Caroline saw several dishes already laid out on the dining table. Of course, there was her favorite food.

"Did you cook all of this?" Caroline asked with a surprised look on her face.

"Of course, dear, I cooked this especially for you. And only you and your mother can taste my cooking," Dexson replied as he helped Caroline take her food.

"Please enjoy it. If you don't like it, just tell me. Or if you want something else, I don't mind cooking again," he continued.

Caroline smiled slightly at Dexson's service and attention. "No, I'll just eat this. The food you cook is also one of my favorites."

"Do you want me to feed you?" asked Dexson with a smile.

"No need, I'll eat by myself. You have to eat too," Caroline refused, because Dexson also had to eat.

Caroline knew that Dexson looked very tired. His face also showed that he was exhausted.

"Okay, dear, I'll eat with you, as you wish," Dexson said with a slight smile. The two of them then enjoyed their meal in peace.

After eating, they decided to relax while watching television.

"Honey, I peeled the mango and cut it into small pieces. Would you like to eat other fruits?" Dexson asked as he handed Caroline the mango he had just cut.

"Actually, I want to eat lychee. Will you buy some for me?" Caroline said with a pleading look.

"Of course, dear, you can eat the mango first while you wait for me to come home," replied Dexson with a slight smile.

Dexson then got up and hurried to his room to get his jacket and car keys.

"Wait a minute, I'll go buy some lychees for you," said Dexson as he kissed Caroline briefly on the lips.

Caroline stared at Dexson's back. She knew Dexson was tired, but she wanted to test him. It turned out that Dexson didn't complain at all and immediately obeyed her command.

"Is it because I helped him overcome his passion? Or is he afraid that I'll find 10 women to satisfy him?" Caroline muttered with a chuckle.

Caroline then enjoyed the mango slices Dexson had given her.

Suddenly, Caroline's cell phone rang. She smiled and immediately answered the call.

"What! Mom and Dad had an accident. Okay, I'll be right there," said Caroline with a panicked expression.

Caroline didn't even call Dexson or Jack first because she was too panicked. Caroline decided to go alone.

Caroline had already booked the fastest flight and went to the airport alone.

"I hope Mom and Dad are okay," Caroline murmured with a worried expression.

However, when Caroline was about to get into the online taxi she had ordered, someone suddenly covered her mouth from behind. Caroline tried to fight back, but because the handkerchief contained a sedative, Caroline lost consciousness.

After Caroline fainted, a man immediately carried her into the car.

Dexson was happy because he managed to get some lychee fruit, even though he almost couldn't get it because it wasn't in season yet.

"Luckily, I told the fruit seller that my wife was craving it, so he helped me find some lychee," said Dexson with a chuckle.

"Oh my god, I can't wait to make Caroline crave it when she's pregnant with my child," he continued.

Dexson then headed home. Caroline would surely be happy that he had brought her the lychee fruit she had requested.

"Tonight I'll persuade Caroline to give me my share until morning," he said with a chuckle as he walked into the house.

"Honey, I'm home. Look, I brought you the lychee fruit you wanted. Do you want to eat it right away? I'll help peel it," Dexson said, shouting a little.

Dexson was quite surprised because there was no sign of Caroline coming to greet him.

"Is Caroline asleep?" Dexson muttered.

Dexson decided to go to the bedroom, but Caroline wasn't there. He hurriedly searched elsewhere, and it turned out that Caroline was indeed not at home.

"Caroline. She's not at home?" Dexson growled.

Dexson tried to call Caroline's number, but it was inactive.

"Damn. Why is her phone so hard to reach? What's really going on?" Dexson looked very emotional.

Then Dexson asked the guard for more details. The guard said that Caroline had gone to her parents' house because her parents had been in an accident.

"Caroline. You shouldn't have gone alone, you could have called me first so I could take you there. I'm afraid something might happen to you," said Dexson.

Dexson rubbed his face roughly, he decided to go to Jack's house. Maybe Jack knew where Caroline's parents' house was. He would follow Caroline there.

A few minutes later, Dexson arrived at Jack's house, driving his car at full speed.

"Dexson, what are you doing here?" Jack had just returned from work and was quite surprised by Dexson's arrival at his house.

"Do you know where Caroline's parents live? I want to go there to follow Caroline," asked Dexson.

"I heard that Caroline left alone because her parents had an accident," he continued.

"Don't just say anything! They're fine, I met them earlier for work," replied Jack.

"Damn! That means Caroline was set up," said Dexson emotionally.
