Chapter 37 Thirty seven
Chapter 37 Thirty seven
They all marched forward in unison after sighting me. They looked really desperate and angry. I controlled my wolf to be calm.
I held Thomas very tight so he wouldn't fall. I finally pulled out the pistol and shot a bullet at the vampires.
They all fell to the ground when the bullet met them one after the other. I roared aloud in the rain and continued to shoot without minding the splash of blood all over.
They caused my anger when they shot at my prince, I will make sure they all pay with their lives.
The thought of seeing my Prince in such a state made me even more ruthless and I continued to shoot.
I believe I was looking like a devil that was set directly from hell or someone crazy that desperately wants to survive.
After shooting for a while the battle that looked unending finally ended. I looked and realized I just killed every one of them single-handedly. My body was filled with the splash of blood from the vampires.
I looked around and saw all the corpses lying on the ground and I roared again. I turned around and left with Thomas on my arm, he was unconscious so I had to carry him.
Though it was a little difficult I had no other choice. It was still raining down very heavily.
I had to wait somewhere for shelter, so I could check his injury and take care of it. Every step I took my footprint was stuck on the floor because of the mud.
I was walking in the rain with a full-grown man on my back, veins were all over my forehead to prove how I struggled to carry him.
After walking for a while, I sighted a cave. I knew some vampires would still be lurking nearby, so the cave would be a good place for shelter.
At least I will be a little safe here with Prince Thomas. I entered the cave and laid him down. The cave was portable, it was not small nor was it too big.
It was enough to contain both of us, and sustain us till Thomas regained his consciousness.
The ground was filled with weeds, and the slate was the only clean place in the cave. I lay Thomas on the slate, with his wet body, his handsome face filled with blood stains.
"I am so sorry Mr.Taylor," I whispered as I started taking off his clothes.
"This is the only possible way I can take care of you, and prevent your condition from getting worse." With his injury, it will be dangerous if he keeps wearing his clothes.
He might fall ill, and his injury will get worse. I removed his clothes immediately, including his underwear.
Then I noticed there was a dry part in his dress, so I tore it and wrapped it around his injury.
Later I realized the withered branches from a very close area, so I stood up immediately and went to get them to set fire in the cave.
The cave became warm and the temperature in the cave was slowly increasing. I could see Thomas' name through the dim glow of the fire.
His physical appearance was well built and maintained that there was no single sight of fat around his body.
His skin was wheat-colored, it looked very attractive in the dim light, his chest, muscles, and abdomen looked well built and so unreal.
I strolled my eyes downwards and I sighted something that made me open my mouth in shock, at first I felt it was wrong to look, but I just could not stop myself from looking. It was so big, I stared at it for a while before I finally looked away.
I could feel my heart race faster upon seeing it.
"What is wrong Mr. Taylor, are you feeling okay?"
I asked in a hurried tone, I touched his forehead. It was really burning up. It must be fever, what do I do now?"
"I-a-am cold..." These were the only words that came out of his mouth. His eyes were still not opened and his eyelashes were so long that they quivered over them.
I moved closer to take a good and clearer look at him. I realized his body was shaking gently, and his lips were slowly changing color.
I hurriedly added more branches to the fire, but he was still not getting better. He was still obviously cold and seriously shivering.
I just knew the cold will definitely have some effects on him. I was thinking too much about what to do, but nothing was clear to me.
The rain was still heavy, I can't take him out like this, and I am not sure the vampires are totally gone. If they catch me I will definitely be killed alongside the prince.
I will have to warm him up myself since there is no way out again.
I stood up and walked closer to him, and hugged him tightly. I felt weird about making such a decision, but I had no other choice.
I felt a little ashamed but I cannot watch the prince die from a bullet that was supposed to be mine.
I felt the warm heat coming from his body. He was still having a serious fever.
Even with the fever, he was still so cold that he continued shivering. I didn't know what else to do.
"Do you feel better now?" I asked while I hugged him tighter. I was trying to make him feel warm from the heat of my body
I felt as though he responded when he wrapped his arms around my body and rested his face on my body.
Obviously, he was unconscious but I found myself blushing upon seeing his face on my chest.
His face was very hit when he rested it on my bare chest, it felt like a fire started in my chest. I was slowly turning red.
