Chapter 11 Dealing with the ruthless Alpha

Chapter 11 Dealing with the ruthless Alpha
“Whoa! A beautiful wolf,” Rowan’s eyes widened, then a mischievous grin curled up his lips.

He spat the flood in his mouth on Axel, spread his arms, and lowered himself as if grooming a pet.

“Come here, kitty, come play with me,”

Those stupid words provoked us, and Amy jerked forward, and this time, she threw him on the tile floor, dipped her claws into his left bicep, and he let out a scream.

“I am not a kitty, rogue!” Amy thundered at him, breathing flame into his face.

Rowan’s eyes rolled in his socket. He tried to control his fears but couldn't. I thought his wolf would be a match for Amy, but no,

“Do you know I can kill you right here, Rowan?” She grabbed his neck between her claws, pinning his head on the floor so hard that Rowan couldn't lift it.

“You killed our parents, and I swear, I will kill you all one after the other!”

He mustn't know that we knew the rogues behind my parents’ extinction, and the moment Amy mentioned that, his eyes started blinking nervously.

So much for a mighty, ruthless, and evil Alpha who everyone else fears. What a kitty!

“Alpha Amelia!”

The terrified scream from the door made me look up, but that didn't distract me from Rowan who was beneath me.

“What are you doing?”

Almost all the elders in the Pack were present, eyes popped as if they were going to plunge out of their sockets.

Amy bounced back, and I landed on my feet. My blouse was soaked in sweat, and my makeup was a mess.

As I angrily looked at the elders one after the other, my eyes fell on Hans, who looked more amazed than shocked.

Rowan dragged his ass backward, stood on his feet, breathing angrily.

“How dare you, Amelia!” he thundered, sending fears into the elders; only Hans wasn't scared by his thunderous voice.

“You dared me, Rowan! You are a rogue, and the Lunskye Pack doesn't do business with rogues! Now get out of my Pack and don't you ever set your filthy foot in here!”

Rowan’s voice scared them, but mine sent them kneeling on the floor, holding each other for support.

“I will be back, Amelia, and I will embarrass you in front of your wolves!”

He stormed out, matching whoever cared to stay in his way.

“Alpha Amelia? You've just provoke Rowan, he his evil, he will cause war,”

Who cares? Let him bring the war; I will be the one to kill him.

“Out!”

I thundered, turning my back on them.

They staggered out of the office and shut the door.

But Hans didn't leave with them, and I am glad he didn't. Right now, he is the only one who would calm my mind with his scent.

And the moment he stepped closer to me, his musky scent filled my nostril, and my lungs relaxed.

“Are you alright, Amelia?”

He didn't wait for me to say a word to him, he wrapped his arms around my shoulder, holding me to his body from behind.

I shut my eyes, devouring his scent, and letting the sensation from his touch gush into my bloodstream.

We stayed that way for more than an hour, and the moment he pulled away from me, tears flowed down my face.

“He was part of those who killed my parents,” I cried out, my voice shaky and bitter. “I want to kill him too, I want his family to feel the pain I went through when my parents died.”

His sigh dropped on my back, and he hugged me again.

“We will kill him together, I promise you.”

He released me, turned me over to himself, and gently wiped the tears on my face with his delicate, long fingers.

I sniffled, flattened my hair back, and inhaled slowly.

“You are so brave, Amelia, dear, and this Alpha status suits you so well. Rowan is said to be the strongest and ruthless Alpha the Valtorium Pack has ever had, but he was no match for you. The strongest Alpha I see right now is you,”

His face shone like a moon when he smiled, and his teeth glittered like a diamond when he beamed. Hans is so lovely and caring. I am so lucky I chose him instead of another wolf in the pack.

My lips parted into a smile, and I gently placed my hand on his broad chest. However, the moment my eyes went to his face, I saw the wound on it.

It was a claw imprint left by a wolf.

“Were you engaged in a fight?” I gently ran my fingers on it, but he didn't even blink to show he was in pain.

“Just a scratch,”

He said it, like it was nothing. But that doesn't look like just a scratch. It looked as though he had fought with someone, and the person’s wolf scratched him.

Now that I think of it, he must have been in trouble yesterday which was why he didn't sleep in the room.

Gosh! Why am I so careless? I didn't even care to look for him.

“Who did this?” I asked, my eyes turning red in fury. But instead, he hugged me, gently patting my back.

“It's nothing serious, Amelia, do not worry over this.”

Honestly, I can't take it. No one in my Pack should be bullied. And who on earth would have done this to him?

He is an Alpha, and only an Alpha can fight with him. We don't have a male Alpha in this Pack apart from Hans. Or could it be Rowan? Could he have crossed paths with him and hit him because Hans is a weak fellow?

Rowan must know that Hans doesn't fight back because he has no strength and would have used that to injure him.

“It was Rowan, right?”

“Oh, no, it wasn't. It's a scratch; I must have injured myself when training to let out my wolf.”

I sighed deeply, held his chin, and turned his face around.

“I will send the healer to the Packhouse to have you check out. Let's go home.”

Together, we left the office, holding hands like a real couple.
