His Lust
His Lust
Alea's POV
Cassie had left after what I said to her. She masked everything up with a smile then left. Elder Darin and the rest had been shown to the room they would be staying for the meantime they would be here.
Kairo dragged me out here even though I wanted to be inside the room but I didn't complain. It was chilly out here in the garden but still it was nice watching the pool that connects the Divine water in all of the pack from the palace gardens.
He held my hand, not letting go of it like I could vanish if he ever mistakenly does. I smiled at this gesture and he caught me blushing then smiled too.
We stayed silent, just watching the movements of the water. The way it rustled and maybe if fishes were what was moving inside.
Then we saw two fishes pop out from inside the water. They stayed at the top, wriggling their tails in excitement as they moved around freely while making rounds in the water.
They were free, no restraints, no burdens.
“You know, Alea?” Kairo called my attention and I turned to him.
My gaze took his feature in and I wondered why I was just realizing the person I had married was this hot, this sexy, this handsome.
An Alpha who exercises authority. An Alpha who wouldn't let me get hurt. I smiled, not because of this but because I was forced to remember our first meetings together.
“I wish we could be like this fishes” He said and I squinted my gaze, wanting to hear more.
He tightened his grip around my hand, caressing the back of my hand so delicately like he would have done to the most cherished thing he has.
“They can roam about freely without having to worry about anyone or anything. Right now, they look like lovers who had left their family to pursue nothing but their love” Kairo explained and I gave a dry smile.
Empty. Full of pains.
“You know that is nearly impossible to happen to us” I said, voice low and sad. It's the truth.
He is the Alpha of a pack, I'm his Phantom Queen. Wanting a life like these fishes would only mean we would be willing to drop our responsibilities then leave just to care about ourselves. But what about the pack members?
Would they even leave us alone? The Elders?
They will hunt us like criminals on the fucking run.
“I know we can't, Alea,” Kairo said, his voice dropping like he had wished for a moment that it'd be possible.
I faced him, cupping his face into my hands and even myself was amazed at how small his face looked at the moment. How he looked like a kid needing a mother to tend to him and understand his emotions.
“Kairo….” I called, caressing his cheeks with my hands. “It doesn't matter. We don't have to abandon everything just to enjoy a life alone” I said, he looked up at me, his eyes quite blurred with tears.
“We can make a life here. Be happy here. Enjoy our time alone while we can. Take care of all troubles together. We would be okay as long as we are together, Kairo” I said and that put a smile on her face.
“Then let's stay together for as long as we can. Only the two of us” He said and I smiled, only to realize that I had started tearing up just thinking about everything we've had to go through so far and much more that is yet to come.
“Won't we be lonely?” I tried to throw a joke in and it worked, he laughed.
“Then we could make babies” He said and I was made to laugh too. Babies.
I had never really thought about that. The pack's problems after problems didn't allow me to.
“I guess we should” I said, voice low and nervous and just like I had quite been expecting it. Kairo's face came closer, his gaze on my lips as I can't help but swallow hard.
“Now?” He asked and my cheeks flushed red.
“What the hell?” I almost laughed and he did too.
“I don't want them born in this unstable world of ours. Let's make babies when we turn this world into a better place. What do you say?” I asked, cheeks still burning red.
“We should do exactly that, Alea,” he smiled and I smiled back.
“We are fated to be together Alea” His voice was low, so seductive I wished I could take him all for myself right now, outside here.
“I know” I said but then remembered something. The most important moments of our lives. Our first encounters.
“But you do remember when you rejected me?” I laughed. He looked embarrassed for a moment before he cleared his throat annoyingly making me laugh more.
“That was…….I….” No excuses. He really did outrightly deny me but we ended up here now. In love and thinking of making babies.
That's fate.
“Alea,” Kairo called. “I love you” That shocked me because it was unexpected. I mean…..I expected him to love me, heck! I knew he loved me but hearing him say it right now was just so unexpected.
Still letting me process the words, his lips found mine, crashing into it so violently.
His lips ravaged mine and I didn't care about the kiss being rough. I wanted more. I wanted him.
I wrapped my hands around his neck, kissing him back with the same energy.
I didn't know for how long the kiss lasted, but it did for quite a while. A longer while than I must have expected. He broke the kiss, both of us restless and still wanting more.
The look of lust in his eyes. The burning sensation between my legs.
His hands found my face and he tried to place his lips on mine once again when we heard a gasp between us. We weren't startled since we weren't even cheating but still, we turned.
“My apologies, Alpha. My apologies, Queen” A guard was there, apologizing.
I let out a breath, frustrated.
He ruined everything.
