A girl with purple-red hair ran through a field of flowers. Her eyes shine as bright as emeralds. Her soft pink lips, smooth as feathers. Her energetic attitude puts a smile on everyone's face around her. Her father sits on the other side of the field. Her mother smiles at her. "Isabella! Come on dear! We must be getting home, dusk is upon us!" The small girl's mother calls to her. Isabella runs over to her two parents gathered at the edge of the field. She laughs as her father picks her up, and set's her down on his strong shoulders. Her arms bend down, and her soft hands wrap on the base of her fathers chin. The small family laughs with happiness as they return safely to their warm home. A silver haired tabby cat greets them as they enter the door. The caring mother bends down and softly pet's the house pet. Isabella's father picks her up and carries her like a model airplane to the couch. "VROOM!!!!!" Her father happily jokes as Isabella laughs. Her laugh was like music to anyone who listened to it. The seven year old girl sat on the couch, only peeking her eyes over to catch glances of her happy parents, gathered in the kitchen. Even though she was only seven, she was small for her age, but her personality ranged from years older. The flowers that she had gathered earlier were waiting in a small basket her mother had placed near the fireplace. Isabella laughed and playfully bounced off the couch to grab the basket in her small hand. She bounced upstairs and closed the bathroom door. Her hair was in a messy side braid. She had picked beautifully small white flowers that were all coated in stems and leaves. Isabella had gathered the flowers for the supper table, so she set half of them aside and came up with a genius idea of what to do with the rest of them. She twined each of the flowers together, stem by stem, and together the flowers formed a long rope of beauty. Isabella smiled at her achievement, and started stringing the flowers through her soft hair. Her mother yelled to her from downstairs. "Isabella! Supper, sweetie!" Her father smiled when Isabella entered the room. "Well, if it my beautiful belladonna flower?" Isabella's father smiled at her. Isabella boasted proudly in his praise. "I made it myself, out of belladonna flowers." She smiled. "Well I might just have to start calling you Bella." Her father observed. Isabella thought about it for a long minute. "That's a pretty name." She observed. "Then it's settled. Isabella, you shall now be known as Bella, in honor of your belladonna flowers." Her father praised her. Bella, enjoying her new nickname, smiled and settled herself down onto the dinner table. Her mother stroked her hair. "My sweet darling, you get yourself into crazy adventures that I can no longer imagine, enjoy it." Her mother advised her. Bella smiled at her happy family, gathered around her. Her mother set a plate in front of her and gave her a light kiss on her forehead. Bella was starving and she enjoyed her warm meal with glee. Her mother and father held hands, while sitting next to each other. Today was a good day. Bella thought to herself. She scrapped her plate off in the trash from any scraps that might linger. She went over to the sink and rinsed her plate where she then set it on a towel for her mother to wash later. Her father went around the house with matches, lighting up lanterns that stood, hanging on the walls. He came back into the family room later where he lit the fireplace. The family sat on the couch where Bella played with a small doll, her mother knitted clothes, and her father read a book about welding. Dark soon approached them, and Bella did not realize how late it had become. Her mouth stretched open in a long yawn that soon ended with her stretching her arms above her tired head. Her mother looked outside at the shining moon. Her mother and father both looked at each other with the same look in their eyes. "Come on sweetie, it's time for bed." Her father said, picking her up in his arms and her mother carried her doll not far behind. The wooden beams of the house creaked as the family strode upstairs. Thunder shook the house for a small second. Bella screamed and covered her eyes. Her father tightened his grip on her and opened the door to her room. He strode over to Bella's bed and set her down. "Isabella, un-cover your eyes, the thunder is gone." Her father soothingly spoke to her. Bella un-covered her eyes and set her shaking hands in her lap. "I'm scared." She said. "Why?" Her mother asked her sweetly. "I don't like the sounds!" Bella said. "Thunder will cause no harm to you. As long as you stay in your bed tonight you will be safe and sound." Her mother told her gently. Her mother went over to her wardrobe and pulled out Bella's pajamas. She went over to her sweet daughter. "It's time for bed. Put your nighttime clothes on, you will need your rest if you wish to brush the horses tomorrow." Bella smiled at the thought, and ran to her bathroom. Their house was a normal sized one with 2 bedrooms, three bathrooms, a office, a kitchen, and a nice living room. Her father was the towns welder, so he got paid good money for his work. His mother sold clothes to those who needed them, which provided Bella with extra clothes. She came out of the bathroom a short while later, wearing pajamas that fit her perfectly. "There's my sweet little girl." Her dad laughed and picked her up, running around the room and falling down on her bed. Bella bounced as she landed, a laugh escaping her sweet mouth. Her mother smiled and walked over to the bed where she tucked Bella into the bed sheets. She smiled. "Goodnight, Isabella." Her mother smiled. She kissed her soft head, and brushed her hand over her cheek before following her husband to the door frame. "Goodnight sweetie, see you in the morning." Her father said, blowing out the candle by the door and shutting the door, making the room go blue-dark. Her window let in moonlight which shone brightly through the storm clouds that moved in over the big town. The girl smiled and fell into a dreamless slumber. ~~~ Bella was being shook awake by a familiar voice, her father. "Bella! Come, the village is ablaze!" Her father yelled picking Bella up in his arms, and grabbing her doll. Bella's eyes were heavy with sleep when she smelt smoke fly through the air. Her mother was already waiting downstairs in her nighttime attire. Her mother had a worried expression on her face, which faded right as Bella entered the room, although Bella caught a small sight of it. Her mother grabbed Bella from her father's grasp. And the family ran outside of their house. The village was burning. Bella's eyes watered as the smoke reached her face. Her father and mother exchanged glances before running to the gates of the village, hoping to escape the flames. By the time they arrived at the gates the fire had spread further through the village. The gates were shut and villagers were surrounding the guards who blocked their exit. Bella's family joined the crowd trying to escape like the rest of the town's folk. "REMAIN CALM! PASS THE CHILDREN FORWARD! THE CHILDREN MUST EVACUATE FIRST!" The guards yelled at the villagers. Her mother and father exchanged worried glances, but they knew what they had to do. "Okay, sweetie. Me and your mother will be right behind, but you must leave. I promise that we'll find you after we evacuate." Her father promised her. Bella was confused. "MOMMY! DADDY! You CAN'T leave me!" She pleaded. Her mother had tears in her eyes. Bella couldn't tell if it was from smoke or emotions but she hid them well. "Bella you must! Me and your father will meet you with the other villagers later, I promise. Just Go!" Her mother shouted. "We love you." Her mother and father spoke at the same time. Bella took a tight hold on her doll as her mother and father pressed her forward to the guard waiting at the gates. The guard looked at her, nodded and moved her over to the guard who were opening the gates for the children to evacuate. The gates creaked as the guards pushed themselves to keep the villagers in the town while the children got a chance to run. Some guards accompanied the children as they were taken away from their homes, and parents. Bella looked back one more time to watch as the flames lit up the village and the gates were set ablaze. She screamed and tried running back but one of the guards caught her and dragged her to where the children were being sent away from everything they had known. ~~~ 1 Week Later- Bella had been sent to Meteli to endure a family to take over her care. She hadn't said a word since. She had vowed when she was old enough that she would take the lives of the people who set her village ablaze. Guards had discovered the fire was not an accident and that someone was to be held responsible, but no one knew who. She now belonged to a family of 3 siblings and 2 parents. The three siblings were all boys, and the parents barley paid any attention to her. Bella, even though young, vowed that when she was only 10, she would bolt, and make her own life, away from reality. Because any longer than that, and she would die.
