Chapter 46 Untitled Chapter
AMELIA BROOK
With Rowan now gone, my mind is at rest. I can focus on other important things, but first, I need to get all his pack members into my pack.
Hams did a great job. I mean, I did a great job by using Hans' suggestion in controlling Hans' mind. And it's all thanks to the moon goddess for blessing me with this wonderful gift.
“I hope your magic won't stand in my way, Amelia. I was born to kick butts and punch faces.” Amy sighed worriedly and sank her head between her paws.
“Hey, do not feel bad. Of course, you will get to kick butts and punch faces as much as you want. Okay?”
She giggled in delight, gently standing on her paws. Suddenly, she snarled through clenched teeth, her tail straightening behind her.
A deep woody scent mixed with musk filled the entire space, alarming an attack.
“Rogue!” Amy snapped, stamping her paws, ready to attack.
However, it wasn't a Rogue; it was Hams. And the moment he stepped in, my heart skipped a beat.
When did Hams turn into a rogue? Oh, wait a second, he harbors a dark magic, Rowan’s magic.
Oh my goodness! Hams has turned himself into a rogue, and this won't turn out good.
“Amelia, this isn't good.” Amy shook her head in pity, eyes fixed on Hams, who was beaming in delight.
It isn't, and I must tell Hans about it. Maybe he would do something as fast as possible before the dark magic takes over Hams’ mind.
“Alpha Amelia Brook of the Lunskye Pack,” he called, smiling as he walked towards the desk.
Hmm, Hams called me an Alpha? What are the odds?
I got up, staring at his hands that he extended for a handshake.
“Alpha Hamilton Morgan of the Arkonix Pack.”
I stared at his hand for a few seconds, contemplating whether I should take the handshake or not. Even though he helped in eliminating Rowan, I still don't trust him. I mean, he promised to make me and Hans regret ditching him, so he will do anything to achieve that aim.
Also, I’ve got to be careful from now on; Hams must have a lot stored in his heart to do to me.
“What brings you here, Hams? You didn't inform any of us that you were coming.”
He sat down, bobbed his head, and beamed in delight. “Yes, I wanted to surprise you guys and to also congratulate you for eliminating Rowan. Also, you should see the gift I brought for you.”
Uhn? What gift? I didn't see anything with him when he came in.
“Wait for it, Amelia, dear, you will love this.” Seeing Amy giggling and wagging her tail in excitement showed that it must be something I want. And when he snapped his fingers and the door opened, yours faithfully was shoved in.
“Well, well, well,” I got up, clapping my hands in delight. It was Axel, his hands tied behind. He couldn't even raise his eyes to look at me, because why would he even do that after all he has done?
“Look who we have here.” I scoffed, got out of the chair, and walked towards him.
“After finding out that Rowan was dead, he tried to sneak the Pack members out of my Pack in the middle of the night, but I caught him.”
Whoa! The audacity.
“I have also brought back the members of the Valtorium Pack, Alpha Amelia, and I hope you have enough space in your pack to accommodate all of them."
Of course, there is enough space to house two more packs in the Lunskye. Across all the packs in this kingdom, our pack has the largest share of land.
“A lot of them fled and spread all over the Packs when they heard Rowan was killed, but be assured, I have sent spies all over the place, and when they find them, I will visit the Packs and negotiate with the Alphas.” A devilish smirk appeared at the side of his mouth.
Negotiate? Unlike attacking them. That devilish smirk means only one thing: Hams will break into those packs and forcefully take out the Valtorium Pack members. I don't care how he does it, but he dare not involve me and put my pack in danger.
I summoned General Lykon and handed over Axel to him with a strict warning. “Lock him up in the prison, and no matter what, do not let anyone visit him or give him anything to eat or drink.”
Axel must go through hell in my hands for trying to make a fool out of me. How dare he?
“Yes, Alpha Amelia, I will do as you have ordered.” He bowed his head, glared at Axel, whose gaze had been fixed on the floor since he was brought in, and grabbed his arm. “Pretender!” he spat at him and dragged him out of the office.
As soon as they left, Hams got up and gently slid his hands inside his pants pocket. The way his shoulders stood out like a statue, I would have been drooling over him like I had when we were dating, but he didn't even look attractive in my eyes; I felt like puking.
“Can he just leave already?” Amy scoffed, rolling her eyes, then she hissed loudly and buried her head between her paws. “I hate the sight of him.”
“Say that again, girl; I want him gone too.”
As if he knew what my wolf and I were discussing, he cleared his throat, drawing your attention. “I should be on my way now, Amelia. The Pack doesn't have another leader other than me.”
I nodded my head, forcing a smile even, and walked him to the door even though I didn't want to.
“Thanks for your help, Hams, I appreciate it.”
Immediately, he turned his back on me, and my eyes caught something at the back of his neck. I thought it was a tattoo, but when I took a closer look, my heart jumped and my eyes snapped open, and goosebumps appeared on my skin.
It wasn't a tattoo; it was a dark mark, a sign of loyalty to a secret council of the Dark Shadows organization.
