Chapter 57: The Beginning Of Us

One year later…

“Could this day get any better?” she squealed, dropping the phone on the table and jumping on his lap. She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed his lips.

“Hmm.” He inhaled sharply, wrapping an arm around her waist. “I love it when you’re happy. Makes you want to kiss me whenever you are.”

She bit down her lip, running her fingers through his hair. “I also love it when I kiss you too.” She brushed her nose against his and kissed him again. She moved back, placing her forehead against him and looking at him. She placed a hand on his cheek and caressed it.

“Remember Ryan’s girlfriend I was telling you about?” He halted for a couple of seconds before nodding.

“Well, he told me that he just proposed to her and she said yes,” she announced. His eyes gape with astonishment, followed by excitement.

“That’s… that a really great news. Miley and Daniel together with a baby, Ryan finding love and we’re getting married in a week—this is all so amazing.”

Hunter proposed to her a month ago and decided to have a small, low-key wedding with a few friends and family to witness the new beginning of their love life. She loved the idea of that. She loved the idea of having just a few people and not having to plan months' worth of a stressful wedding.

She got this knot of excitement in her stomach when he leaned forward and pressed his mouth to hers, like he didn’t care someone might just walk in on them.

“Let’s take a swim, I wanna make out with you in the pool until my mouth hurts.”

He gripped her waist as he gave her a daring smirk. He loved her idea—she always came up with the craziest and freakiest ideas that drove him crazy. He kissed her jaw and lifted her up. “Have I ever told you how much I love you?” he said, walking them to the pool.

She giggled and wrapped her arms around his neck, and kissed him.

“You pretty much don’t have any choice.”

They spent the next hour doing the same thing until Hunter had to go out.

The End.
