Chapter 19 He Kept Himself For Her!

Chapter 19 He Kept Himself For Her!
Chapter Nineteen

Lucian looked at the bowl of porridge before him, wondering if he could trust her.

Aria made a face at him, “My arms hurt. Just open your mouth already.”

Lucian turned away from her stubbornly, “I am not a child. Do you think you can entice me with thoughts of food?”

At that moment, his stomach rumbled and he exhaled in frustration. Aria bit her lips to keep from laughing.

She decided to torture him some more, “Well then since you don’t want to eat, nor do you want my offer, I’ll just take this back to your mother,” she uttered, placing the bowl back on the trolley and prepared to take it out.

She paused, then sighed sorrowfully, “I wonder how her expression would be when she sees me returning the bowl. It would break her heart.”

She made to stand up again when Lucian gripped her arm.

“Wait!” He said gruffly, pulling her back on the bed.

However, they had been sitting so closely together, that when he pulled her back towards him, she fell right on top of him.

Aria gasped softly in shock, as she stared at Lucian with wide, green eyes.

Lucian himself swallowed hard as he stared into her eyes. He could feel the softness of her body pressed against his hardness, and it was doing crazy things to his head and his insides.

His hands were around her slim waist, and her scent filled his nostrils.

Like lavender and pine leaves.

Like heaven.

He found himself leaving in closer to her, trying to take in more of her scent, and his lips were getting dangerously close to hers.

“Lucian…” Aria murmured, her eyes wild and her pulse beating wildly at the base of her neck.

Her brain was screaming at her to stand up and flee from the room, but her treacherous body was reluctant to do so.

“Damn you, Aria Beaumont!”

She could feel the strength of his hands which was wrapped around her waist, and marveled at how perfectly, her body was molded to his.

Up close, Lucian had mad visuals, and Aria felt like melting right there and then.

He drew her closer, his face so close to hers that she could feel his breath on her face.

Just when his lips was about to claim hers, he stopped, seemingly coming back to his senses.

He cursed under his breath and pushed her away from him.

“Ahh!” Aria yelped as she was flung to the ground.

Not hard, but it was still enough force to make her bottom smart with pain.

“What is wrong with you?!” She snapped at him, as she got up from the floor, wiping her dress, “I thought your limbs were weak, but somehow you still want to murder me?!”

Lucian was dumbfounded, his ears red at the tip. He could not say anything, not with the huge bulge on his shorts which was threatening to force itself through the blankets.

He turned away from her once more, so she could not see how mortified he was.

Hell, he had only woken up and met this woman like an hour again, and he’s already reacting this way to her.

His thoughts went straight to Elara Vaughn, and his body seemed to shrink and relax a bit, as a gloomy shadow overcame him.

Elara Vaughn was the only woman whom he’d ever felt something for , whose thoughts alone was able to set his body on fire.

He had not even had the time to communicate his feelings to her before his accident.

And now, he was drawn to another woman?

Lucian felt like shit.

He had sworn to only keep himself for Elara, for that time one day when he would be able to confess to her and claim her as his…

When she would finally be able to see that he was the right one for her, and not Kurt Eugene.

He had waited patiently for decades and now, this Aria Beaumont was trying to ruin his plans?!

His hands clenched into fists by his side as he spoke, “Drop the bowl and leave. I’ll eat it when I feel like it.”

Aria smiled, then shook her head no, “Yea, that’s not going to work,” she drawled, “You are going to have to eat it while I’m here so I can return the bowl to Mother.”

Lucian looked at her, his eyes cold and the muscles in his chin were clenched hard.

Without another word, he picked up the porridge bowl and ate the contents of it.

The porridge was quickly leveled because it tasted really good in fact, and he was dead hungry.

He was tempted to ask for more, but he did not want to communicate with this woman anymore.

This Aria Beaumont who had the power to make him break his boundaries.

He remained cold and stiff even after she retrieved the bowl and cooed happily, as if he’d completed a huge task.

“That’s a good boy,” she cooed happily, smiling so brightly in his face, that Lucian had to clench his fists harder to maintain his cold front.

Hell, it was hard to remain cold and gloomy when she was this bright and beautiful in his face.

He turned his face away, his eyes shut tightly, “Get out.”

Aria’s smile slowly faded as a hurt look came into her eyes at his coldness.

“Hmph, jerk.” She muttered, loud enough for him to hear, as she grabbed the trolley and marched out of the room.

Lucian only turned towards her direction when she slammed the door behind her.

He heaved a sigh of relief, breathing more easily now.

Hell, he can’t stay with that woman.

If he does, he would have to break his vow of remaining faithful in heart and mind to Elara Vaughn.

“What the hell kind of woman is she?” He muttered to himself.

Seconds later, he reached for the chest beside the bed and pulled out the drawer, revealing a cell phone.

He pulled it out and turned it on, his face grim.

When the screen came on, he went straight to the contacts and found the one he was looking for.

Zach Frost.

Lucian waited for minutes as the call was forwarded and finally it went through.

There was not a sound to be heard on the other end, except trembled breathing.

Finally, the person spoke, “Please, tell me this is real.”

“It’s me, Zach.” Lucian uttered, “I need your help.”
