Chapter 60 The list plan

Chapter 60 The list plan
Rosie's POV
Mission 1. Call Aria.
Mission 2. Steal two kids.
Mission 3. Explain to Harry.
Mission 4. Don't panic.
These missions rang in my mind as soon as I left the bathroom. My vision had even become blurry.
Or is it because I saw his dick that I'm panicking? The tingle his naked body sent me made my brain freeze for a second.
I imagined sucking it, I was ready to lose my composure and jump into the tub, waiting until he came to me.
But no! I needed to wake up because he'd be expecting someone.
He's suspicious of me, I feel it, and Harry? Did he dig up about me and suddenly discover there's a Harry in my life?
This is worse than I thought. Hurriedly, I reached for my phone to contact Aria.
But first, I sent a long epistle of apologies to Harry and the kids. He knows the lies he'd use to soothe them.
Now, reaching Aria was the problem because her line wasn't connecting.
To worsen it, she's a lesbian, but I think she can pull this trick.
I can't use the other because she'd break out of character. What should I do?
He's coming! I could hear his footsteps from downstairs and closing my eyes, I was ready to be caught up in my own lies.
"Are we allowed in or not?" A familiar voice answered, and I opened my eyes, shocked and perplexed at the same time.
There she was, holding two girls who definitely looked like they wanted to get done with this and ran away.
"Aria!!!" I cried with a strand of tears dropping from my eyes. I spread my arms to hug her.
I don't know how to explain this, but Harry must have pulled a trick.
She was baffled but quickly started the hug and laughed.
"Your heart is about to explode," she teased, gesturing to me to relax, but I was still on edge.
"Thank you," I mouthed, wiping my tears as she had just saved me.
"Girls, say hi to Rosie," Aria instructed, smiling warmly, and the girls waved at me, no smiles but an expression that screams, "How did we get here?"
"Hi," they chorused in haste as their feet scurried to the table.
I chuckled, flailing my fingers at Aria.
"The hot guy is just behind you," she whispered, and I nodded. My fingertips were cold, but I tried not to panic.
"Hello, Rosie friend," he calls, closing up the space between us.
He was beside me now and stretched his hand to hers, and when she accepted it, he kissed the back of her palm in courtesy.
"Ooo, I might just be wet from that," she joked, and I ducked my head at her, eyeing her to compose.
"I'm flustered by that," he replied, taking a glance at me before leaving her hand.
He threw his one arm over my shoulder, hauling me closer to him while staring into my eyes.
I was enthralled again with icy eyes on me, and everything was suspended, not even the people around me existed again.
"I'm her husband, alpha, present and future mate," he said in a seductive tone, then replaced the words with a subtle kiss that melted me away.
"Wow, that's one hot kiss," one of the girls whistled, and I blushed, feeling timid in his arms.
"Well, nice to meet you again, Alpha Damien"
Oh yes, they met in the precinct, and when he created chaos in my shop.
Although Damien looks puzzled by that, as though he's lost in thought, whether they've met or not.
However, he hid that with a brief smile. His grip on me hardened and I bit my lips.
"Please join us, a wonderful woman, like you shouldn't be standing for too long," Damien said, and I gawked at him, trying not to get jealous that he kept praising people as if he knew them.
What about me? I mean I would have almost died of a heart attack trying to cover up loops of my lies.
Like he knew what I was thinking about and kissed me on the crown of my hair.
That kiss had a spell to keep me calm, and I was drowning as always in the feeling of him.
Aria teased me and Damien scoffed, wearing a mask of pride. He turned to look at the two girls, abandoning us to talk to them.
"He isn't that bad," she whispered as we now walk side by side to meet the others at the table.
Yes, he is.
Okay? I shouldn't be blushing, but seeing Harry in shorts and T-shirt made him drip, so attractive that, rather than eating, I think I'd be fed up by just staring at him.
He's good at anything, he tries. I don't mind saying this over and over again.
Surprisingly, Damien sat between the girls, the way he looked at them adorably, and they seemed free with him.
He was helping them serve their favorite course meal while he asked them irrelevant questions about school, their favorite.
Watching him feels like I'm looking at a different person. I just hope he doesn't use swear words and something nasty doesn't escape his lips.
Aria and I were holding hands, shaking our legs under the table and probably praying the same words to the moon goddess.
Do not let Damien catch us in our lies.
"So Aria, do you mind telling me where you guys met? I mean, I'm curious," Damien suddenly asked, shifting his attention to us as the girls seemed busy with their meal.
"Aunt A..."
"Mom," the second called, as her smile creeped me out. Damien raised an arched brow at me, curiously, but then smiled.
I hate this man, mostly when he smiles. Those eyes, they were already calculating the chances of my telling a lie or the truth.
"We met three years ago, when she was a lonely girl, wandering and searching for a reason to survive..."
I pinched her thighs to stop the poetic story which would make everyone sleep on the dining table.
"Interesting," Damien said, taking a bottle of water to drink.
"With such lovely girls, and a family to take care of, you still care for her, you're the best," he complimented, raising a thumb up for her, and Aria looked flustered, biting her lips.
She had better not think of becoming straight!
