Chapter 127 Chapter 127
Chapter 127 Chapter 127
Kieran’s POV
John went next and I could see how the humans relaxed more knowing that he was also human and an agent. Then it was Jess’s family who went Alice was fine and so was Bob, but Justin had to make some stupid comment about adding Jess to his video games in a skimpy outfit and I saw red. No one, but me would be seeing her in a skimpy outfit and she sure as hell was not going to become a character in his game.
Next it was the humans, and I realised that none of them had been vetted. John put a bloody advert in the paper and the ones who are here are the ones that applied. I suppose it made sense as we got the numbers without much work. But one of the human’s women sounded like she just wanted to fine a hot man in unform to fuck. I was looking forward to training starting and Jess breaking her, I have never been a fan of women like her. Then you had a mechanic/ male slut and a trucker who liked to fight. I just hoped that John was right about Jess and she would be able to whip them into shape.
I smiled at Christina as she made her way around the group measuring them. She was using the same spell that she used to making the wedding clothes, so I was not even sure if the humans noticed her or not. None of them reacted to her, so I am guessing they didn’t. Once everyone one was done Christina quickly introduced herself and then told every to close their eyes. We all did as she asked and when we opened them, we all had orange hoodies placed with our orange team t-shirts. I noticed when Jess held up her hoodie that it had her name on the back. I turned around and noticed that mine did too. I was impressed, now no one had to worry if you forgot someone’s name, you would just have to look at their back.
We all left our room and headed to the muck room to meet with the other teams. I was curious to meet the other teams and find out their names. You could tell a lot about a team by the name they choose for themselves. Thankfully Jess assigned me the task of walking around the groups and getting the group names. She gave them all a few minutes to choose a team leaded and while they did that, we walked back to our team to get a leader. I was impressed when everyone chose Christina, she was a good fit, and I was happy with the decision. I was glad that they didn’t try to go for me or John as we would be beside Jess for most of the training and it would make things difficult. Once the time was up, I started to walk around the tables taking down the team names.
“Why is the chick doing the training?” one of the men chuckled at me “Don’t you feel inferior taking orders from her?”
“Well, that chick is my wife” I chuckled “She can also read minds” I snickered “So I would watch what you think around her. She has the power to make your life very hard”
“So, your wife is able to boss you around” he laughed
“Yep” I replied as I popped the P “I love a strong and dominate woman” I winked as I walked away and to the next table. Some men are so weak that a strong woman scares them. Once I got all the team names, I went back to Jess who dismissed everyone to eat and took my hand before walking back to join our team. I noticed that the vamps had all left and leant that they were training on their own. It made sense as I am sure the humans would freak out having a whole coven of vampires training with them and the vampires would train better on their own. To be honest I am surprised that the werewolves had decided to stay and train with us. I am sure that they would be better training on their own too.
All the teams took it in turns just like Jess asked and lunch ran smoothly. Once everyone had finished eating Jess grinned at me.
“Ready to show these guys what we are made off?” she asked me and John
“Hell yes” I grinned as we all stood up and walked back to the front.
We were supposed to be doing this to show the others what to do, but all three of us knew that this was a race. We were all to competitive to just take it easy. Hayley went to the finish line with Oscar got us ready and made sure that we all left the start line at the same time. We got in to position, and I glanced at Jess who was not even looking at me. She was too focused looking straight ahead, I glanced at John who just grinned at me and shrugged his shoulders. I had missed out on seeing Jess train, so this side of her was all new to me. Not that I minded, I was actually very excited about getting to see the competitive side.
Oscar told us to go, and we all took off. I knew better then to look at Jess or John, so instead I focused on each obstacle as I approached it. I knew that looking at my opponents while racing would be a distraction and make me go slower.
The obstacle course we were doing was just the beginner one, so we all finished it with ease. I was surprised when Jess only bet me by half a second and John only a fraction behind me. This was why the three of us would be an unstoppable team. We were all the best of the best, I smiled at Jess as we walked back to the start so that the other teams could have their turn. This was their first test, once they could pass this course they would move on to the advanced course.
