The tray, and all the content on it, went clit-clat on the floor, and Matilda gasped in shock, covering her mouth.
I wasn't surprised because I saw that coming, so I raised a brow, pretending I didn't know what he was talking about.
My only problem is Matilda, who has already shown that she knows who he is talking about. But I know what to do.
“Who is that, Draco? My name is Amelia Kyle, not Amelia Brook. And an Alpha?” I scoffed, “Where did you get that from?”
I pushed him away, walked towards the counter, and folded my arms while leaning on it. Then I signaled to Matilda, who quickly got the message and returned to her senses.
“Do not make a fool out of me, lady. I know who you are. Give me a pint of your blood, and I shall let you go, but if you don't, then you will be taken to the leader as the fugitive he is looking for!”
Oh, is that a threat? Draco has no idea what I do to those who threaten me. That rude lady is still inside the closet, unconscious. If that is what he wants to do, then he shall be my guest.
“Do not do that!” Amy snapped, “Continue lying to him so he will believe you and let you go.”
Crap! I hate lying!
“No, you don't know who I am, you've just mistaken me to be someone you know from somewhere. And Alpha Amelia Brook? Pfft. That name sucks! I wish I could get a hold of her and send her to her grave.”
After she had cleared the mess, Matilda stepped forward, her face creased in anger.
“Why would you do this, Draco?”
What now? Is she acting or what?
“I have been crushing on you for years now, and you are hitting on my sister instead? I am so disappointed in you!” she burst into tears, covering her face.
“What are you talking about, lady? I am not interested in any of you, I just…”
“Cut the crap, Draco! I heard all you said earlier. Why do you think the tray fell out of my hands? It was because I heard you say the words I have been waiting for to another girl. You've just broken my heart!”
Hahahahaha, Matilda is a maniac. But I love the way she related the tray accident to what he said about dating me.
“What da!” I exclaimed, then gasped. “My sister is interested in you, and you are hitting on me? Dude! We don't do that here. My sister and I love each other so much and will sacrifice anything for each other’s happiness. It is either you date her or leave us alone!”
The strongest vampire in the town became confused as he looked from me to Matilda.
“You know what? I made a mistake coming here. I thought you were who I was looking for. You guys are maniacs, and I don't associate with mentally disabled people like you!” he snarled, revealing his fangs, then stormed out of the shop.
As soon as he was gone, we cracked up, holding each other’s hands for support. “You are an actress, Matilda.”
“And you are too, Alpha Amelia.”
Throughout the day, we kept laughing whenever one of us brought up the topic. Draco was the maniac who didn't know the difference between acting and real acting.
“Tomorrow, you will bring an end to all this.” Matilda smiled, holding my hand as we lay on the bed, eyes on the ceiling.
“Yes, and I will take you back to the Lunskye pack and make you my Beta. You will be the first female Beta in this kingdom, just as I am the first female Alpha.”
“Really? Thank you so much, Alpha Amelia. But I can…”
“You can't what?” I cut her off. “You can and you must.”
The next morning, I woke up with a light mind and a happy mood. Today, I will be wiping out this sect and all that is in it and returning to my pack.
It was great exploring the southern part of the kingdom, even though it was a dangerous adventure. I really missed home, and I can't wait to go back and fulfill the promise I made to Hans.
No matter what, Hans and I must make out and get marked by him very soon.
“Are you set?” Matilda asked, handing me a cup of coffee. “I am ready, Matilda.”
And oh, that reminds me. The mean lady should be let out today so she will be alive when I wipe them out.
I took a sip of the coffee, gave the cup to Matilda, and hurried towards the closet. I opened it, tapped on the invisible lady’s head since I was the only one seeing her, and as soon as I removed the hairpin, she tumbled out of the closet, falling on her face.
“What am I doing here?” she asked, yawning and stretching her arms like she had just woken up from sleep.
“You got into trouble, and we saved you,” Matilda said with a smirk. And yes, the lady bought the lie and sprang up shockingly.
“You saved me? Thank you so much.”
Pfft. Believed that? Wow!
“I appreciate it, ladies. But why didn't you put me on the bed when you saved me?”
“Uhn? Is that the thank you we get from you? Do not be an ingrate, lady; be thankful that we were available to bring you home.” Matilda snapped. “Also, we will call them back if you try to fight with us.”
“Oh, no, I’m not fighting with you guys,” she chuckled softly. “Thank you for saving me. I will reward you handsomely. But now, I need to get home to make sure my family is okay.”
Look at her, a scaredy-meany. One will think she is tough, but she isn't. She just has a sharp mouth.
“She doesn't remember a thing?” Matilda asked impressively. “Yes, and she will never because they are dying today.”
“Who is dying today?” Mr. Wood asked shockingly.
“Jeez! You startled us. Stop eavesdropping on us!” I gasped, hands placed on my chest. “I wasn't; I just heard it.”
“Then do not barge into someone’s room without permission. What if we were naked?”
His eyes glinted when I mentioned that word. “Then I will be the happiest to see that flesh.”
“You will see them when I am back. So what brought you here?”
“To take you to the leader’s house, others are waiting in the car.”
