Chapter 79
Chapter 79
Five o'clock in the morning.
The sky outside was still dark, the apartment air cold. Nathan opened his eyes slowly, realizing that Elena was still fast asleep in his arms.
He smiled a little, rubbing Elena's damp hair against his cheek. She looked very tired. Last night, Nathan had really tortured her with pleasure.
Nathan breathed a sigh of relief. He looked down, kissing Elena's forehead without waking her.
"Sleep, my dear..." he whispered softly.
Carefully, Nathan got out of bed, picked up his T-shirt that was lying on the floor, then left the room, closing the door gently so as not to disturb her sleep.
As he stepped into the living room, Nathan let out a small yawn.
"Alright, next assignment..." he muttered as he ruffled his hair.
Nathan opened his phone, looking at the digital clock that was already pointing to five past five. After thinking for a moment, he smiled — he knew Elena's kids were usually up early to get ready for school.
Nathan walked into the children's rooms one by one.
Knock-knock-knock.
"Olivia, wake up. It's Uncle Nathan!" he called as he knocked gently on the door.
It didn’t take long for the door to open slightly. Olivia peeked out with her eyes still half-closed. As soon as she realized who was standing in front of her door, her eyes lit up.
"Uncle Nathan!" she exclaimed softly as she jumped up to hug him.
Nathan chuckled, returning the little girl's hug.
"Morning, Princess. Come on, get up. Uncle Nathan will make you a nice breakfast."
Olivia was instantly excited. She ran to her sisters' room, waking Katty and Delya as she shouted softly, "Uncle Nathan is here. Let's get up!"
One by one, the children came out of their room, their sleepy faces brightening as soon as they saw Nathan.
"Uncle Nathan, why are you here?" asked Delya curiously, rubbing her eyes.
Nathan winked, pretending to be secretive.
"Hmm, that's a long story. But anyway, now you get ready, okay? Breakfast will be here soon."
The children gave a small cheer.
Alva, the smallest, pulled Nathan's hand.
"Did you order a hamburger too?" he asked innocently.
Nathan chuckled. "Of course. I’ve ordered your favorite food!"
The children rushed to the bathroom, Nathan watching from the living room with a relieved smile.
While waiting, Nathan opened an online food app and quickly ordered breakfast.
"Because if I cook, the kitchen might catch fire," he muttered with a chuckle.
Soon, the apartment bell rang.
Nathan opened the door, took the delivery order, and set it on the dining table.
As he was busy opening the bags of food, he suddenly heard the front door being opened from outside.
Squeak.
Nathan turned his head quickly.
A woman walked in carrying a large bag. Her long hair was in a ponytail, her expression relaxed — until her eyes caught Nathan's figure in the living room.
They stared at each other for a few seconds.
Nathan raised a puzzled eyebrow. The woman also widened her eyes, then frowned.
"Uh, sorry sir, who are you?" the woman’s voice rose.
Nathan frowned. "And who are you?"
The woman — Sisca — placed her bag on the table with a bang.
"I’m Sisca, Young Master Alva's nanny!" she said, still half surprised. "Where's Mrs. Elena, sir?!"
The children rushed out of the room when they heard the noise.
Katty tugged Sisca's arm as she exclaimed, "Aunt Sisca! Calm down, Uncle Nathan is good. He's Mommy's friend!"
Olivia added, "Yes, Uncle Nathan slept here last night!"
Nathan almost choked on his own breath.
He raised his hands quickly, his face half panicked.
Sisca squinted, but she didn’t ask any more questions because it was none of her business.
Soon, a warm atmosphere filled the apartment.
The children laughed, Nathan giggled at the mess Alva made while eating his favorite food. Sisca grumbled softly with a smile.
Upstairs, unbeknownst to them, Elena stood on the stairs, leaning back with a sleepy smile.
Nathan looked at Elena standing on the stairs. Her beautiful face looked tired, but still charming in his eyes.
Without much thought, Nathan climbed the stairs with light steps. He approached Elena, then without saying anything, hugged her petite body from behind.
Elena gave a small gasp as she felt Nathan's warm embrace.
"What the hell..." she mumbled in embarrassment.
Nathan just laughed softly, bringing his face closer to Elena's neck. Gently, his lips touched her nape, planting a light kiss that made her skin instantly tingle.
"Nathan..." Elena whispered softly, her body automatically stiffening.
Nathan smiled behind her back.
"I miss you," he murmured, his voice husky and deep.
Elena looked down, smiling a little. "Missed? Weren’t you satisfied last night?"
Nathan replied by pressing his face deeper into her neck, inhaling the sweet scent of her body.
"With you... there’s no such thing as satisfied, let alone tired," he whispered.
Elena stifled a giggle, both amused and touched.
"You are... so spoiled. We have to hurry, remember we have something to finish today," she said, turning her head slightly.
Nathan laughed softly.
"Just for a minute. One little session before our busy day starts," he said as he lifted her body without warning.
"Nathan! Put me down!" protested Elena as she smacked his chest lightly.
But Nathan just chuckled.
"No way."
With ease, he carried her to their room. His steps were relaxed, as if he didn’t feel the weight of lifting her body.
Once inside the room, Nathan pushed the door with his foot, closing it tightly.
He lowered her slowly onto the bed, looking at her with a loving gaze.
Elena returned his gaze, her face flushed. She knew exactly where this was going. But in the corner of her heart, she couldn’t resist either — Nathan always managed to make her feel loved with every touch.
Nathan sat on the edge of the bed, pulling her hand closer.
"Come on... just a minute," he coaxed with a smile that made Elena's heart skip a beat.
Elena gave a small sigh, pretending to be annoyed.
"If we’re late, I’ll blame you entirely."
Nathan chuckled.
"My pleasure, darling."
With slow movements, he kissed Elena's forehead, then down her nose, cheeks, and finally found her lips.
The kiss was gentle, affectionate, unhurried.
Elena responded with her arms around Nathan's neck, pulling him closer.
They were immersed in each other's warmth, as if the outside world had disappeared for a moment.
Nathan's hand stroked Elena's hair, then down her back, giving her a soothing touch.
Elena felt how Nathan treated her with care, as if she were the most precious treasure to be guarded.
Before long, Nathan was lying on the bed, pulling Elena up to lie on top of him.
Elena smiled a little, looking into Nathan's clear eyes.
"Are you serious now?" she asked in a whisper.
Nathan nodded, his eyes not leaving her face.
"When I'm with you, I can even forget the world," he replied.
Elena chuckled, then looked down, giving him a brief peck on the lips.
"Alright... but hurry up. I’m also looking forward to meeting the person who dares to mess with my life," she said half-jokingly.
Nathan chuckled, gently turning her over so that she was now under him.
"Relax, my Queen. We’ll both take care of things after this."
They laughed together, before Nathan wrapped her in another long, sweet kiss.
At that moment, in the room, time seemed to stop.
There was no sound other than their intertwined breathing.
Nothing was more important than those simple seconds of love.
The day might be
long and tiring, but for Nathan, starting the morning with Elena in his arms was the greatest strength to face anything.
"Ah, Nathan..."
"Elena... keep screaming my name..."
