disobey him

Next, Bridget swung but was disappointed when I blocked her weak hit. The speed and power of my legs sent my foot against her stomach which sent her tumbling to the ground, the air whooshing out of her like a popped balloon. Kera was left standing, trembling slightly. Right leg. My inner wolf had forced me to notice the slight limp when she had first walked into the circle. A damaging weakness that should have never been spotted by an opponent but that now painted a target on her.

They say never kick a man while he is already down? What about a bitch? My hands up and my fist clinching, I brought all her attention to my hands before I dropped down and spin kicked her legs right from under her, the sharp impact echoing in the tense silence.

She hit the ground with a thump as her hands clutched her bruised leg, fingers digging into the raw skin as pain radiated through her limb. Finally, they scrambled back to their feet. Hatred. Humiliation. Loathe. I could see the anger burning in their colorless eyes those eyes devoid of warmth or mercy. I could see that they were not ready to give up. Good. Neither was I. Still fighting with anger, Jamie charged at me, her arm pulled back and ready to strike me with brutal intent.

I anticipated the attack; however, I did not expect the next thing. The dirty play that these girls probably did before. A slight tug against my hair sent me hurdling to the ground, the world spinning as I crashed onto the hard dirt. Protecting myself, I wrapped myself into a ball as the girls attacked me. Punches. Kicks. They all came one after another, mercilessly pounding me without a hint of guilt or hesitation for their play.

On account of them playing unfair, I expected the Alpha to stop them. Stupidly, he didn’t, which only pissed me off more, the betrayal sharp like a thorn in my side.

My inner wolf howled out, urging me to let my inner beast free. "Hold on," I warned myself of the results of me shifting and showing the power that she possessed. I will slaughter these girls. I held back for as long as I could before control was finally lost, slipping through my fingers like sand.

My body began to shake uncontrollably. Air around me began to fade as I gasped for much-needed air, each breath ragged and desperate. Vibrations surged through my bones as they began to crack, shifting and deforming my once humanly body, the pain so intense it burned through every nerve ending.

My skin, once smooth, was now covered in white fuzz that quickly lengthened out, thick and wild. I continued to try to contain myself, gripping my will tight, but I knew I had lost that battle moments ago.

Fully shifted and filled with rage, I violently shook the girls off of me before I snapped my teeth at the scared party, the sharp click of my jaws cutting through the tension.

My claws dug into the soft dirt beneath me as my head lowered in an aggressive stance. Teeth exposed and my body poised for attack, I dared them to shift so we could finish this game once and for all.

Eyes watched me very closely, their breaths held in fearful anticipation, but my eyes remained fixated on the three daring she-wolves. A sharp, threatening growl escaped me, vibrating low in my chest. I wanted them to shift. I wanted them to test me again. I dare them to.

All was quiet except for my low and dangerous growls that left me every few seconds, a warning to show that I was not up for the shit.

"SHIFT BACK!"

My head snapped in the direction of the command, muscles tense and primed. I opened my mouth slightly until my sharp canines were exposed to him in an almost threatening way, a silent declaration that I was far from submissive.

"Now!!"

I tried to ignore him; I struggled to ignore his command, the words clashing with my defiance.

"SHIFT BACK OR I SHIFT." His tone was threatening, sharp as a knife, so I knew he would shift. By me showing my teeth to him, I knew if he shifted, blood would definitely be shed.

Almost hesitant, I finally gave in and began to transform back into my human form. Fur retracted back into my skin, soft and smooth once more, and my bones returned to normal until I was just an exposed human sitting in the grass. Wide eyes stared at me. Not due to my naked body but they read something else beneath my skin. Curiosity? Shock? I'm guessing no one has ever disobeyed their precious Alpha. But I did it again.

Amby ran out on the field, her footsteps quick and purposeful, handing me a blanket to wrap around myself.

"Thank you." I tightened the material around my flesh as I stood to my feet, the rough fabric grounding me. My head low, I walked past the wondering eyes and also the angry ones, feeling the weight of their stares like invisible daggers.

I guess I showed them. My inner wolf felt noble, satisfied, and almost powerful. She also felt something else. Nervous...

Just as I was passing by the Alpha, his angry dominant voice made me stop in mid-motion.

"Take her and lock her in my office," He ordered angrily, his words sharp and heavy, and the nearby werewolves gasped.

I was dead again.

The guard didn't hesitate, gripping my hands roughly. He dragged me to the Alpha’s office but I was glad this time it was the beta. I really hated him.

My nerves frazzled at the thought of being kept as a prisoner again. What was Xavier going to do with me now? I doubted he'd show any mercy after how I treated his warriors in his presence.

This time I inwardly prayed that he doesn't take me back to the cells.

"I'm going to lock you up in the Alpha's office till he comes," The guard said while pushing the keys inside and unlocking the office I had been to several times now. I stepped inside while he stayed out, "If you need anything, let me know, I will be outside and try not to go through the Alpha's things, he doesn't like that."

"Thank you and I will try," I replied quickly, my voice barely hiding the tension.

He closed the door and locked it from outside. I puffed out a breath when I heard his footsteps disappearing from the hallway.

The soaring electricity inside me kept me anxious and scared at the same time. I didn’t know what punishment he was going to give me this time.

Whatever it was, I still knew it in my heart that I will never obey his rules.

I was a raging female wolf that would harm anyone and Xavier was no less. Destruction and havoc would stem our path if we ever got together.

I couldn't let that happen.

Not now, not ever. I now wanted to disobey him until he finally rejects me.
