Chapter 48 Untitled Chapter

Chapter 48 Untitled Chapter
Since Hams refused to speak on the phone with Hans, we decided to go to the Pack unannounced. If he sees us, there is no way he would send us away.

When we arrived at Arkonix Packhouse, Hams was standing beside the car, wearing a black sleeveless top, revealing the large tattoos on his biceps.

He didn't care to look at the cars that had driven inside the packhouse, as he was busy creating a video of himself.

“And that's all for today, guys. We will meet tomorrow. Don't forget to follow this page for more tips on how to be a great leader. Bye, your favorite Alpha, Hamsgan.”

Hamsgan? Hams is out of his senses. And he even has a page where he teaches how to be a great leader? Ahh! What a shame!

“Your twin bro is a maniac,” I whispered to Hans, teasing. He scoffed, eyed me, and walked away. I wanted to laugh, but I couldn't because I am an Alpha, and there are servants all over the place.

Hans wasn't pleased with Ham's stupidity, and when he approached him, he snatched the phone from his hand.

“Since when did you become a social media tutor, Hamilton?”

Hams glared at him and reached for the phone, but Hans passed it to me.

“How is that your business, Hanston? It is my life, and I decide what to do with it,” he snapped, his tone sharp and piercing.

“You are only distracting us, dude. Look at the Pack; everywhere is a mess. It is so dry, as if there is no one living here. You should pour the energy you are using in creating those videos on this…”

“Hey!” I snapped, interrupting them. Hans was right, but that wasn't what brought us here. If he provokes Hams, we won't get what we want with him.

“Stop it already, guys; must you fight every time you meet?” I scoffed at them, tossed Hams’s phone to him, and held Hans’s hand.

“It's okay, dude, leave it that way,” I said firmly, patting his bicep.

Hams put the phone in his pocket, eyed Hans, and turned to me. His face lit up when he looked at me.

“What brought you here, Alpha? Is there a problem? Or do you need my help?”

Help? Pfft. Never will I ever need help from Hams.

“No, we came to discuss an important thing with you. You refused to answer Hans’ call, so we decided to come.”

“I don't want to talk to him, but if it is you, then you are welcome.”

“You know you can't stop me from coming here, right? I have a share in this pack, dude. If you like, you can listen to me, and if you don't, do not listen to me. The choice is yours. But get this into your empty brain: don't you think of destroying this pack because if you…”

“Hans!” I grabbed his hand, staring at him unpleasantly. “What are you doing? Stop it! We need to do this fast, please.”

“Amelia, these twins are going into war right now if you don't stop them. Can we just do whatever brought us here and leave already? This pack reeks of dark magic.” Amy hissed angrily.

Sure, it does reek of dark magic, and I can't wait to leave. But Hans, he is wasting our time, quarreling.

“Come in, Amelia,” Hams said, turning his back on us.

“No, you are coming with me.” Hans grabbed my hand, pinning me to himself. “Stick with me and avoid that dangerous dude.” He didn't even whisper; his voice was audible, and I knew he did that so Hams would hear him.

Hans heard that, and when he veered around, glaring at Hans, I signaled to him to go. And even though he was boiling in rage, he went inside.

Hans and I followed him, and as soon as we entered the living room and were seated, I brought up the topic. If Hans does, a fight will break out.

“Hams, when you came to the Lunskye pack yesterday, I noticed something with you.” He lifted his eyes from his phone, staring in curiosity.

“What's that?” he asked, then his eyes drifted to his phone again. “Is it the magic in me?”

“Not at all, dude, I already know about it because you let it out a few days ago. Also, it doesn't belong to you; it belongs to Rowan. And oh, what we are here for is connected to the magic. Hams, you've got to know that that magic is dark, meaning it is going to consume you and turn you into a dangerous person.” Hans shifted on the sofa, muttering under his breath. Knowing he was going to interrupt me and get into a fight, I quickly continued what I was saying.

“Do you know the Dark Shadows sect?” His brows wrinkled, and he lifted a brow, dropped the phone on the sofa, and locked his fingers.

“They are an organization that was wiped out by the gods decades ago. Someone in this kingdom has reformed the Pack and has so many pack leaders working under him.” When I got his attention, I continued. “Rowan was part of that organization, and that magic you…”

“Are you saying I am now part of the organization because I harbor his magic?” He cut me off, smirking.

“I…”

“Yes, dude! Your stupidity and knack for obtaining magic are going to lead you to your doom. You are now cursed, and very soon, the curse will start working on you because one by one, you will sacrifice these pack members to them!” Hans barked, getting up from the sofa. “You are a fool, Hams, and I swear, if anything happens to any of the pack members, you are going to regret it because I will kill you with my hands!”

As Hans yelled, his hands kept flying in the air, his harsh tone echoed in the building, and his eyes were so wide and red. Hams, on the other hand, just sat in a spot, staring at Hans as if he were a little kid throwing tantrums.

“Stop it, Hans!” I commanded, my tone harsh. “Do not yell at me, Amelia. I know what I am doing. Hams is only making a fool out of us, pretending he doesn't know what you are talking about, but I swear, he knows. He is aware of that organization because he is a part of it!”

Hams got up, cracking up. His laughter was devilish, and it echoed like the wind. When he brought down his head and glared at us, his eyes were damn red. And in a deep, thunderous tone, he snarled, “Yes, I am part of that organization!”
