Chapter 66 It Was Isabella’s
Chapter Sixty-Seven
“Who in the world did you think put me up to this, huh?!” Tori asked, her eyes wide and looking like that of a crazy woman.
George stepped back, his brows drawn with a dark frown, “What are you talking about?”
Tori laughed in a crazy manner and raked a hand through her hair and looked at George with disgust, “You must think your daughter and your wife are such angels, right?! Well, let me tell you this, all these was planned by them!”
“Impossible!” George thundered. “Don’t drag my family into this!”
Clara stepped forward at once and gave Tori a deafening slap. She staggered backwards and fell back on her buttocks hard.
“You useless child, how dare you try to bring us into this matter?” Clara said with an enraged expression, “I’m sure your hobby is framing people because what’s the meaning of that nonsense which you’ve just spoken?!”
Tori could not believe that Clara had slapped her. She held on to her cheek with a trembling hand. “A..aunt Clara, you…you slapped me?!” She asked, her voice low with disbelief.
“And I will beat you to death if you don’t get the hell out of here now!” Clara thundered, then turned to Mr and Mrs Sanders, “Get your filthy daughter out of our home. Make sure you never return here, ever!”
Tori bounded to her feet, anger coursing through her body at the betrayal, “Aunt Clara! You and Selena put me up to this! How can you deny it now?!” She turned to her parents and the Graves family, “It was them! They told me to frame Mr Graves! They said that way, I will be able to steal the affection of the Graves family away from Aria Beaumont! It was them!”
“Tori, stop acting so immature!” Selena uttered, crossing her arms in anger, “You’re always acting like an educated and classy woman. How can an educated and classy woman stoop so low to lie against others? Just accept that it’s your fault and get out!”
Tori was furious.
She marched towards Selena, intent on pulling her hair out by the roots but her parents stopped her.
Overwhelmed with shame, they hit her and dragged her out of the house.
“You shameless child, what other trouble do you want to bring on us now?!” They hit her and confined dragging her out of the house, hoping against hope that the Graves family will not decide to punish them and call them back.
Fortunately, the Graves family had already had enough of their messy affairs and they just wanted to leave.
Besides, the Beaumont family was still their in laws.
If anything, they were the ones that they were going to settle with, not Mr and Mrs Sanders.
After the Sanders family had left, the entire sitting room fell silent.
Clara gave a nervous laugh and started to speak, “Well, thank goodness we came to the end of that. If we can all just forget about…”
“Forget about what?” Aria interrupted, crossing her arms and giving her stepmother a cold look, “You all were ready to have my husband take Tori as a second wife, even ready to ruin his reputation. And now, you want us all to forget about it?”
“Aria,” Clara called in exasperation, “I only said that because there is no use talking about the matter. It was all a misunderstanding.”
“A misunderstanding?!” Lucian uttered through gritted teeth, “A misunderstanding where you were well prepared with your evidence and even ready to upload it to the internet. Clara Beaumont, I dare say that crazy woman, Tori might be right. You must have a hand in this.”
Clara’s eyes widened in dismay that’s statement. She started trembling as she shook her head frantically in denial, “No! No, no, no, that had nothing to do with me.” She uttered, her voice rising in a panic, “It was all Tori. She was the one who planned and executed all this by herself!”
“Yes, that’s true. My mother and I are innocent!” Selena uttered, as she stepped forward to hold her mother’s arm.
“He never said you were involved,” Aria uttered smiling devilishly at Selena, “But then again, you happened to see your cousin, whom you claim was being assaulted, and all you could do was record the act, instead of actually helping her. That means you did not even have the well being of your cousin in mind. You only just wanted to set Lucian up!”
“That’s not true!” Selena uttered , stamping her foot hard on the ground. She was breathing hard already under pressure and she looked to her parents for help.
George cleared his throats as he stepped forward, “Aria,” he called calmly, “Selena is not like that. We are all family. Please let’s not have such evil intentions against each other!”
“Yes please, let’s just forget about everything!” Clara seconded, “We swear we would never let those people back into our homes or anywhere near you ever again.”
“We can’t just forget about this, i can assure you that,” Madam Graves uttered as she stood up and smoothed her skirts. “But since our lovely daughter in law is from your family, and we have so much to be thankful because of her, we can actually overlook it for now.”
“Oh mother.” Aria called out softly, “Please do not worry about me. I believe that if a person has done wrong, they should be punished for it. The Beaumont family had tried to tarnish the reputation of the Graves family. Please do not let them go Scot free.”
At those words, George was overtaken with fear and anger, “Aria, how can you say that?!” He asked in an anguished voice, afraid to yell at her even in the slightest, “Do you want our Beaumont family to be in ruins? Do you want your mother’s empire to be in ruins as well?”
Aria paused at that statement, her grows drawn down in a thoughtful frown.
The Beaumont Empire had belonged to Isabella Beaumont?
