Chapter 112 | Long-term sleeping pills

Chapter 112 | Long-term sleeping pills
Dexson thought about a plan to meet Edgar and ask him to heal his leg quickly.

Edgar was a traditional medical expert, and a very skilled one at that. Even if someone had been poisoned with a deadly toxin, Edgar would most likely be able to cure them. Edgar could also heal injuries in a short amount of time.

"I believe Edgar can heal me quickly, better than a regular doctor," Dexson thought to himself.

His hand was still gently stroking Caroline's head, while Caroline herself was already asleep, enjoying the gentle caress Dexson was giving her.

Dexson looked at Caroline who was asleep. He would probably leave Caroline for about three or four days.

"I'm definitely going to miss you. I'll endure it so we can go to Singapore faster," Dexson muttered.

Dexson tried to stand up while enduring the pain. He had to act quickly before Caroline woke up.

Dexson walked slowly, holding onto the wall so he wouldn't fall.

"Sir, do you need anything?" asked the maid, looking at Dexson with concern.

"I'm going to my room. It's okay, I'll walk slowly. And please make some delicious porridge for Caroline and black coffee for me," replied Dexson.

"When the porridge is ready, bring it to my room first," he continued.

"Yes, sir." The maid immediately obeyed Dexson's order to make porridge. She glanced worriedly at Dexson, making sure he didn't fall as he walked to his room.

Forty-five minutes later, the maid finished making the porridge and black coffee. She immediately delivered them to Dexson's room.

"Can you get me a glass of water? And also get me a cane from the storage room to help me walk," Dexson ordered.

"Yes, sir. Please wait a moment," she said with a respectful bow.

Seeing that the maid had left, Dexson took something from his drawer. Dexson looked at the potion in the small bottle.

"This liquid is a long-acting sleeping potion. Maybe a few drops will make Caroline sleep for a few days," said Dexson.

Dexson then poured a few drops of the potion into Caroline's porridge. Then he stirred it slowly.

"I'm sorry, I have to put you to sleep rather than lose you," Dexson muttered.

Of course, the potion was not dangerous, it only had a long-term sleeping effect.

Dexson took the stick and went to Caroline's room.

"This medicine will take effect in five hours. I will use the time as best I can to be with Caroline," said Dexson.

Dexson opened the door to the room and saw Caroline still asleep. Then Dexson placed the bowl of porridge and a glass of water on the dresser. After that, he sat down next to Caroline.

Caroline woke up because of Dexson's touch. Still sleepy, Caroline hugged Dexson's arm while sitting up.

Dexson chuckled softly at Caroline's behavior. But he knew that Caroline was doing this in a half-conscious state. "Loren has cooked porridge for you. If you're not sleepy anymore, you can eat it," Dexson said gently as he stroked Caroline's head.

Caroline simply nodded her head in response.

"Don't forget to take your medicine. Don't be late," said Dexson.

The medicine was because Caroline had a fever and also experienced excessive headaches, so Dr. Bianca gave her medicine to take regularly until it was finished.

"Okay," muttered Caroline as she opened her eyes.

"I'm going to the bathroom first." Caroline let go of his embrace, then walked slowly to the bathroom.

Dexson smiled slightly, seeing how adorable Caroline looked.

"To be honest, it's hard for me to leave Caroline and let her eat this porridge. But what else can I do? There's no other way," Dexson muttered to himself as he slowly stirred the porridge.

Not long after, Caroline came out of the bathroom, looking much fresher.

Caroline walked over to Dexson and sat down beside him.

"Did the doctor come here and examine you again? Then he gave you that cane to help you walk? It looks like you're seriously injured, Dexson," Caroline said with a worried look on her face.

"My leg is a little swollen, so I asked for a cane. It will heal in a few days," Dexson replied.

"Now eat your porridge, let me feed you," she continued with a smile.

"Dexson is giving me so much attention, even though it's clear he's seriously injured. I feel so guilty," Caroline said to herself.

"Okay," Caroline replied as she accepted the spoonful from Dexson.

Dexson was both happy and sad when Caroline finished the porridge.

"I'll get your medicine. It's in my room," said Dexson.

"No. Let me get it. I'll take it here, you don't need to worry," replied Caroline.

"Okay," said Dexson with a smile.

Caroline then went to get the medicine.

"What should I do for five hours with Caroline? Before I leave her," Dexson muttered, rubbing his face in frustration.
