Chapter 15 I will hunt them

My father was an impulsive person and I knew that. Everyone one around him knew that. However, I didn't think he could be that impulsive by sending out werewolves to attack Teran.
When was he going to learn? Sending his warriors to attack Teran, was inviting an attack on Aetheria but he would never listen. I could have mind-linked him and told him to stop any further plans he had on attacking Teran, but mind-linking wasn't going to do anything. I decided to go Aetheria myself.
He was in a meeting when I arrived the pack. I went to the living room and bumped into Laken who was about to step outside.
"Ouch, you scared me."
He quickly stepped back. He turned his face away from like he didn't want me to look at him or see me. But I did not come here for him. He didn't have to hide.
"What brings you back to Aetheria? You didn't find a girl in Teran? Of course, doesn humans taste like our girls.”
I ignored him and went to sit on the table, waiting for my father to get done with his meeting. He was probably talking about what he had done and what he was planning to do.
"You should start learning how to mind your business, it would save you form a lot." I told Lanken when he made move to leave me alone.
"You didn't announce you were coming." My father's voice sounded at the door.
I immediately stand up. "I understand that, the humans are a threat to our kind, but you don't have to keep making rash decisions. They are far gone than us when it comes to weapons and if they decide to attack us, they will wipe us out. Father, I want you to trade with caution. "
Doubt was all over his face as he looked at me. "What are you talking about?"
Was he going to pretend that he didn't know what I was talking about right now?
"Werewolves attack Teran yesterday and some of the students were injured." I reminded him, should in case he had forgotten what he did.
"They deserve it."
Laken replied before my father could. My eyes moved to his face to ask what he meant, when i noticed the dark circle around his eye. I hadn't noticed that before. It looked like he had been punched in the face. It wasn't surprising. He loved getting into fights. And was also good at creating one where it shouldn't be.
"I didn't send anyone anywhere."
There was shock on my father's face just like it was on my mine.
We both turned to face Laken. He started to walk away, when my father stopped him.
"What did you do? And on whose orders did you do it?"
He started rambling. My hands itched to go get him where he was standing.
How could he be like that? Just like his father?
"We have to get rid of them, father. If not, we would he dann Just like he said..."
He pointed in my direction. "We would be done for, if the humand decide to come after us."
My hands balled into tight fists as I stared down at him.
How could he be so callous and thought it was a good thing?
"On whose orders did you do that, Laken? Didn't I warn you to stay away from anything that had to do with Teran?" My father asked, as he turned to face him.
"Father..."
His next words were caught from his mouth as my father lifted his hand and it came crashing down the side of his face.
My father was close to sixty, but the strength he had, surpassed that of most people in their twenties. Exactly why Laken tumbled back at the slap.
"What did I do wrong, father? Does it always have to be Zeev all the time? How else do you want me to prove to you that I can do this? He is not the only son you have? You keep sending him on errands. How are you even sure that is going to live long to..."
"You better shut up, if you don't want another hit to your face."
I immediately warned him That was the one thing he always had to say.
"Z. You came again?" Xanthe came out of the blue, accusation laced in her voice.
I didn't know I was going to stay here this long. I wouldn't have come down here, if my half brother hadn't been dimwitted and decided to act on impulse. If this wasn't taken care of, then we shall be ready for the consequences.
She bowed to my father and matched towards me. Without thinking, she wrapped her slender hands around me. A breath escaped my lips. To think of it, I kind of missed this. However this wasn't the time for all this.
"Xanthe. " I called out. She didn't answer but pressed her lips against mine. She kissed me, trying to force her way into my mouth.
"Come on. We don't have to do this here." I placed my hands on her shoulder and pushed her back.
A deep scowled settled on her face as she looked at me with those big brown doe eyes.
"Why can't we ? Is there something wrong?" She stepped away from me when I didn't say anything.
She then nodded her head like she realized something.
"Oh...let me guess. Did you find a human to fk while back at Teran huh? Did she taste good? Is that why you don't want me anymore?"
I wasn't in the mood for this. How did she even come up with that idea?
I tried to reach towards her, but she pushed me away.
"That's what you have been doing right? Tell me." She almost yelled out the last part, which reminded me of just how crazy she was.
"There is no one, Xanthe. It's just y..."
I held back what I wanted to say. It's not like I was seeing anyone. It was her.
Okay, Fine. Naomi. But I hadn't claimed her yet. I didn't have any intentions of doing that.
I just wanted her for my own benefit. If she was actually my mate, I was going to use her for my redemption and tossed her away.
So that meant. Xanthe was the only one I had.
So, I moved towards her and pulled her into my arms. I pressed a kiss on her lips and then her forehead.
"It's just you and me . There is no one else." I looked down at her eyes. A smirked at the corner of my lips when she settled.
"If there is ever anyone, trust me, I'm going to hunt them down."
Of course, I trusted her to do that.
