Chapter 19 I won't ever accept you as part of this family
(THIRD PERSON'S P.O.V)

Shannica walks closer and decided to stop at the back of the child. She saw a multiplication table on the iPad which Xenon is currently memorizing.

She smiles and decided to walk in front of him, Xenon noticed her, he stops from studying, and he's dark aura started to come back.

"Hi." Shannica said smiling.
"Your name is Xenon, right? Why are you here, kiddo?" she added and sit in the chair next to him.

Xenon looks at Shannica with a bored look and didn't bother to answer her. He ignores Shannica's presence and decided to continue his studying.

"What are you doing here, Xenon?" she questioned the kid again.

"Just go on your way. You don't need to act kind in front of me." Xenon finally answered, but in a rude way.

Shannica got stunned after hearing such a cold treatment to the child, she sighs,
"O-Oh sorry. I know you were quite startled by your Dad's sudden marriage, Xenon. We didn't mean to shock you like that.."Shannica apologizes.

Weird, but Shannica felt like she's talking to a grown up man but not to a child.

'Gosh, this kid is so intimidating...' Shannica thought so.

"You see, we're about to become a family. H-How can I prove myself to you, Xenon? I-I'll be good to you, Xenon.. Hmm do you want us to play? I'll be your playmate from now on if you want me to." Shannica offers in a cheerful tone.

But Xenon furrowed his brows and glare at Shannica,
"Am I a kid or something? Playing is such a waste of time. Don't mock me, old woman."

Shannica's jaw dropped after what Xenon said,
'What did he just called me? OLD WOMAN?!! ME?! And yes boy, YOU ARE STILL A KID!'

Shannica faked a laugh, "Haha.. You're quite funny, little man. I'm still not that old though. I'm just the same age with your Dad." she answers.

Xenon leer at Shannica, "If you're after my Dad's money, go get them all and leave. We don't need someone like you." he said straightforward.

Shannica unbelievably look at Xenon and decided to ignore his words,
"It's sunday, you shouldn't be studying right now. Kids are supposed to have fun during weekends." I said.

"I said I'm not a kid!" He exclaimed.
"Yes you are." I talked back.
"No I'm not!" he yells and he already look so annoyed.

Shannica chuckled a bit and sigh, "Hmm instead of being alone here by yourself, why don't you come with us?" Shannica invited.

'Xander won't mind if I'll try reaching out to Xenon right?'

Xenon's annoyed face replaced in a confused look. He stared at Shannica as if he's trying to figure out what is Shannica thinking.

"We're just meeting with the wedding planner today, Xenon. How about the three of us will have some fun after?" Shannica invited in an exciting tone.

'The three of us...?' Xenon thought so in his head. He clenched his fist thinking that his Dad, Xander, never even make time for him before. Xander and Xenon never went out together to have some fun or to have some quality time together. Not even once.

"Do you want to go to arcade? Amusement park? I know a lot of place for a kid like you, Xenon. I promise, you will enjoy!" Shannica added with a wide smile on her face.

He look away and avoided Shannica's gaze,
"I'm not interested. Besides, I'm busy, so don't bother me." Xenon answered in a cold tone.

Shannica's smile faded,
"B-But.."

"If you're trying to get closer to me or something, just give up. I don't trust anyone." Xenon added in such an arrogant gaze.

'Not even my own Dad...' he added on his mind and shook his head.

Shannica stare Xenon seriously after what he said, she observed that Xenon's personality is not even appropriate for his age.

'Why does this kid sound so negative and blue? It bothers me...'

A moment after, Shannica saw a leaf in Xenon's hair so she went closer and tried to get the leaf on his hair, but after Xenon detect Shannica's action, he stood up and push Shannica away slightly.

"Get away from me, how dare you!" he exclaims.

"S-Sorry I didn't mean to startle you, there's a leaf in your hair----"

"Don't you ever touch me ever again. Who do you think you are? You're just a stranger who suddenly pop up out of nowhere. And I won't ever accept you as part of this family. Remember that, old woman." Xenon said in a warning tone. He throws his iPad on the ground and starts running away.

" X-Xenon!" Shannica calls for him but unfortunately his nanny Glenda and Aunt Milla appeared.

The two look at Shannica in a 'What happened?' look...

She sigh and pick up the iPad Xenon throws.

She handed it to Glenda,
"Sorry... C-Can you follow Xenon in my behalf? It seems like he's upset because of me." she said honestly.

Glenda look confused but just followed what Shannica said,
"Young master wait!" Glenda hissed.

Shannica felt bad, 'Hays, what have you done Shannica? You're making things worst.'

Aunt Milla then left alone with Shannica, and she glanced at her expression which looks like Shannica was bothered.

"Miss Shannica, can we have a talk for a minute?" she asks.

Shannica who was feeling down after what just the kid said to her, look at the head maid Milla in a surprised look.

"S-Sure. What is it?"
