CHAPTER 72

At the reception the head table was set for six,Sofia and her parents and Rafael and his parents.The bride's family was on the left side and the groom on the right this families have grown bigger Abby thought as she looked around her good thing the reception is being held here Abby doubts they would've find a venue that can accommodate so many people.Not only was Abby enjoying herself she loved every part of this wedding,did Andrea and Arturo get married in the same way she'll ask them a bit later on for now everyone close to the bride and groom were saying short speeches,wishing them well and a beautiful prosperous life.Dinner was served and Abby relished her whole food when Alejandro had softly told her he would relish every inch of her in the same way later on tonight her whole body had grew hot at hearing his words her loins contracted for what's to come.Damn this man for knowing how to turn her on and have her desperately waiting for his touch and whatever else he can do to every part of her.Sofia and Rafael went table to table to hand out thank you gifts and wedding favours for attending the wedding and everyone to remember this beautiful day by,the guests did the same giving them thank you gifts for inviting them.Abby felt bad for not personally giving them a gift.

Even though Alejandro had given them a gift on both their behalfs.The rest of the night went well,Rafael's brother asked if there was anyone who'd like to open the dance floor the bride and groom.Abby's heart rate accelerate when she saw Alejandro standing up and holding out his hand to her,she can hear the guests clapping hands.Nervously she placed her hand in his."What are you doing?"She asked under her breath not moving an inch away from her chair.

"I promise Sofia we'd open the dance floor for them."His arm slid across her waist.

"Without telling me first."

"I thought I'd surprise you."He said leading her out on the floor.

"What a surprise indeed."She hissed."With these high heels I'm gonna embarrass us both by stepping on your feet."

"What faith you have sweetheart."He drew her close."Ready?"

"Like never before."He smiled at her,Abby thought they would be waltzing but no,her husband was twirling and spinning her around as they did the tango this was the last thing she expected,she was surprised at how easily they moved as one and how she's following his lead but they were good together in everything when they come together their bodies move as one.Despite wearing heels she didn't step on his feet this particular dance was intimate she remembers Alejandro had taught her in the early stages of them dating and she was now thankful.Ten minutes later the music stopped and they lost themselves in each others eyes the guests and the world around them stopped only this moment matter,her hand reached up to touch his face,he covered her hand with his own and kissed it softly tiny butterflies flutter low in her belly.Gosh how can I love you so much she wondered.Why you..?

"I didn't know you can dance like that mommy."Abby heard their daughter said,quickly she gazed around her and saw other couples were on the dance floor.

"I didn't know either."Abby said looking down at her.

"Can I dance with daddy too."

"You don't even have to ask."She kissed her cheeks and walked back over to their table.

"You and Alejandro owned that dance floor."Andrea said when she was seated.

"I didn't even know my brother could dance."Arturo added."Yet again whenever he's with you,he's a different man."

"Is he?I didn't know.I've been meaning to ask you,did you two also have a traditional Spanish wedding."

"Yes,we had two."Andrea said."One here and the other in San Francisco."

"It's so beautiful."Abby said."I guess Alejandro and I should also get married here."

"I'm surprised mother hasn't began with the wedding arrangements but she will soon Sofia's wedding is done now it's your turn."Arturo said."Especially since no one was present when you got married."

"I loved every second of Sofia's wedding today almost as if I was the one getting married.I want to experience and do all these customs and traditions with Alejandro."On cue he and Ally came back."How was your dance with daddy?"

"It was fun,although daddy said I'm still young to dance the way you did."

Abby smiled lovingly at her daughter."Don't worry as soon as you big enough daddy will teach you."

"Daddy said so too.I'm going over to Camilla and Emily."

"Okay sweetie.Behave."

"I will.Can I sleep over at Emily's tonight,Camilla will too.Please mommy. Daddy."She gazed back and forth between her parents.

"I don't have a problem sweetie,ask your daddy too."

"You know I can't say no to you princess."He kissed her temple."Have fun." Ally dashed off excitement visible on her face.

"We were just discussing you and Abigail's up coming wedding."Arturo told his brother.

"Abby is really eager for your wedding."Andrea said."Have you discussed it yet."

Alejandro glanced at her for a second he almost looked annoyed."No we haven't.I have a lot going on at the moment I doubt it would be the right time for us to have a wedding."

"Keep telling yourself that."Arturo said."But you know mother won't have any of that,none of us was present when you got married.You know she won't let it slide after this she'll start with the arrangements whether you gonna have time or not."Abby was so engross in her own thoughts about why Alejandro was looking for reasons as to why they shouldn't get married,that she didn't even notice the beautiful black haired beauty next to Alejandro until she spoke.

"Good evening everyone."Abby's gaze ran over her,dark eyebrows and lashes long silky black hair that enhances her dark skin tone,she was tall and slim and had a gorgeous figure and body,the red dress she had on lovingly hugged her waistline showing of her generous curves,who was this woman she wondered."I hope I'm not intruding."

"Catalina."Alejandro said and stood up to give her a kiss on the cheek,Abby felt jealousy course through every cell in her body she almost got up and slap the woman."Welcome."

"It's been a while Catalina."Arturo said."How are you."

"I'm good."She sat down on the chair Alejandro had pulled out for her Abby was on the verge of exploding did she have to sit next to him too."Congrats on the baby Andrea,you too Arturo."She knows Andrea Abby will ask her later about Catalina and who she is."I have to congratulate you too Alejandro."She smiled broadly at him before her gaze landed on Abby."She's beautiful." Catalina said."I can see why you never gave me a second glance or thought."

Abby's mind stood still at hearing those words,she looked at Alejandro and waited for him to say something but he didn't."What is she talking about?"She asked him when she could find her voice.

"Catalina is the woman my father wanted me to marry."He said,stunning her. This was her Abby thought,she was so beautiful and gorgeous,he had rejected this beauty only to marry her someone plain and ordinary who doesn't even match up to this woman and her insanely good looking features.They would've made a beautiful couple if he had chosen her Abby thought,that idea brought on excruciating pain their children would've been beautiful too.Stop Abby.She told herself he married you,he's here with you and that's all that matters.He chose you not her.Did he sleep with her?Catalina was a sexy woman with plenty of sensuality she can get any man she wanted,has Alejandro slept with her too,please god I hope he hasn't.

"I also met your daughter."Abby heard her say in the back of her head."She's adorable and very smart for a five year old.She could've been our child if only things had worked out differently."

Abby abruptly stood up she won't sit here and listen to this woman and hear all her regrets and what ifs she won't be able to stand it.She has nothing against Catalina but her first few words are enough to upset her and Abby doesn't trust herself not to attack her infront of all the guests,before she was gonna ruin Sofia's beautiful night it would be best if she left."Excuse me."She muttered and stalked off.She walked away from all the noise she'd barely gotten a few feet when she felt his hand close around her wrist,she stopped but didn't turn.

"Abigail.."

"Don't even try to defend or excuse what Catalina has just said.Don't you dare." She warned.

"I wasn't going to.Look at me."He demanded.

"What happened to chivalry?"He gently turned her to face him.

"There's no need to be jealous of her."He said cupping her face,Abby looked anywhere except at him she doesn't want him to see how strongly Catalina's words had affected her.Did they share a personal relationship is that why Catalina said what she did.Is she in love with Alejandro.

"I'm not jealous."She lied.

"Look at me when you talk to me...please."He softly added."I never slept with her."He said when she met his dark brown eyes."Beautiful as she might be I never touched her."

"I didn't ask if you did."

"You don't have to every question is written all over your face."She tried to move away but he only held on tighter."She likes me-..."

"More like love."Abby snorted cutting over him.

"She likes me."He continued."I don't,I never looked at her in that kind of manner even when we were young she didn't hide the fact that she likes me."

"It was her idea for us to get married she knew how badly my father wanted to do business with her father so she made that ridiculous proposal to my father about binding the families."

"And the only way that would happen is if you two get married."

"Exactly."He said."Don't let her innocent look fool you sweetheart she's very cunning and manipulative."
