Chapter 165 The Luna’s Dawn

Chapter 165 The Luna’s Dawn
The next day came in a blur, and before I knew it, I was stretching up from my bed. I slowly opened my eyes, still feeling a little sleepy, but the moment I turned my head, my eyes widened when I saw seven maids standing around my bed.

“Good morning, Luna Elara,” they all greeted at the same time.

I sat up quickly, looking at them one after another. I wasn't used to waking up and seeing so many people waiting for me, so their presence caught me off guard. I rubbed my eyes, wondering if I was still dreaming.

I turned to my side and immediately noticed that Kiran was nowhere to be found.

Where did he go?

I frowned slightly, then remembered what today was.

Ah, yes. Today was my big day.

My coronation as the Luna.

I looked around the room again, suddenly realizing how late I must have slept. I couldn't even remember when I had fallen asleep. The past few days had been filled with so many things that I hadn't even realized how exhausted I was until my body finally forced me to rest.

I slowly sat up from the bed and looked at one of the maids.

“Did I sleep that much?” I asked.

She smiled and shook her head.

“A little, Luna, but it is okay. You have been overwhelmed with stress, and you needed the rest.”

I let out a small sigh of relief. I had honestly expected to have overslept badly and missed half of the preparations.

I turned to the other side of the room and noticed several baskets placed neatly beside one another. Inside them were different kinds of royal clothes, accessories, shoes, and fragrances. Everything had been arranged so carefully that I couldn't help but stare.

There were so many beautiful things.

I had never imagined that I would wake up one day and find myself surrounded by all of this. For most of my life, I had never even imagined wearing clothes like these, let alone having maids prepare them for me.

I felt like a princess.

Then I smiled to myself.

Or should I say a queen?

I couldn't help but feel a little amused by my own thought. Just a short while ago, I was still trying to understand my new position, and now I was preparing for my coronation as the Luna.

I carefully got down from the bed and walked toward the baskets. I checked them one after another, running my fingers over some of the fabrics. Everything was properly arranged, from the clothes to the fragrances and other things I would need for the ceremony.

Outside the room, I could hear the sound of footsteps moving in and out. People were clearly busy preparing for the celebration. Every now and then, I heard voices in the hallway, followed by the sound of people carrying things around.

Wow.

I hadn't expected them to go this far for me.

I knew there would be a coronation, but I didn't realize that everyone would put so much effort into making it feel like a real celebration.

I had never imagined anyone throwing a party for me like this. Not ever in my life.

The thought made my chest feel warm.

“Luna, you need to get ready right now. The party will soon start. We are here to dress you,” one of the maids said.

I turned toward them and nodded.

I looked at their faces for a moment and realized that most of them were new to me. I didn't recognize them at all. They must have been assigned to help me because of the coronation.

If it were a random day, I probably would have told them that I could handle everything myself, but today was different. There was so much to prepare, and I knew I couldn't spend all morning trying to do everything alone.

Still, I wasn't completely comfortable having people follow me everywhere.

“Okay, it's fine. Let me quickly bathe,” I said.

One of the maids immediately stepped forward as if she wanted to follow me.

“No, no, no, don't worry. I can have my shower myself,” I said quickly.

She stopped and nodded.

I smiled at her before walking away, glad that she understood.

I made my way toward the bathing area, still thinking about everything that had happened. My mind was filled with different emotions. I was excited, nervous, and a little overwhelmed. Today was supposed to be a happy day, but knowing that so many people would be watching me made me feel slightly anxious.

I reached the bathing pool and stopped at the entrance.

My eyes widened.

It was already decorated with flowers, and the water was warm. The flowers floated gently across the surface of the pool, making the entire place look peaceful and beautiful.

I stepped closer, taking in the sight.

Wow, this is beautiful.

After taking my bath, the clothes session started, and by then, the time was already drawing close to 12 p.m. I stood in front of the baskets while the maids moved around me, bringing out different gowns and placing them on the bed. There were so many beautiful dresses that it was becoming difficult to pick the perfect one.

Every gown looked royal, elegant, and expensive, but I wanted something that felt right for me. After everything that had happened, I wanted to look perfect for my coronation.

“Ma’am, do you like this?” one of the maids asked as she lifted a dress from one of the baskets.

I turned toward her, and my eyes immediately landed on the gown in her hands.

It was a beautiful white and red dress with diamond crystals carefully carved into some parts of it. There were little moon signs designed across the fabric, making it look even more special. The dress was strapless, and the way the white and red colors blended together made it look like something meant for royalty.

I couldn't take my eyes off it.

“This is beautiful,” I said, walking closer to inspect it. I gently touched the fabric, admiring the details. “But I think we should still do a little check.”

The maid nodded, and the others immediately began searching through the baskets again.

I stood there patiently while they brought out one gown after another. Some were red, some were white, and others had different combinations of colors and designs. They were all beautiful in their own ways, and I could tell that a lot of effort had gone into preparing them for me.

Still, none of them felt as perfect as the first one.

They continued searching, checking every basket and folding clothes to the side as they looked through everything.

After searching for a while, they finally stopped.

The dress they brought out was beautiful, but honestly, it was probably the least impressive one I had seen so far.

I stared at it for a moment before looking back at the first gown.

Although all the gowns were royal and very beautiful, I had already fallen in love with the first one.

“I think I'll go with the first one,” I said.

The maids immediately nodded and prepared the dress for me.

They helped me put it on carefully, making sure the fabric sat properly against my body. I lifted my arms slightly as they adjusted the gown around my waist and shoulders. Once they were satisfied with everything, one of them moved behind me to zip it.

She pulled the zipper up slowly until it was completely closed.

I took a small breath when the dress tightened around me. It was fitted, and for a moment, I felt a little smushed inside it. I tried adjusting myself, hoping I would get used to it.

Then I suddenly felt a hand on my waist.

I froze.

My heart skipped as I turned my head to see who it was.

Kiran. My husband.

“You are here?” I asked, surprised.

The moment the maids noticed him, they quickly excused themselves and left the room, giving us some privacy.

I turned around to face him properly, and I couldn't help but smile.

Unlike normal days, Kiran looked very different today. His hair was neatly combed, resting against his shoulder, and he was dressed in a black royal outfit decorated with beautiful designs. The clothes suited him perfectly and made him look even more like the Alpha he was.

He looked more handsome than usual.

His eyes remained on mine as he stepped closer and gently cupped my face with both hands.

I smiled at him, feeling my cheeks warm slightly.

“Why didn't you wake me earlier?” I asked.

“I wanted you to rest,” he replied. “You looked quite tired.”

I smiled softly.

“Yeah. I rested because I was tired, but because after years of being with Alex and months of being here, I finally found peace. I finally feel whole again. I couldn't help myself.”

The moment I finished speaking, Kiran pulled me into his arms.

I rested my head against his chest and wrapped my arms around him, enjoying the warmth of his embrace. There was something comforting about being held by him, especially after everything I had gone through.

“Don't worry,” he whispered. “I'll always be here for you.”

I nodded against his chest before slowly pulling away.

“The party will start soon,” he continued. “The nearby family Alphas I invited have already started coming. You know, I didn't invite all the Alphas because I don't want to cast an evil eye on us. That's why I kept the gathering small.”

I listened quietly as he explained.

He looked genuinely excited about today, and seeing that made me feel even happier. This wasn't just my coronation. It was something we were celebrating together.

“The party will soon start,” he said. “It's just a celebration, and today is our biggest day.”

I nodded, smiling at him.

“Okay, sir. I'll be coming out soon. The maids just want to prepare me,” I said to him.

He nodded.
