Chapter 59 Elara Vaughn’s Man!
Chapter Sixty
Elara quickly took out the memory card from the camera and placed it in her laptop, retrieving the recording in it.
Lucian watched her work, fascinated by her devilish grin which spread across her face as she cooked up whatever she had in store for her scheming stepmother.
He could not help but think she looked so cute.
Hell, she could even be planning to murder an entire nation and he would still think she was beautiful while doing it.
As well, as support her wholeheartedly.
He could not wait to see how she would deal with those scheming women. It would be so thrilling and he knew he would love every moment of it.
He trusted Aria fully to deal with her stepmother.
She had single-handedly placed Nathan and Monica in their places when she’d arrived at the Graves mansion.
She had stolen the hearts of his parents as soon as she’d arrived.
Hell, she’d stolen his as well, placed it in an iron box and locked it, throwing the key away.
He was all hers now, and he loved it.
He stood up from the bed and walked towards her, just as she finished working on what she was doing.
“That was smart, placing a camera before you left,” he murmured as she stood up. He drew her into his arms, his large hand splayed over the small of her back, where his thumb drew lazy circles.
He inhaled deeply, filling his head with her scent. His eyes roved over her face, mesmerized by her flushed skin, her bright green eyes and her cheeky grin.
He could not get tired of being smitten by her. He could not get enough of her, nor could he bear her being away from him even for a moment.
Even if they were in the same room.
He tucked a few strands of black hair behind her ear, and worshipped her with his eyes, “Come to think of it,” he drawled, “How did you know what was going to happen? How did you know to even warn me of it too?”
Aria chuckled, relaxing fully in Lucian’s arms.
“It’s was all too obvious they were resorting to their evil ways,” she muttered, trailing a finger along Lucian’s biceps, her gesture soft and seductive,
Earlier that afternoon, she’d immediately discerned that Clara’s behaviors was strange. Infact the whole idea of the Beaumont family having them over at their family house was strange, and Aria had immediately known Clara was up to something.
Before they had left the Graves mansion, she had asked a small favour from Zach.
The camera had been provided by him with much eagerness, and Aria was glad with the way it all worked out.
Zach would be very useful to her in the future.
She looked back up as Lucian, “I’m sorry for using you,” she uttered in a childlike voice, laying her head down on his chest, “but even if I hadn’t warned you of it, I knew you were not going to fall for it.”
As she spoke, Lucian could definitely feel the curve of her grin against his chest.
She knew how hard it must have been for him to have endured all that had happen, yet he had been willing to do it for her.
Aria had put him up to it as well, knowing fully well Tori Sanders would never get to him.
However, Lucian chuckled slightly, “And how would you know that?”
Aria’s smile did not falter, only it became colder, “Tori Sanders is not your type of woman.” She glared up at him, “The silly thing would never be able to match your aura, Lucian. I am the only woman capable of that.” Her glare turned to a sly look, “And besides, you’re completely smitten with me, Lucian Graves. Even you can’t deny it.”
Lucian chuckled, his chest vibrating with the deep rumble of his laugh, sending a thrill through Aria’s whole body.
“Well, you’re damn right about that, you vixen,” he murmured against her hair and Aria smiled all the more.
There was a tentative knock at the door, and a maid’s voice soon came through.
“Young Miss. Master Graves, the Graves family is here at the mansion.” The maid informed them, “Madam Clara is requesting your presence downstairs at once.”
Aria smirked, pushing herself from Lucian’s body, “Mother and Father are here.” She hooked her arm in the curve of his hand and held her head high, “are you ready?” She asked him.
He looked at her, the calm confidence in his eyes almost making her knees weak, “I am ready whenever you are.”
Aria scoffed, “Let’s go then. It’s time to set off some fireworks. Some people are about to be real mad.”
They walked out of the room arm in arm, and descended down the stairs majestically in an unhurried fashion.
Below them in the sitting room, there were quite a number of people waiting for them.
The Beaumont family sat on one side of the sitting area, their heads held high.
Mother and daughter threw malicious looks at Lucian and Aria, then exchanged sly looks with themselves, quickly hiding their mocking smiles.
At the other end of the sitting area was the Chairman and Madam Graves. They looked at Lucian and Aria as they descended the stairs, their faces betraying none of their emotions.
Sitting between the two families in the sitting area, was a couple, Mr and Mrs Sanders.
The Sanders couple looked ready to explode and they glared at Lucian and Aria.
Tori Sanders sat with them, her head down and nestled against her mother’s shoulder. She was still wearing her torn dress and there was still the bold imprint of five fingers on her face.
However, Aria caught the gleam of mischief in her eyes, even with her head down.
“Sly bitch,” Aria muttered underneath her breath, holding her head high as she descended the stairs, “You will pay dearly for your silly act. I’ll show you what happens when you dare to mess with Elara Vaughn’s man.”
