Chapter 66 Internal Conflict in the SilverBlade Pack
Chapter 66 Internal Conflict in the SilverBlade Pack
Aria's POV
These past few days have been a total whirlwind. I was so wiped out that I just crashed on the bed and knocked out cold.
When I finally woke up, it was already the next afternoon, and I got some news from Aurora.
She mentioned that Jason found out his weapons were stolen early the next morning, and he was so angry that he almost passed out.
Then, during a meeting with all the nobles, he went off on Colton, shooting down a bunch of his ideas and even accusing Harper of bugging Noah so much that Noah couldn't get any work done.
After the meeting, Colton got jumped by some mystery attackers on his way home.
Harper, who I had seriously messed up, suddenly couldn't get his hands on some crucial meds and was on the verge of dying. But a super expensive doctor managed to save him for now, though he made it clear they still needed to find that essential medicine ASAP.
But Jason wasn't about to let them find it.
Colton must've figured out that Jason was behind the attack, so he stormed into the Brooks Mansion that afternoon and had a massive blowout with Jason. They totally fell out.
Colton even went as far as to declare that he was going to make himself the new Alpha of the SilverBlade Pack!
Jason and Colton got into a fight, but a bunch of guards broke it up before either of them got seriously hurt.
Honestly, I kinda wished they'd just taken each other out. But no worries, I had everything under control. I just needed to sit back and watch them tear each other apart. When the dust settled, no matter who emerged victorious, I would be ready to take them both down.
"What are you thinking about?" Lucien's voice suddenly came from behind, making me jump.
"Do you always sneak up on people like that?" I pouted, annoyed.
Lucien shrugged. "I called your name as soon as I walked in, but you didn't even notice."
"Aria, what's on your mind? You've been spacing out a lot lately, and I have to call your name a bunch of times before you snap out of it. Is there something else you're not telling me besides wanting to avenge Grace and kill Harper?"
"As expected of the Vampire King, always thinking outside the box. How could I hide anything from you? My only goal right now is revenge." I put on my most serious face and repeated, "I swear to God, everything I'm doing is for revenge. Nothing else!"
Lucien cupped my face. "Silly girl, who asked you to swear? Even if you are hiding something from me, it doesn't matter. As long as you truly love me, I don't care about anything else."
He hugged me, his eyes drifting to my legs with a hint of pain. "There are some top-notch doctors here. Do you want me to get one to check your legs? It's gotta be tough always being in a wheelchair."
"Okay," I nodded.
Getting back on my feet soon would be a game-changer. But the last doctor said my leg issue was all in my head and that I had to overcome it myself.
Honestly, it was not just about Grace's death; it was the hatred I held onto. If breaking down my mental walls was the key to walking again, then I needed to take down Jason, Colton, and Harper to have a shot at recovery. I wondered if the vampire clan's doctors had any other tricks up their sleeves.
Lucien must've sensed my sadness because he lifted my chin and gently kissed the corner of my mouth. "My beautiful princess, whether you can stand or not, you're just as important to me."
I leaned into his embrace, resting my head on his chest, avoiding his gaze. His eyes were so full of affection, and I was scared I'd fall for him all over again.
We hugged in silence, and slowly, I felt something hard pressing against my bottom. I shifted uncomfortably, trying to avoid it, but Lucien suddenly held my waist. In a hoarse voice, he said, "Don't move."
I suddenly realized that the thing pressing against my bottom was his penis!
I stiffened, not daring to move at all. I couldn't guarantee that my movements wouldn't make it harder.
I didn't want to have sex with Lucien. To be honest, I didn't want to have sex with any man anymore.
That night, I went to Noah with a burning desire, trying to make love to him and calm my urges. But the seductive moans made me feel sick.
As time passed, my whole body started to go numb. "Lucien, I'm uncomfortable."
"Aria, you saying that makes me want to fuck you even more." Lucien's voice grew hoarser, his hand squeezing my breast, his head instinctively moving towards my nipple.
I covered my breast with one hand and lifted Lucien's head with the other. "Sorry, I'm not in the mood today."
Lucien smiled wryly, nodding as he hugged me tightly. "Okay, then just let me hold you like this, okay?"
I could clearly feel that Lucien's penis pressing against my bottom showed no signs of softening.
"If that's the case, it's fine. But are you sure you really just want to hold me right now?" I pointed to my bottom. I could guarantee that if he applied a little force, his cock would penetrate my vagina through our clothes.
Lucien reluctantly placed me on the bed, giving me a light kiss on the forehead. "Wait for me."
He quickly went into the bathroom, and the sound of running water immediately filled the room.
A profound sense of relief washed over me. In that instant, I realized it was a psychological affliction that had confined me to this wheelchair. The trauma inflicted by Noah that night couldn't doom me to a lifetime devoid of intimate pleasure; my psyche was not so delicate. I wouldn't allow grief and sorrow to govern my existence.
I climbed into the wheelchair, wheeled myself to the bathroom door, took a deep breath, and pushed it open. "Lucien, I think I can make you feel better than cold water."
