin, but I knew Haden and knew he was serious.
Everyone knew Ella was beautiful, and somehow, after having twins, she was even more beautiful. Her breasts were a little fuller, her hips a little wider. She would joke about going on a diet, but she didn't need to. Her body was what most men dreamed of, and women would die for.
Watching her with her boys was something different. She made it look easy, even when you knew she was exhausted from getting up and feeding her boys every two hours. But she was in her element, and you could tell she wouldn't trade it for the world.
Our relationship had grown over time. Ella was the sweetest, kindest, funniest woman I knew. She didn't take herself too seriously and gave a lot of grace. She always saw the good in people. She was also an amazing cook, even though, as of late, Haden had a chef cooking. But when she did cook, all the guys couldn't wait to eat it. She had a silent strength to her. It wasn't loud or boastful, but you could feel it.
I understood Haden. I appreciated the fact that he knew he was a lucky man. That he knew Ella was too pure for our world, yet he couldn't let her go. I understood, because even though I'm just her bodyguard and now her friend, I couldn't let her go either.
