CHAPTER 70

She couldn't have said it better he thought gazing at her,she knows him better than anyone ever could but he won't give her that power to hurt him again,leave him half a man. Turning he got out of the water she followed,silently they got dressed after she stood before him."I won't leave you again,I'm here to stay I made a mistake in letting you go six years ago I won't make that mistake a second time."

"Don't give yourself false hope Abigail,only one of us will come out hurt and that won't be me.Let's go."He walked ahead of her.

"I spoke to Blake."Her words made him stop in his tracks he turned to face her the disapproving glare spoke volumes.

"I thought I made it clear when I said stay away from him."He ground out.

"He came to see me at the cafe and I have been keeping a distance from him anyway that doesn't matter-...."

"It doesn't matter."His lips tighten in an angry line."Does my opinion mean that little to you."

"You know that's not what I meant if you can keep quiet for a second then you'll know why he came to see me."Crossing his arms he glared at her. "Things aren't going so good for him."

"And for that he came to see you."He clipped."Can't he afford a shrink."

"His company is having trouble and he thinks you responsible for it."Abby continued ignoring his remark."So I told him I'd talk to you and find out if it's true."He chuckled Abby wonder what could be so funny."This isn't funny Alejandro he's desperate and-...."

"Damn right he is."He cut over her."For him to send my own wife to talk to me on his behalf,what kind of a man is he."

"Please tell me you have nothing to do with whatever is happening to him."

"He's getting what he deserves it will teach him next time not to go around and kiss another man's wife."

"Alejandro you promised you wouldn't do anything unto him."

"No my dearest wife I promised I wouldn't touch one hair on his head and I haven't,I kept my word."

"His business is suffering badly so much so that he'll close and file for bankruptcy,Alejandro he has people that work for him and they have families to feed don't you care at all are you really so cruel as to see thousands of people jobless only to get back at Blake for kissing me.I know the man I love would never do such a thing."

They stared at each other for a while."The man you love doesn't exist anymore."He stalked off leaving her behind,she followed a few minutes later. He didn't talk to her for the rest of the night only making light conversation to fool everyone,she's met the rest of the Alvarez and Perez family both families were staying together on this land Abby thought that was nice.Vicente's parents are still alive Ally has two great grandparents that adores her,Abby also got to meet Alejandro's uncles and aunts and cousins from both sides everyone was so loving and welcomed her with open arms they made her feel at home and not like an outsider.She had fun and enjoyed herself despite the fact that Alejandro was distant and shutting himself down away from her,the laughter and atmosphere was too good for her to be sad.It was midnight by the time she went to bed her gorgeous husband had disappeared she wonder where he was it's been close to three hours.

She checked on Ally first her daughter was sleeping she'd been all too happy to share a room with her cousin Camilla she's even forgotten her own parents the way she'd had too much fun,kissing her Abby left and went to their room it was empty she realise after looking around for Alejandro.Where are you?She thought going into the bathroom and switching on the shower stripping herself naked she stepped inside and welcome the hot water on her skin.Should she have kept quiet and left everything for another day,no Abby don't second guess yourself. 'The man you love doesn't exist anymore..'His words were stuck in her head was it true,is he right was she only fooling herself trying to hold onto something that wasn't there.'I can't love you Abigail....don't mistake this sexual desire as something more because it isn't...this is all we'll ever have..?'Roughly she switched off the shower and climbed out,she won't allow doubts to creep in Alejandro was only trying to push her away because he knows she loves him.

Wrapping the towel around her she went back into the bedroom the door opened just as she walked in her eyes met Alejandro's.

"I thought you're asleep."He said closing the door.

"Why?So you could avoid me."

"Don't start please it's late.I'm done discussing Riley."She stood and watch as he began to undress,telling him she had hired Blake will only create more tension between them she'll wait until they get home.She walked over to the closet and took out her night dress Alejandro came and snatched it away from her.

She looked at him,he was completely naked."Wh-what are you doing?Give it back I'd like to get dressed and go to bed."

"You know I like you sleeping naked next to me."His fingers lightly caressed her cheek."I want to feel your skin against my own."

"Your family is so loving."She said as he led her to bed."It must've been fun growing up here."He laid down and pulled her close she laid her head on his chest.

"It was."He replied.

"Tell me about it.You never spoke much about your family back then.I want to know everything including who was your first girlfriend don't leave anything out."

"You never told me about your first boyfriend."

"That's because I never had one.You were my first and last."And she has no idea how much that means to him,that's why he's so over protective and possessive when it comes to her he doesn't want any man near this woman his need for her was becoming too strong it was spiraling out of control and it frighten him,he's never been the jealous type but when she came into his life that changed."Alejandro..you okay?"He nodded,for the next two hours Abby listened as he told her every detail about his childhood,she wished she'd had someone to play with and be up to no good he's had fun and listening to him right now sounds as if he enjoyed himself.

"I couldn't have asked for a better family and I wouldn't change them."He finished.

"I want such a beautiful life for our kids too."She kissed his chest."A life filled with love,joy and happiness.Maybe we can come and visit whenever you'll have time away from the office so Ally and the twins can be with their cousins and get to know your family."

"You want to visit again?"He asked puzzled,he hadn't expect that.

"Yes,why wouldn't I."Lifting her head she looked at him.

"I thought maybe our traditional believes would be too much for you and that you'll get bored."

"I want to know and learn everything about your tradition,you my husband and as your wife I want to know everything there is to know."

"Do you now?"He asked a smile spread across his face.

"Yes and after Sofia's wedding I'd like you to take me for a ride on one of the many horses you have in the stables.I hear you are an excellent rider."

"Years of practice."He answered.

"Is there anything you can't do?Who can actually speak five languages and where did you get time to learn all of them."

"I travel alot sweetheart you'll come to see soon enough."

"Does Arturo also speak and know five languages."

"He knows four including our own."

"I think I need a tutor."Abby said,he burst out laughing."Did I just say something funny."

He shook his head."Why on earth do you want a tutor."

"In case you haven't realise I need to speak Spanish everyone here doesn't speak English I feel so left out.Ally is fluent and not having a hard time in getting understood hearing and talking are two different things."
